Aged only 8, Everly is a sweet little girl.
Life has never been easy for this sweet child, though.
She doesn’t remember her mother or father, who both died when she was an infant…and she has only known a life of being an orphan…and a life of pain.
Taken in by a woman who works for FROST, an evil Organization similar to Hydra, Everly has still never had a family.
Rather, she has been trained…
to be a soldier.
No one is kind, and Everly sees other little kids who have everything she doesn’t have but needs…and one night…she decides to escape.
She wouldn’t have made it…if Agent Maria Hill hadn’t found her and rescued her life.
She’s still scared that FROST is after her, and indeed they are…and Everly has a lot of trauma to work through.
Thankfully, Everly is placed into safe hands…and she finally finds the love she has always craved.

Glass shattered.
Natasha instantly dropped her hairbrush and rushed out of the room, down the stairs, and into the living room.
A picture frame laid on the floor, the glass shattered and scattered all across the floor. “Everly, what happened!?”
“I…I didn’t mean it…I didn’t mean to break it…I was running around with Molly…and…and…”
Everly clutched her doll tighter…and her breath heaved.
“Everly…it’s okay…”
Natasha stepped closer to the young child.
Everly stepped away.
“No, Everly, careful! I don’t want you to get cut.”
“I…I…I-I didn’t mean it…I’m sorry…”
“Everly, it’s okay…as long as you’re safe, it’s okay…it’s okay. Here, let me pick you up so I can move you…did you get any glass on you?”
Everly stepped away again, her bright blue eyes full of fear. “I-I-I’m sorry….I didn’t mean it…I-I’m sorry…don’t punish me…”
“Everly…”
“Don’t punish me…I’m sorry…” Everly wept, and her legs began to sway, her body preparing to go into fetal position.
Natasha grabbed her before she would sit down in the glass, scooping Everly into her arms.
Everly shrieked. “I didn’t mean it…I’m sorry! I’m sorry, I won’t do it again! Let me go…please…please!” Everly begged, struggling in Natasha’s arms.
Natasha held her gently. “Everly…Everly…please…stop.”
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry! Don’t hurt me!”
Natasha’s grip began to slip. She held onto Everly tighter.
Everly screamed.
“What’s wrong? Why is Everly screaming? Why is there glass…?”
“Please, see if you can calm her down.” Natasha cried.
Bucky rushed over and pulled Everly into his embrace.
His muscular arms wrapped tight around her, and he used one of his hands to gently guide her head onto his shoulder. “Shh…shh…you’re okay…you’re safe…”
Bucky slowly sat down on the floor, Everly still in his arms. He cradled Everly in his lap, and Natasha walked over to sit with them.
Bucky’s other arm wrapped around her, and Natasha leaned back against her husband’s chest. She gently brushed blonde curls out of Everly’s eyes. “See…you’re safe, Everly…it’s okay…”
Everly sniffed, tapping her fingers against Bucky’s metal palm, something she did when overwhelmed.
Natasha gently laid her hands on Everly’s rosy cheeks. “We’ll never hurt you…I promise.”
“The mean people…they hurt me…”
“I know, but we don’t do that…”
“You know mean people?”
Natasha slowly nodded, removing her hands from Everly’s cheeks. “Yes, Everly…me and Bucky both do. People used us as soldiers too…but you’re safe now, I promise.”
Everly looked up at Bucky. “Mean people hurt you, Bucky?”
“Yeah, Evy…but you know what? None of that bothers me too much anymore…you know why?”
Everly yawned and leaned her head against Bucky’s metal arm, her small fingers interlocking with his. “Why?”
Bucky’s arms wrapped tighter around them both. “Because I’ve got you and Nat…my favorite girls in the whole wide world.”
Natasha laid her head on Bucky’s shoulder, gently laying one hand on Everly’s head, stroking her hair as she began to drift off to sleep.
She understood now why Fury had chosen her and Bucky to take Everly in…and now, Natasha no longer felt any anger at him for making them take on such a mission.
Everly was theirs…and always would be.
Maybe F.R.O.S.T. would come for Everly…but they wouldn’t succeed.
This was their family…and both Natasha and Bucky would fight for it…no matter the cost.

I think in my 5-fanfic series, Steve will actually bring Peggy to the future, because he is more willing to help Peggy adjust to the 21st century than take Ryo away from literally everything he’s ever known.

Thx. Yeah…I just felt like Steve wouldn’t have the heart to tear Ryo away from the only life and people he’s ever known, y’know? I mean…that could be really damaging to Ryo’s mental health, being a kid and all.
