This is really random, but if you want some good Star Wars fanfic, I recommend Pente Patrol and Elseworlds on Youtube, they’re audio so great for listening to while doing chores.

We crazy people are the normal ones.

@freedomwriter76 I understand. I have a few villains I really hate too, but fortunately I don’t write for any of their fandoms as much.

Welp, I have written another Marvel short story…😂

                here it is!!!!

                Trenton, New Jersey

                1934

“Think your sisters will like the gifts you got them?”

Bucky huffed. “They better. I used some hard-earned cash for these.”

Steve chuckled at his friend who, unsuccessfully, tried to act tough about his younger sisters. Some would think it was a unbecoming for an older brother to gush over and even spoil his younger sisters, but Bucky wasn’t as tough as he may have seemed.

Bucky tucked an awry strand of his brown hair behind his left ear. “Now that the fair is pretty much over, I guess we should be on our way back home. Did you have the tickets, or…?”

                “You have them.”

                “Hold these for a minute.”

Steve took the three gifts from his friend, each gift as small as it was sweet, one for each of Bucky’s three younger sisters.

Bucky checked his coat pockets, then his shirt pockets, and finally his pant pockets. “…Oops.”

                “Bucky, did you-?”

“Don’t worry, I’m sure we have enough for more tickets. Come on, we’re gonna need to make it to the station before the train leaves!”

                ~*~

Steve bent over, trying to catch his breath. Bucky ran up to the woman behind the counter, asking for tickets.

Steve leaned back against a pole, completely out of breath. Just his luck, having to run and subsequently having an asthma attack.

People streamed towards and past, moving from train to train, men pulling luggage, women pulling luggage and also the occasional child.

There were so many people, some well-dressed, some in worn clothes all too similar to the ones Bucky and especially Steve wore.

So many different body shapes…skin colors…personalities…Steve ached to draw all of the people surrounding him.

                “We’re done for.”

Steve looked up at his blue-eyed friend. “Not enough money?”

Bucky shook his head and sank down beside the blonde. “They don’t have any more tickets,” Bucky rose one knee to his chest and let the other sprawl out before him, “and the next train to Brooklyn doesn’t leave until tomorrow. I tried to explain that we lost our tickets, but they didn’t believe me…thought I was just a beggar trying to get on the train. Looks like we’re not going to be able to get home.”

Steve groaned and buried his face in his knees. “We’re dead.”

Silence spread a cavern between the two teens.

                “Maybe not.”

Steve’s head shot up; he narrowed his eyes at his seventeen-year-old friend. “We lost our tickets, Buck, and the next train doesn’t even leave until-!”

“I’ve got an idea, but you’re gonna have to trust me, alright?”

                “Bucky…”

Bucky held up both hands in mock surrender. “Listen, I told you that you’re gonna have to trust me, alright? Alright, so we’re going to sneak onto the train just as it-“

                “Bucky-!”

“Hey, what other choice do we have? Would you rather sneak onto the train so we can get home, or wait for the train tomorrow, and come home a whole day late and have to try to explain that to your mom?”

Steve bit his lip and looked away.

Neither was ideal…but-“Okay, what’s your plan?”

                ~*~

                The plan worked.

Settled in a soft seat on the train beside his best friend, Steve could almost fall asleep. They’d snuck onto the train just as it was pulling out of the station, and no one was any wiser.

“Hey, we’re pretty close to Brooklyn now.”

Steve nodded. “Good. At least we won’t have to explain anything.”

“Yeah, at least we won’t,“ Bucky nudged Steve’s side, hard, “but Steve, we might wanna move.”

“Why?” Steve mumbled, rubbing at his tired eyes.

                “That’s why.” Bucky whispered, pointing.

Steve followed his friend’s gaze. Police checking each passenger to make sure that they had given the conductor a ticket.

                Uh oh.

                “Buck-“

                “We could try to explain…”

“Explain? Bucky, we’re gonna get arrested-!”

