      @freedomwriter76 You’re welcome!

      @smiley
tbh I can see why, when I properly met him and he wasn’t being seizure-y zippy like he was in the cell at in the end of Winter Soldier he was actually a stunning character.

Doesn’t mean I have a crush on him. I had that for a character once when I was thirteen.

      ONCE.

Where'd I get ya this time? The liver? The kidney? I'm runnin' outta places to put holes in ya.

            Sooo…I wrote this scene for the 5th fanfic…and I love it, y’all…so much 💕💕

Bucky got me tho 😭 (but when does he not?? the broken boi makes me cry a lot XXD)

Madelene loaded another load of clothes into the dryer, fighting back tears.

Mason and Branson were being almost impossible to deal with, Charlotte was in a whiny, tantrum-throwing mood, and Grace was sick with an earache and crying almost constantly…and Madelene was dealing with the affects of pregnancy.

The house was a mess and she barely had time to even think.

The echoes of the argument she and Bucky exchanged only the night before rang in her head.

She had said harsh words too…but his had hurt so much worse.

She could apologize…say it was all her fault…but no, that wasn’t how arguments between couples was supposed to be solved.

They were both to blame, weren’t they?

            Madelene’s phone rang.

She pulled out her phone and answered. “Hello?”

“Hi, Madelene…it’s Peggy. How is Grace doing? I remember hearing that she was sick, is she doing alright?”

            “She’s crying, but she…she’s okay.”

“How are the other kids doing?”

            “…Fine.”

“You don’t sound so sure, Madelene…let me guess, today is rough…I know how it is, Madelene…I’ve been through some hard days too…today is one of those, isn’t it?”

At the sound of her friend’s soft voice…her sweet concern…Madelene came undone, sobbing over the phone.

“Oh, Madelene…everybody has hard days. Do you need me to come over? I’d love to help you with anything you need done…even if I can just watch the kids so you can go out for a walk, I’ll do it…you’ll be okay, I promise…this is only a season, it will get better, I promise.”

“It-it’s not just the kids…oh Peggy…it’s not just them…it’s so much more.” Madelene sobbed.

She hadn’t told anyone about the stress…all of the conflict…between her and Bucky.

“Oh, Madelene…it’s not your marriage, is it?”

“It is.” Madelene said, and she let out a deep, heartbreaking sob.

“Madelene…I will be on my way, give me ten minutes and I promise, I will be there,” Peggy’s voice rose as she spoke to someone else, “Ryo, can you watch your brother and sister for a few hours!? Thank you, yes, there are leftovers in the fridge,” Peggy’s voice quieted again, “and Madelene…I will be there soon, I promise…”

“Thank you…” Madelene whispered, the two words being the only words she could muster any longer.

She hung up and set her phone on the floor, tears still coursing down her cheeks.

She often felt lonely…stressed…but she wasn’t alone.

            ~*~

Bucky made a hard lunge at the punching bag.

Sweating, he wiped the back of his gloved metal hand against his forehead.

The words he’d spoken…he regretted them…but Madelene’s words had hurt too.

Besides, he didn’t know how to apologize.

Bucky made another hard punch, but the bag only went half as far. Bucky raised an eyebrow, just as someone poked their head out from the side of the bag, holding it still. “Hey Buck.”

“What are you doing here, Steve?”

“For one, it’s Saturday, so I’m not working. For two, Peggy told me about something, and I thought I’d come check on you, and for three, what’s with the attitude?”

Bucky shrugged and hit the bag again. “Let me guess, Madelene told Peggy?”

“Madelene hasn’t told Peggy much of anything. Why, did something happen?”

“Nothing I’d bother telling you about.”

Steve raised an eyebrow. “Yeah? So, what happened?”

“It was just an argument, alright? Not like you’d understand.”

Steve pressed his lips together and raised an eyebrow.

            Bucky rolled his eyes.

            Steve didn’t understand.

Bucky and Madelene loved each other…so did Steve and Peggy…but Steve didn’t understand how stressful it really was, being married and having kids to care for.

“What do I not understand, Buck?”

“Eh, not important,” Bucky made another punch, “you obviously can’t figure it out yourself.”

“You and Madelene had a really fierce argument, didn’t you?”

Bucky laughed. “Like it’s any of your business.”

“I’m your best friend, and I also care deeply about Madelene, her being another friend of mine…so yes, it is my business. It’s not like I’m asking you to tell me everything.”

            “Leave me alone.”

“You’re obviously hurting, Buck…that’s why you’re here, trying to distract yourself. Take it from someone who knows, Bucky…distracting yourself doesn’t work. It actually makes everything way worse.”

Bucky scoffed and rolled his eyes, making another punch.

“And I’m not leaving until you tell me.”

            “Go away.”

