@leon-fleming Sounds like fun!
@e-k-seaver That’s super cool. I might have to see about tagging along with my grandma or my dad to more of those. XD (They both work in big homeschooling circles, so my grandma, especially, goes to a bunch of conferences.)Speculative fiction author. Mythology nerd. Singer. Worldbuilding enthusiast.
October 12, 2020 at 10:32 am #85693@leon-fleming, I guess it’s good you aren’t blind, eh?
You must have.
Eh, yeah.
@r-m-archer, like, 90% of the sessions were super boring but then there were those few on writing or other stuff that were neat.The pen is mightier than the sword, but in a duel, I'm taking the sword.
ekseaver.wordpress.comOctober 12, 2020 at 10:44 am #85694@e-k-seaver Yeah, that would be a bit of a problem.
I really must have; I have eyes in the back of mine skull, you know; character idea, gotta go!
October 12, 2020 at 10:46 am #85695@leon-fleming T’would, especially for a writer. I’d imagine that would be very difficult.
Wowww. That’s quite impressive.

ekseaver.wordpress.comOctober 12, 2020 at 10:51 am #85696@e-k-seaver Oh, aye, it would, too, lass. I wouldn’t be able to use mine computer at all. Talk about actually reading, writing like I usually do. I’d have to use braille. Which could be interesting, but I don’t plan on finding out anytime soon.
Heh-heh. Oh, yeah, those; they get kinda hard to rub at times, though. (Considering if you were talking about the character idea): Have you ever met a creepy guy who always hangs around a certain place, selling fruit-flavoured chocolates? Sounds like a character in a Lemony Snicket novel.
October 12, 2020 at 10:54 am #85697@leon-fleming, oi, Scottish are we? I dinna know that was a thing. And agreed, Braille seems rather complex.
I’d imagine. Actually yes, he’s always meandering around the corner between NW Street and Main. Well, I haven’t actually met him, just pulled my sisters away whenever he offers them a sweet.

ekseaver.wordpress.comOctober 12, 2020 at 11:02 am #85698@e-k-seaver Oi? As in Indian? Oi! Aye, Scottish; I’m a Scott, meself, now that ye ask. Though only in part. Last I heard though, ’twasn’t much of a thing. Yeah.
Hmm, I see. I met him once and he told me a rather peculiar joke, but I’ve forgotten it now. He seemed a little off his rocker, if you ask me. And I’ve never tried his chocolates, too, and for good reason. I’d rather buy the ones across the street, anyways. You know, they’ve got quite a nice café over there. Great coffee, great little food selection, and these blueberry scones which I eat every time I go in there. I spy on him a lot, and I must say his comings and goings are just a bit strange.
October 12, 2020 at 11:08 am #85699@leon-fleming, Oi, Aye, whatever ye’d prefer to say. Myself, I use both interchangeably. And I’ve got a fair bit of Scottish/British/Irish blood runnin’ through my own veins. The bit that’s not from the UK would be from Germany and France. I’m European through and through.
Ah, *mutters to someone beside me* And this is why I don’t talk to people on the streets. See, I’ve started to avoid that side of town. The man is untrustworthy if you ask me, and dealing with him won’t end in anything good from the books I’ve read. Ooh, I went to that café once and they were plum out of scones. Otherwise, their food was a touch too expensive when I could just make it myself at home.

ekseaver.wordpress.comOctober 12, 2020 at 11:21 am #85700@e-k-seaver I personally don’t use ‘oi’ at all, but that’s just because I generally don’t think of it. I do use ‘aye’ a lot, though; strangely enough, I’ve got all those bloods in me, except for French (which I’m making up for by learning their language: Je voudrais parler Français at present. French and English are very interlinked.) I’m more Scandinavian than Irish/Scottish though. It rivals with my English/British.
Exactly; I usually pull my hat down and flip up the collar of my trench-coat-which-I-haven’t-got-yet. Aye, I wouldn’t trust him with my dog’s leash. He’s got himself in the books, as well? I thought as much. He’s that sort of character who would. I don’t know. He just seems a little too eccentric.
Really?! Oh, that stinks, you probably came at the wrong time of the day. Or the wrong day; they usually don’t have those on Saturdays. On Saturdays they cook up a set of cherry and/or blackberry pies. Speaking of making things at home etc., my mom used to make this blackberry pie out of our home-grown blackberries back at our old house (which was the best we’ve had so far). I remember them being delicious. My sister/mom occasionally’ll make sconces or something like that (cookies are a regular, too). I could eat the whole pan, they’re so good.
October 12, 2020 at 11:30 am #85701@leon-fleming That’s rather fascinating. See, I have a friend, and between the two of us, he and I can make up the entirety of the major countries who fought in WWII. We’ll frequently joke about it but those around us don’t understand and it takes a rather lot of explaining to clue them in on it. Pero estoy aprendiendo español. 😉 Even though
Ooh, I ought to get a trench coat. I have a number of old fashioned hats (That is to say, two.) but haven’t got around to finding myself a comfortable trench coat.
Ah, I do think I visited on a Saturday. One of the only times of day one has– a day that one has time. Or something of the like. *shakes head* I really ought to try those, though. I don’t actually like pie. Except for pecan pie, which speaking of, I bet we’ll have at my grandfather’s and step-grandmother’s next month.

ekseaver.wordpress.comOctober 12, 2020 at 11:33 am #85702Oi, my rank changed. That’s fun. Although I rather enjoyed being the… oh what was it– some kind of rogue or rebel.

@leon-fleming @e-k-seaver
*backs away slowly* Apparently I’ve been booted out of the conversation, so…
I’m Type 1.
And, no, that was not a complement. Since you would take it as one, I didn’t actually say it.
And you’ll die eventually.
Y’all have fun with your chocolates and cookies and ayes. And just so ye be a-knowin’, I be more Scottish than the both o’ ye Sassenach.
BTW, I think oi is a wonderful word. We should all use it more often.

Feel free to reenter our insanity. *ushers you in*
Ahh, 1. *bows* An 8, at your service.
Not-compliments are fun.
Everyone does.
I’m sure ya’ are, miss.
*victorious cheer* SOMEONE AGREES WITH ME.