“Okay, okay…so maybe explaining won’t work. I have an idea.”

“I don’t know if I should trust you.”

                “Would you rather get arrested?”

Getting arrested would be a whole lot more explaining for him to do.

Steve huffed. “Fine. What are we going to do?”

“We’re gonna have to jump for it. We’re about to get on a bridge, and we can-“

“Bucky, I’m not so sure about this…but I’d rather not get arrested,” Steve shook his head to clear his mind, “so okay, I’ll go for it. Come on, let’s go.”

Together, they grabbed their few things and made for the caboose. They strolled through several compartments, feigning smiles and making useless small talk so people wouldn’t ask questions.

Bucky opened the back door, and together, they stepped out.

The wind whipped around them, pulling at their clothes and hair, tossing colorful leaves all through the air.

Autumn was beautiful, but Steve was too busy trying to not get arrested to be in awe of it.

“Okay, we’re on the bridge. You jump first, and I’ll be right behind you, alright?”

Steve nodded, stomach heaving, feeling way too queasy.

                “Three…two…one…jump!”

Steve jumped on command even though he felt as if he was going to pass out. There was water below…shallow water. It wasn’t deep enough…it wasn’t deep!

Steve cascaded onto rocks, and surreal, burning, ripping pain traveled through his right arm. Steve cried out in pain, holding onto his right arm that he couldn’t even move without making it hurt so much worse.

“Steve, Steve, Steve! Steve, what happened!?” Bucky yelled, crouched beside him, brown hair awry, blue eyes filled with an overwhelming amount of concern.

                “I…I-I think I broke-it hurts, Buck…I can’t move it.”

“Okay…hold onto these with the arm that doesn’t hurt, and I’ll carry you, alright? You’re gonna be okay, I promise.”

Steve held onto the three small gifts, and he felt himself get lifted into Bucky’s arms.

“Well, we are going to have a lot of explaining to do.”

“At least we didn’t get a-arrested.” Steve replied with a small grin.

Bucky smirked. “We’ve narrowly escaped prison once more!”

Steve laughed even though it hurt like blazes, and Bucky joined him.

Bucky chuckled. “Okay, but seriously, I need to get you to a doctor.”

Steve nodded. “Yeah…I’d rather not live with this pain that you brought on.”

                “Hey!”

                ~*~

“I don’t know what would possess you to do something so reckless!”

“Mom, I’m okay, aren’t I? I’ll just have to live with a cast for a while, but I’m okay, Mom, really…” Steve whispered, laying a hand on his mother’s pale, strong arm.

Sarah sighed and laid a soft hand on his cheek. “I know, I was just so worried about you for a while…the doctors weren’t sure if they really could fix your arm, and well, I just don’t want you to do anything that dangerous…I already lost your father, and I wouldn’t be able to take it if I lost you. You’re my world, Steve, do you know that?”

Steve smiled gently and touched his forehead to his mother’s. “Yeah Mom, I know. You tell me all the time.”

“And don’t you forget it, mister.”

Steve chuckled; he shook his head. “I won’t, Mom.”

The door to the hospital room door opened, and a family of six walked in. Steve rose a smile and a hand in greeting. “Hey everyone.”

Sarah turned and smiled brightly. “James, Winifred, children! What a pleasant surprise!”

Winifred Barnes smiled gently. “Sarah, Steve! We came to check on Steve…how are you doing, child?”

“Fine, Mrs. Barnes. I’m feeling better now…kinda wish I didn’t have to wear this cast though.”

“It will help you get better dear,” Sarah laid a gentle hand on his cast, “but all of you, please, do sit down! There are more chairs that everyone could grab to sit in.”

James “Jimmy” Barnes, Bucky’s father, shook his head, smiling gently. “Oh, we weren’t planning on staying long…we just came to check on Steve for a few minutes. The girls wanted to see Steve…and Bucky has something he wants to say to Steve.” James pulled Bucky in front of himself.