            “Not happening.”

Bucky made an extra hard punch, and Steve staggered back a little. “Leave me alone, now, Steve.”

“I just want to help you, Buck. Can you at least tell me why you’re here at-“

            “Shut. Up.” Bucky snarled.

It was his problem to bear…his regret to carry.

            “Bucky…what is it that I don’t-?”

“You have a perfect house, great kids, and a wife that apparently can keep everything and everyone under control.”

            “Bucky, you know that isn’t-“

“Your life may be great, Steve…but it’s fake, and you’re fake with it.”

Steve stepped closer to him. “Buck…”

“Everything about your life is fake, Steve…all picture perfect…fake…especially your family.”

            “That’s it.” Steve muttered.

He grabbed Bucky’s right arm, and even though Bucky wanted to fight it, he had no choice but to follow Steve. “I didn’t grab my bag, you know.”

“You can come back for it.” Steve replied, practically dragging Bucky outside.

“What, do you want a public audience?”

Steve released his grip, but his glare didn’t fade. “You should be glad I’m not the kind of man to throw punches, especially at you. You can insult me and call me fake as much as you want, Buck…but don’t even try to say the same about my family.”

            “Your life-“

“My life is not perfect, Bucky…my kids still act out, me and Peggy still fight…but we work through it. We don’t let the past stop us, and we don’t let conflict pull us apart. We’re a family and we always will be, so we learn how to work through whatever gets thrown our way.”

Bucky walked a bit further away. “…I don’t want to talk about this-“

“You’re the one who first called my life “fake”, Bucky. What was so bad that you’re acting like…this?”

            Bucky’s fists clenched and unclenched.

“Bucky…please, trust me…you know I’ll never hurt you.”

Bucky fought back tears…but he had to talk.

He just…he couldn’t hold it in any longer.

“Me and Madelene have been stressed…and we had an argument last night.”

Steve nodded. “That’s what I guessed, from what Peggy told me.”

“…She doesn’t know the half of it.”

“Bucky,” Steve laid a hand on Bucky’s shoulder, “come on, you can tell me.”

Bucky clenched his fists; he turned his face so Steve wouldn’t see the tears that coursed down his cheeks against his own will. “I made Madelene cry, Steve…I hurt her.”

            “Did you apologize?”

            Bucky shook his head. “I haven’t figured out the right words…but I hurt her, Steve…I know I did…what I said to her…it hurt her. I hurt her…”

Steve squeezed his shoulder. “Bucky, you don’t have to have the perfect words…you just have to speak from-“

            “I hurt her, Steve…something I had vowed to never do…yet I hurt her…even though I thought I wouldn’t.”

“Everyone makes mistakes, Buck…and plenty of them.”

“I didn’t think I’d hurt her, Steve,” Bucky pulled away from his friend’s touch; he faced Steve with a small smile, tears blurring his vision, “but that was my mistake…thinking I could be more than the monster Hydra made me.”

            Silence settled.

Bucky turned away. “…I’m sorry. I didn’t mean for that to come out.”

“…Is that why you got so upset when Sam gave up the shield?”

Bucky wiped away tears and faced Steve again. “What?”

“Did you think it affected who you were, Buck?”

Bucky bit his lip and fought back tears.

Sam had finally picked back up the mantel…but it had taken so much for him to get there.

“When he gave it up…I thought…I thought that meant he was giving up what you had given him…your legacy, everything you stood for…and I-I…I thought that meant you were wrong about him…and if you were wrong about him…then that meant that you were wrong about…me.”

Tears burned Bucky’s eyes yet cooled his cheeks.

Steve gripped his left shoulder and lifted Bucky’s chin, making their matching blue eyes meet. “Bucky…I’ve never been wrong about you. You don’t believe what I know…you were never the monster Hydra tried to create.”

            Bucky stared at Steve.

Steve smiled and slowly shook his head. “…You were never a monster.”

Bucky sobbed, and he felt his best friend’s arms wrap around him, holding him close.

            “It’s going to be okay, Buck…it will be, I promise…this is only a season…only a season…and you’re never alone, Bucky…never.”

I love how all your couples are pretty realistic! I might have thought Steve and Peggy had a fake life if I were Bucky too! 😂

                      @freedomwriter76 and I’ve already written the first chapter XD @euodia-vision @keilah-h @godlyfantasy12 @mineralizedwritings @lightoverdarkness6

                      Prologue

“I got an eye on the target,” Yelena communicated, aiming her sniper rifle.

She didn’t truly know what she was doing, she just knew this was her mission. And she truthfully wanted to do it.

She wanted to do this job, it was all her mind knew, violence.

                      “On the count of three,”

                      One, two, three!

A loud bang went off, and Yelena looked around. Proud of herself, she had been ranking up in the red room, and she hoped to prove herself.

