Does anyone here like warrior cats??
cause I have an expansive list of virtually every warrior cat name I have ever come up with…
They’re characters derived from tons of other fandoms, but run through the naming system of the Warriors books. Star Wars, Marvel, Keeper of the Lost Cities, Tron, Jurassic World, you name it. Various random video games, too. (I don’t even use KOTLC characters in my warriors fanfics anymore.)
if anyone wants to see it:

"When in doubt, eat cheese crackers."-me to my charries who don't even know about cheese crackers
December 17, 2024 at 4:07 pm #192255@rae I recently remembered giving @theshadow this challenge regarding my fanfic a while back ago and wanted to know if you wanted to do it too.
As of right now, the tale’s unfinished–and I don’t just mean mine. The comic series I mentioned I pulled the story from (again, I don’t suggest actually reading them, cause there’s a couple adult jokes in there I refrained from including in my own work and didn’t let my tween brother read when I showed the comics to him, and like even though we’re all teens/adults here I’m sure y’all aren’t gonna be a fan of that either), it’s missing its final installment, due to the fact that the writers/artists I guess took a break from writing/drawing or something, and they are only just considering finishing it. Several characters’ arcs aren’t concluded.
And I know, I know, I could just make an ending up instead of leaving it open like my inspiration did. But I kinda want to see what everyone else thinks of how the story’s gonna go.
So the challenge:
When reading through my fanfiction, search for any plot threads that appear to be left hanging at the end of what I currently have (and if you accept, I’ll provide a little extra information that I, as the writer, know but my characters don’t), and give me your ideas on how you think it’s going to end. This could be just plotting ideas, or it could be an actual scene or two from any character’s perspective.
If it turns out they do in fact finish the official series and I don’t like their ending, I’ll make up an ending myself, and I wanted you guys to be a part of that, since it was because of my friends’ support and enjoyment of the bits of scenes I read them, that I started actually writing this story in the first place.
so yeah I’m sure that’s not gonna work for you but I wanted to put it out there.
also anyone else is welcome to do this if they want haha

December 27, 2024 at 9:21 pm #193037@mineralizedwritings @keilah-h @rae @euodia-vision @freed_and_redeemed
Hello, I’m back!!! Yall it’s been a while and I don’t know I guess I missed it again and I had a new fanfic idea and I was just ready to say hi again
To be honest, KP can easily become an idle to me but I also enjoy having rambles with you guys so I’m gonna try to keep this under control while also being on here a little bit more
So if anyone wants to catch me up on anything feel free to but also please understand if I don’t always respond right away
Anyways onto my fanfiction idea
… and it’s a marvel one
… and it’s about Bucky and Steve
… and yall will probably think I’m crazy
But for the longest time, I’ve wanted to make like OCs for both of them so I decided to do the sort of opposite attract but not really test where I took their personalities and partly reversed them while keeping some other points and to make a long story short I ended up creating two characters I LOVE
And also this is sort of an AU so it takes place between Civil War and Age of Ultron and Yelena is already here and Pietro lives!!! Also, I’m changing his and Wanda’s story a little bit, so for one they got their powers from the stone but like the infinity stones are nearly as powerful in this and Vision was never made causeeeee i don’t know, i feel like it’s not possible to make a human plus he kind of comes off weird in age of Ultron like when he explains who he is
“I wasn’t created by Stark or Ultorn I am… I am” which as a Christian I know is a nod to the Old Testament when God tells Moses to tell the Israelites “I Am sent you”
I don’t know I guess for right now I feel like I want to make the Marvel Universe less… spiritual in a way
Truthfully when I went on my Wanda phase in a few small ways I began to grow more curious about witches and stuff and NO I DID NOT DO ANYTHING BUT I STILL
I don’t want to fall into that cause while I was away I found joy and peace in God like I’ve never had before
So anyways here’s the charries (Also yall Steve and Bucky are like becoming two of my favs, but Wanda and Pietro are still top tier,)
PS Yelena and Pietro might be a ship in this (:
Here’s the first charrie!!!
Kennedy Hope Kline
Age 30
Dark blue eyes, blondish brown hair, and tanned skin
She lives in Brooklyn, and her father was the director of training at SHIELD. He was one of the first to blow the whistle on Hydra after a tragic accident involving his son and Kennedy’s brother.