Bucky bit his lip, and Steve could detect embarrassment in Bucky’s grayish-blue eyes. Bucky had already apologized, multiple times, even, but his parents hadn’t heard about any of them, evidentially.

“Sorry Steve, I didn’t mean for you to get hurt…”

“It’s okay Bucky, really…I’m safe, and that’s all that matters. Besides,” Steve gave his friend a grin and wink, “it was kinda fun.”

“Oh, you.” Sarah sighed, but a smile still showed on her face.

                Bucky smirked. “It was fun.”

“Why did you two jump out of a train in the first place?” Carolyn asked, crossing her arms.

                Kathleen nodded in agreement. “Yeah!”

                Becca giggled. “You were silly!”

                “Well, that’s a secret we can’t tell anyone…”

Bucky grinned and nodded. “Yeah, Steve’s right. That’s a secret we’ll take to our graves, right Steve?”

Steve nodded at his friend who was always there with him, through thick and thin. “One hundred percent.”

                        I have three more chapters!!!!

Also, I might be sharing some short stories/scenes of these characters at different points in the MCU, and guys *cries* Pietro blips (because I couldn’t imagine him and Wanda not being twins anymore) but Hannah doesn’t and the poor girl is left heartbroken (because Her family, the Barton family, Wanda, and especially Pietro are all blipped) And my girl is all alone (well she still had Steve and Nat, but still…)

And it’s also sad because in this AU Pietro and Hannah are both fighting Thanos in Wakanda, and they have to watch Wanda destroy the mind stone *cries some more*

                        It’s very sad

                        Chapter 7

Hannah couldn’t sleep, she couldn’t even rest her head, or close her eyes. Constant noise would fill her head, the noise of scared civilians and violet robots. It was an odd war, but it had happened, and it had left an impression on her.

People were lost, and she couldn’t help but blame herself. She had been in charge of gathering the civilians and taking them to the ships, and the Avengers had mostly kept the robots off of her. Yet she still felt somewhat responsible, maybe because she should’ve been keeping an eye on Tony and Bruce. Ultron should’ve never been made on her watch, but he had, and he had done numerous amounts of damage.

Because of the restless sleeping, Hanna would find herself wandering around the Avenger tower, walking down each hallway. Finding the most absurd ways of entertainment.

The truth was, Hannah had two sides of herself, a side that was serious and tough, and a side that was soft and quirky. Sometimes it was amazing they were both the same person.

Tonight she had slipped on a large sweater and settled down on one of the couches that faced towards the glass walls, where she could see the city skyline. Every light from the buildings looked like little stars that had fallen, a cozy and relaxing sight for her.

It showed her the beauty in the chaos, the wonders, and the excitement all around her, and it also helped distract her from the guilt and pain.

What added even more to the peaceful situation, was her bowl of ice cream.

Hannah closed her eyes, remembering one memory from Sokovia that wasn’t so bad.

                        ~*~

Hannah had everyone stop, she glanced everywhere, no robots yet. With a deep breath, she motioned everyone forward in a sprint again. Her body shook, she didn’t know how many more trips she would have to make, it felt like every time she thought she had everyone, another crowd would just pop up.

A scream echoed through Hannah’s head, as she turned to see a civillain face to face with the giant droid.

Hannah’s eyes darted around, spotting more and more robots around her. Where was Thor when you needed him?

Hannah prepared herself and then ran in front of the girl, motioning her back. If the droid wanted someone dead, Hannah would make sure it was only her.

But before anything alarming could happen, a blue flash came in, taking down every robot around them.

Hannah turned to look at the man, a tall figure sporting a blue long sleeve, and a boyish grin. Hannah could tell just by his face that he was arrogant, Pietro Maximoff, she had never actually formally meant him.

“You’re doing great,” Pietro gave a flirtatious smile and then sprinted away.

