Moth
Ari seemed like the kind of person who wanted to fly.
Moth had not taken many humans into his kingdom before. Letting Ari tag along had been fun, but there was a strong possibility that the boy could have gone mad. Geniuses and madmen alike wandered into fairyland and never returned.
A part of Moth hoped that Ari would wake up the next morning and think the moonworm story was all a dream. If anything haunted Ari for the rest of his life, it would be Moth’s fault for being too excited to share his adventures.
Moth spoke quietly, letting the breeze carry his voice. “What does your name have to do with flying?”

He looked toward Moth though his eyes grew distant.
“Ari means eagle, one of the windlords. They live in the northern mountains if the stories are true. Great prey birds large enough to carry off horses. I’m going to look for them one day, see if the old rumors can be trusted.”
Yes, he would go look for the windlords. If he happened to find out where the rest of his lost uncles’ houses went…then he’d find out where they went. If any of them survived the sundering.
And if any of them had avoided the curse.
Wasn’t like anyone of his father’s house was going to tell him, everything considered.
A cup of tea is cheaper than therapy.