She never gave what she did a second thought, she just moved on.

                      Chapter 1

“And then the arrow exploded, taking them all out! By far the coolest Hawkeye moment ever,” Kate said leaning back in her seat, like that fight had been easy.

Yelena just stirred her spoon in her cup, staring off into the distance.

                      “Yelena, did you hear me?”

“I’m sorry what?” Yelena looked around the table, brushing her blond hair behind her ear.

Yelena hadn’t been daydreaming, instead, she was having nightmares, flashbacks to her past life, to the things she had done. She usually tried not to think about it, but sometimes it just happens.

“You completely zoned out,” Bucky stated.

“Sorry, I’m just tired…” Yelena lied, she didn’t like to open up to anyone.

Kate and Bucky both raised an eyebrow. Yelena never got tired, she could usually do several missions in a row, and never even show a hint of weariness.

                      “What?! I am,” Yelena protested.

“Okay,” Kate shrugged, taking a sip of her coffee. Her face made a bitter expression. “I forgot to add sugar,”

Yelena let out a soft chuckle, Kate was so young compared to her and Bucky, and she was usually the one to lighten the mood.

“That sounds like you,” Yelena cradled her mug, the heat almost burning her hands, but she didn’t mind it. She was cold anyways. “I however made a perfect coffee,”

Kate scowled, mixing creme and sugar into her mug.

“I like black coffee,” Bucky said, smirking.

Yelena lowered her mug from her lips to speak. “You would,”

“How’s Sam?” Kate asked, finally finding the courage to taste her coffee again.

“Decent, but we can only work together for so long without killing each other,”

“Me and Yelena don’t have that problem,”

“Yes, we do… you just don’t know it,” Yelena grinned. “I hide it well, unlike you and your disgust for coffee,”

“It needs more sugar,” Kate stated, putting two more spoons of sugar in her mug.

“I don’t think it’s anything but sugar,” Bucky joked.

“I just want the caffeine, not the flavor,”

“You do know how a coffee shop works right?” Yelena teased.

                      “Well, maybe I’m just tired,”

                      “I think we’re all tired,”

“You’re right, soon I won’t be able to hide my annoyance of Kate Bishop,”

“Why don’t you just call me Kate, I don’t need the last name,” Kate crossed her arms.

“You just don’t like sharing the same name as your mom,”

Kate’s Mom had been rich, her name meaning something in New York, but only a year ago her Mom had been arrested, for a few different terrible crimes. Kate had hardly been able to get the news off her back, and her mother was still making excuses for what had happened.

“I totally agree with you, James Barnes,” Yelena smiled, as she looked at Bucky.

Sarcasm was her thing, and she usually spent her time making sly remarks.

“She told me she was just trying to raise me in a good life,” Kate said.

“Define good, I lived with my family, in a small house, having only two pairs of shoes, yet I had a great life, up until I learned the whole thing was a sham.”

“I had a decent life, with my three siblings and parents, and I grew up in the great depression,”

“Yes we get it, you’re walking history,” Kate rolled her eyes at Bucky.

“Are we done yet? I can only roll my eyes for so long,” Yelena was actually tired, not from the mission, but instead of her latest flashback.

Nobody could truly understand what it was like, to have a desire to hurt others, to smile while eliminating someone. The pure evil she had been, the things she had justified.

She was a widow, an assassin, and no matter what she did, nothing could get rid of that.

So…y’all…I think the 5th fanfic series may be longer…XXD

                                Because y’all know what???

I have the kids older 😍

Sooo, first off, we have Steve/Peggy’s: (other than Ryo…still have to get him figured out…but he’s a lot older, y’all…a lot older…in his 30s, even XXD)

Anthony Loki Rogers, 23 years old

The oldest of Steve and Peggy’s twins, Anthony has come a long way from the 7-year-old, playful, energetic little boy that he is in the 5th fanfiction.

Having a personality much like his father’s, Anthony is stubborn, brave, courageous, protective, and will do anything and everything he possibly can to protect the people he loves most.

Having inherited his father’s super-soldier serum, Anthony is extremely strong, and being taught by his father, Bucky, and Sam, he knows how to fight well.

                                  Next!!!

                                  Natalie Alexandria Rogers

                                  23 years older

Anthony’s slightly younger twin sister, Natalie is technically the youngest in the Rogers family, and as such, both of her older brothers, Ryo and Anthony, have seen it as their duty to keep her safe.

Sweet, compassionate, yet fierce, Natalie tries to see the good in people and hates killing, but she also isn’t afraid to fight when she has to.

Having also inherited some of her father’s serum, Natalie is also slightly enhanced with super-strength, but she didn’t gain anywhere near as much of the serum as her twin did.