Leaving Hannah in a confused state, could he read the terror on her face? Was it that easy to see that she was absolutely terrified?

                        ~*~

Hannah wouldn’t deny that her first encounter with Pietro wasn’t ideal. Yet it had been the only flashback she didn’t mind.

He was cute, she’d give him that, but he was also arrogant and thought a little too highly of himself, but then he had been willing to give his life, which was far from egotistical.

She sighed, he also had no idea she worked for the Avengers, he probably thought she was just a take-it-into-her-own-hands-civilian.  And she had never actually meant him after that, since he was in recovery and then taken to the Bartons’ farm.

She had meant Wanda a little, but she didn’t know her very well either.

Their folder could only tell her so much, including all the crimes they had committed, which was of some interest to her, but she knew better than to judge a person just based on their past.

So she would just have to settle for the wait-and-see approach. Which would be a test of her patience.

                        Chapter 8

Laura smiled as she looked out the window, Cooper and Lila were running around the yard with Pietro, while Wanda practiced her powers on a few of the hale bales.

She had been adamant that she got control of her powers, and so far she had made huge improvements. Still, Laura feared that her main reason was fear, which was never an adequate reason to do anything.

It had been a couple of weeks since the twins had moved in, and they had begun to fit right in, which had always been the hope. Pietro had been recovering well and he had gotten back to running. Probably a little too soon for her or Wanda’s liking but so far nothing had been injured.

“Okay, so new idea what if we redo the attic and make it into another room?” Clint asked, walking into the kitchen.

Laura turned to her husband and gave a skeptical look. “You need to stop looking for projects,”

“I need something to keep me busy,”

Laura gave a sympathetic smile. “I know you’re so bored when you’re not risking your life,”

Clint scowled and then gave a smile. “I’ll have Cooper and Pietro help me, it will probably only be a week project tops,”

“Don’t forget that Vision and Hannah are coming,”

“Oh right,” Clint nodded and then smirked. “Well, Hannah probably knows more about home improvement than Pietro,”

Laura gave a faint smile. “He probably never had anybody to teach him,”

Clint shared a saddened glance with Laura, the reality of that sinking in.

Clint could partly relate to the twins, he’d never really had a family or somewhere to call home, he had the circus, but it was far from nice.

“Then I guess I’ll teach him,”

Laura kissed Clint ever so lightly on the cheek, resting her head on his shoulder.

Clint smiled warmly, wrapping an arm around Laura. Silence filled the room.

“I’m sure Wanda will be happy to see Vision,” Laura stated.

Clint quickly turned his head to look at Laura. “What do you mean?”

“I mean them, they’re…” Laura looked at her clueless husband, how come he could never pick up on these things?

                        “You haven’t even meant him,”

“Yeah… but they talked when they were at the compound, and every now and then she mentions him, and from everything you’ve told me about him I think they’d be perfect,”

Clint shook his head. “If you’re right, I am not responsible for what Pietro may do to Vision.”

“Nah, Pietro will be too distracted,”

Clint gave another look of shock at his wife. “You think Hannah and…?” Clint couldn’t even finish the sentence.

“Pietro is stubborn and annoying in an almost good way, who does that remind you of,”

“Hannah,” Clint answered with no hesitation.

“See, I have intuition about these things,”

“You can’t just use that word for a reason for everything,”

“Oh but I can,” Laura smirked triumphantly.

Laura and Clint locked eyes and then shared a passionate kiss. Clint loved his wife and Laura loved her husband and she couldn’t be more thankful that he was still alive and with her.

                        ~*~

Pietro stood proudly as Cooper placed another stick on the fort they had built. It had turned out nice, for a tiny fort built around a tree.

Pietro and Wanda had spent most of their time doing random activities with Cooper and Lila. who was very much enjoying having new people in the house.