Now after Hydra has been taken down her father is being pressed with false charges of murder that could lead to life imprisonment
She has become a public speak trying to make her story known and what’s happening with her father but when she gets a visit from Nat and Steve she finds out that the winter soldier could truly be responsible for these crimes
Now she’s working alongside Steve as they try to track down Bucky
But they’re not the only ones looking for the winter soldier, Jayla a girl who has been wounded by the red room seeks revenge against the Avengers and will stop at nothing, and that includes finding the winter soldier
Kennedy’s personality
Generous, attentive, and realistic, Kennedy believed in doing the right thing but would usually disagree with people on what that is; she is loyal to her family and loves her country but doesn’t trust the government. She’s independent, a do-gooder, and she’s stubborn, due to her father’s wrongful conviction she’s more willing to trust a criminal than anyone in the government
Grace Annie Stark
Age 29
Okay so… I’m guessing you already know where this story is going
Grace is a shield agent and the sister of the one and only Tony Stark, although their relationship is shaky at best for several reasons, in the end, though she does love her brother and even comes for family dinner and she is happy he’s found a girl like Pepper Potts
Grace ends up working for Nick Fury now that Shield is gone and she gets put on the search team for Bucky and is the first to find him and she finds herself in love with him but a dark secret (I’m sure you can’t figure out what it is lol) may threaten it
Her personality is
Loving, unshrinking, honest, headstrong, stronger than she thinks she is, and has a strong moral compass, abrasive, and forthcoming
And anyway there’s a lot more to this fanfic but those are the only new OCs (except Jayla but she’s still a work in progress) and I’m sure yall have doubts that these girls are the right fit for these two but just give me a chance or don’t lol you do you
And I have been working on a original series that’s really cool but again I just like to keep writing fun and so I’m not putting a ton of pressure on myself with a ton of word counts and stuff (though I wouldn’t complain about a snowball or two)
I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.”
Isaiah 43:1December 27, 2024 at 10:15 pm #193038Hey girl good to see you back!
“I wasn’t created by Stark or Ultorn I am… I am” which as a Christian I know is a nod to the Old Testament when God tells Moses to tell the Israelites “I Am sent you”
if he actually says that then that’s kinda offensive lol. I think I might remember him saying ‘I am who I am’ but I can’t remember. Yeesh.
"And so I left this world just as I had entered it. Confused."
December 27, 2024 at 10:20 pm #193039@mineralizedwritings
yeah honestly I don’t know the technical quoteI think what you said sounds more right lol but overall I just thought it was weird and then the conversation he later had with ultron he also gave off the weird god vibes (more than Thor lol)
I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.”
Isaiah 43:1December 27, 2024 at 10:22 pm #193040Oh and thanks! It’s great to see you and I love your pfp
girl I envy your art skills
I wish so bad sometimes that I could draw my OCs but sadly I am incapable
and unwilling to put in the effort that it takes to get there 😅
I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.”
Isaiah 43:1December 28, 2024 at 1:34 pm #193084Yeah I get that. I kinda got the feeling from him that he was portrayed as above human error, and maybe that’s why he comes off that way. I mean we don’t know of any sentient being above error except for God so it might feel weird to us. And I mean he does make a mistake in civil war, but I get what you’re saying. It doesn’t bother me bc it’s basically fantasy at that point, but yeah there are some things that are probably better left un-spiritualized imo.
Aw thanks! I made it last winter I think. Aw man, well it’s never to late to start something new.
XD yeah I get it. According to my parents I’ve been drawing since I was 2, but I know people who started later, and still got really good. I’ve seen some series online of people starting to draw for the first time as an adult and it’s super cool to see the progress they make, but yeah they put a lot of time and intentionality into it. Never too late if you change your mind!
"And so I left this world just as I had entered it. Confused."
December 28, 2024 at 1:44 pm #193086yeah I guess for me I just sometimes struggling with blurring the lines between fantasy and real life in some cases so I’m just kind of staying away from it but that’s like total personal conviction and I have nothing against your opinion or anything
yeah maybe at some point
there’s a few hobbies I want to learn I just actually have to force myself down and do them lolI have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.”
Isaiah 43:1December 28, 2024 at 1:48 pm #193089Yeah it can get pretty messy, it’s one of the reasons I don’t really like fantasy stories with a messiah arc (as a allegory) because I’d rather read the real story in the bible.
XD I get that lol
"And so I left this world just as I had entered it. Confused."
December 28, 2024 at 5:45 pm #193103@smiley I like the idea so far!
December 29, 2024 at 2:01 pm #193138@smiley ooh interesting idea!
you and @freed_and_redeemed are making me feel better about the fact that I use the exact same characters for like 5 different fanfic plots lol
"When in doubt, eat cheese crackers."-me to my charries who don't even know about cheese crackers
January 3, 2025 at 10:53 am #193568@mineralizedwritings @keila-h (yeah I kind of just have my favorites and then it’s hard not to include them in a story lol so you’re good girl) @freed_and_redeemed
Okay yall I have the prologue and first chapter
and I guess you’ll probably notice that it’s kind of different and uhh well yeah here it is
Prologue
“Welcome to freedom!” Jayla stopped walking and glared at the man in front of her. It was a warm summer day with a light breeze—not bad weather for her first time out of prison—yet this man was wearing a long brown coat and black leather gloves. He looked like he had just stepped out of a black-and-white detective show.
“This freedom tastes like dirt,” she said with a grimace. Then, turning on her heels, she began her walk to the nearest bus stop. She had no plan on where she would go or what she would do; all she knew was that her time in prison hadn’t put out any of her desires; if anything, it had only fueled them.
“How would revenge taste?” The man asked with a rich Sokovian accent.
She halted but kept her head turned. “What do you know?”
“How to kill the Avengers? ” There was a pause, and then, with the turn of her neck, he finished: “Including Yelena Belova.”
