A familiar face walked by and waved in Lois’ direction. Lois lifted his hand, about to wave back to Moth, when he realized he was making eye contact with the boy next to him instead. The boy nodded, and Lois tried to play it off like he was reaching up to adjust his glasses instead of waving. Hopefully no one had noticed. The fairy disappeared back into the crowd. Lois stared down at his mug and untouched breakfast plate. He should eat something. He didn’t want to. He was shaking a bit, and the coffee wasn’t helping. He pushed the plate away and rested his head in his hands.

Oh wow, I forgot. There really are a lot of ways to say it. Maybe I should make a joke about it in my writing project and spell the word differently every time I write it.