Pietro had also made Cooper promise not to tell anyone about him falling out of the tree house. He didn’t want people to know he fell out of it, because that would lead to them asking how he fell out of the tree house.

And the only person who knew he had nightmares, was Wanda. She hadn’t been one for nightmares but instead deep emotions that could very easily ignite her powers.

“I think it’s done,” Cooper stated a hint of pride in his tone.

                        “I agree,”

Pietro was a little too old to build forts with Cooper or to color every morning with Lila, yet he never had the heart to say no, or really even the want to say no.

Pietro had enjoyed his time with the Bartons, being around a close-knit family was new and nice, but he and Wanda were only guests and nothing more.

                        Chapter 9

Hannah wasn’t sure about any of this, she didn’t want to impose on the Bartons. Especially with Laura pregnant (even though she had been the one to invite them) and Pietro going through his recovery there. She had even called Clint to make sure it was okay, which was when he had been very clear that Laura would be more mad if the two didn’t come.

So here Hannah was, walking down the Quinjet ramp. She couldn’t deny that she was curious to finally meet Pietro and Wanda.

“Hannah!” Lila shouted, imminently rushing to her side.

Hannah didn’t waste any time lifting Lila up into her arms and smiled at her. “Have you gotten bigger?!”

                        Lila giggled and nodded.

Hannah turned to see Clint and Laura come out the house door, Cooper, and Wanda, trailing behind them.

“Clint, did you let her get bigger?” Hannah asked, setting Lila down, and grabbing her hand.

“I didn’t have anything to do with it,”

Hannah shook her head. “But she used to be so small, and now she’s practically sixteen!”

Lila giggled even harder. “I’m only six,”

“No way!” Hannah pretended to be shocked.

Wanda didn’t waste any time before greeting Vision, giving a heartfelt smile as she did so.

Laura walked over to Hannah, smiling. “I’m so glad you could come,”

Hannah beamed as she looked at Laura. “How’s Nathaniel?”

Laura rested a hand on her stomach and laughed. “He kicks, a lot,”

“Well, he’ll be a great agent then,” Hannah smirked. “So uh, when will baby Hannah come around?”

Laura grinned. “I’m going to have enough on my hands when this guy comes,”

Hannah let out a small laugh and then looked around until her eyes locked on Pietro, who came through the house door.

Pietro gave a look of dismay, dashing over to stop only a few feet away from Hannah. “You’re put-yourself-in-front-of-a-deadly-robot-girl, pretty insane of you,”

Hannah looked at Pietro, giving a half smile. “Maybe, and how’s the physical therapy going? You know for your bullet wounds,”

“Touche,” Pietro hadn’t expected for her to make such a quick comeback. “Well, would it help if I said you’re even prettier than I expected Hannah to be?”

Hannah started to blush but she shook the compliment away. Something told her that Pietro flirted with almost every girl he saw. “Well thanks, and uh… you don’t look that bad yourself,”

Clint held in a laugh, he hadn’t expected this much snarkiness to start between them.

“Thank you again, for having me and Vis over,”

                        “Vis?” Clint raised an eyebrow.

“What it’s a nickname?!” Hannah gave a clever smile to Clint.

“I like it, but it isn’t as nice a name as Hannah,” Pietro stated.

Hannah had to admit, it was hard not to swoon at his every line, but she had to keep reminding herself that he had probably used these lines thousands of times.

“Well the name Pietro is nice too,” Hannah said faintly, she then turned to Clint. “So what can I do?”

                        “What do you mean?”

“I mean, I didn’t come here for a get-a-way retreat, put me to work,”

Clint chuckled. “Well, I’m going to start working on turning the attic into another room,”

                        “Perfect, I’d love to help,”

                                Aww thanks, guys

I’m kind of struggling to write Pietro and Hannah because it’s not like we’ve seen Pietro in a relationship so I don’t have much to go on

also, I realized very quickly into writing flirting that I’m pretty terrible at it XD
