C H A P T E R 1
His head throbbed.
He drifted in between delirium and reality.
He heard different voices. Some young…some older.
Some with accents, some without.
He heard different sounds…but he didn’t know if they were real.
November awoke with a start, sweat perspiring from his forehead, breath heavy. The bed he laid on was comfortable…he almost felt like he could sink into it.
He looked around the room.
It looked nothing like any other room he’d ever seen…there were weird things around…he had no clue where he was.
‘Where am I!?’
‘Where’s Ara…Grimm…Lyn…Nyx…Snow…Luna?’
Oh, he was alone.
Very alone.
And he didn’t even know where he was.
November quickly sat up.
Wherever he was, he needed to get out.
He needed to find his friends.
He had to make sure they were okay.
He shifted to get out of bed.
“Hang on, wait! Careful…you’re injured.”
November jumped at the sudden voice. He turned to see a man walking in. He wore a long white coat and was putting glasses on the collar of his coat. He smiled gently. “You’re okay…don’t be scared…we found you outside…you have a broken arm.”
November blinked several times, then looked at his left arm, which was wrapped with several white bandages.
“Where…where am I?”
The man smiled gently. “You’re at Avengers compound. I’m Bruce Banner…we took you inside as soon as we realized you were injured. You also seem…lost.”
“I…I don’t know where this is…where is this…where are my friends?”
Bruce raised an eyebrow. “Friends? We…we found you alone.”
He was alone?
Then…then where were the others?
He was…he was alone in this place?
“…Alone?”
“I’m sorry…we didn’t know you had other people with you. Where are you from?”
“A-A’Grend.”
Bruce’s eyebrows furrowed together. He bit his lip. “I’m not so sure I know where that is…”
“Hey, Bruce, how is it-oh, hi there. You’re awake.”
November turned and saw someone else entering the white-walled room. He wore some kind of weird red and yellow armor. November shrank back.
‘Coward! No wonder no one trusts you to protect the others! Stupid, stupid, stupid,’ he chided himself.
“I’m Tony. Tony Stark. And you are…?”
“No…”
“No?”
November shook his head, face flushing red. He tugged at one of his loose ginger curls.
“November…November Elrond.”
“Nice to meet you, kid.”
The man offered his hand.
Slowly, November took it and shook it.
“Tony…he mentioned that he had friends.”
Tony raised an eyebrow. “Really? Were they with you?”
“Last I remembered…” November whispered.
Bruce grabbed a clipboard. “Could you describe what they look like?”
November slowly nodded. “Yeah…so first, there’s Jocelyn and Nyx…”
(soooo…he’s a little bit more hesitant to talk about Ara bc he knows he’ll blush, poor boi XXD)