A grin traveled up her face, and with a lighter sweeter tone she asked, “Name please?”.
“My friends call me Zemo,”
Jayla forced a laugh. “I doubt a man like you has any friends.”
“Fair point,” He gave a light shrug like he couldn’t argue this. “But still the name is Zemo,”
“Alright Zemo, what’s your plan?”
“Patience, and if we’re lucky they’ll start the process for us.”
“I spent a year and a half practicing patience, so you’ll have to do a little better than that.”
“Alright, what about getting involved in a manhunt?” Zemo handed her a small red leather-bound journal. She knew it instantly; after all, she had gone to jail for it.
“How did you get this?”
“Would you believe all it took was a little bit of water?”
~*~
“Luke twelve, verses two through three says, there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.
Lies that have been spoken in the darkness have put my innocent father in jail and I ask that we as, a people serving a government for the people, bring these lies into the light! My father is facing life imprisonment or worse for crimes he never committed and never would, all because he called out lies that made our government money! And I refuse-”
The clip of Kennedy’s speaking got put on mute by Nick Fury and Steve cocked his head from the screen to the Shield director. “Is any of this true?”
The girl on the screen had a thin and tall complexion, long dark blond hair, and a light high voice that suited it, yet she spoke with stern vulnerability that impressed Steve.
With a sigh, Nick took a seat at the long table and looked solemnly at Steve. “I honestly don’t know, but I wouldn’t be shocked in the least.”
Steve didn’t want to admit that he was a little shocked, after all, how could anything like this happen? Politics was a game he hated to play, he always wanted to believe people but there was no way of really knowing anyone in these types of things. If the government really did imprison a man just because he blew the whistle on Hydra years before anyone knew then how could he continue to even fight for it? But it was also hard to believe that this girl had been so public about this just to lie to everyone.
“So why does she matter to us?” Natasha was the first to ask.
“She doesn’t, her father does.” Nick handed Steve and Nat their mission files. “He was high up in shield and we’re pretty certain he still has a ton of files in his office, files that could track down our missing person.”
Bucky.
“And the catch?” Nat was always the first to ask that.
“We also want you to look for evidence against her father.”
“We?” Steve knew exactly who the “we” was, but he wanted to be proven wrong.
“The government is the one giving us the search warrant so we-”
Steve stopped listening and let out a sigh of annoyance. Nick knew how he felt about this kind of stuff, and he probably wouldn’t have told them if he didn’t have to.
“Rogers, we don’t have a choice!” Nick raised his tone and slammed a hand on the desk. This wasn’t the first argument he and Steve had had recently. It had been a tense few weeks at the Avengers compound, and between the recruits and the rising press, it seemed that everyone had a short fuse.
Natasha didn’t flinch, which was sort of concerning but normal for her. “What happened to the FBI?”
Another groan from Nick. “The government believes that you two going will look better since they haven’t had the best wrap recently.”
“Yeah, and I wonder why,” Steve retorted. “I thought Hydra would’ve taught you something about this kind of stuff.”
“Someday you’ll find out you can’t always have clean hands, Rogers.” Nick stood up and looked both of them dead in the eye. “If you haven’t noticed I have supplied all the tools for this search party and I think it’s fair to say I call the shots.”
Steve and Nat shared a look but didn’t argue. They had been hearing this kind of stuff from Nick and Tony, and while they had a point it also felt like power had gone to their head.
Nick closed the office door and Steve felt his muscles tighten when he found Kennedy’s address in the file, she was from Brooklyn.
Chapter 1
Kennedy had always refused to let the “real world” destroy her. Since she was ten it had done everything in its power to crush her spirit but she would never give in. She had told herself that no matter how bad it got there was always hope to be found.
She had believed this when her Mom had died, she had believed this when her brother had died, and she had believed this when New York was attacked.
She didn’t believe it anymore.
Kennedy had just come back from another press conference and the protesters had stood outside her apartment yelling and screaming that she was the daughter of a murderer, granted there were several protesting for her but it made the other screams no easier to hear.
Slamming the door and locking it, she sighed and leaned her head against it. A small whine interrupted the silence and she looked at her golden retriever who was lying on the living room rug.
“Oh, Finn let’s never go out there again.” She told the dog breathlessly. He replied by running over to her and demanding attention, Kennedy gave in and went to her knees to pet him.
Her dad had gotten her the white retriever two years ago and since then he had served as a small comfort in the chaos of politics.
But nothing could comfort the aching in her heart.
“People like your father would be better off dead!” the protesters’ screams echoed through her head like salt in a deep wound.
How could they wish that for her? How could no one in the whole world care about her? She was breaking, piece by piece, and no one saw it.
Speeches, meetings with lawyers, and interviews on podcasts almost every day, it felt like too much when all she wanted to do was curl up on the couch and cry. So many tears not enough time.
Kennedy tilted her head up, gazing past the ceiling, past the night sky, and somewhere far beyond the universe and time. “God, are you still there? Where have you been?”
The faith she had clung to in times of despair was slowly being taken apart, brick by brick, and now even her questions felt in vain. She did not expect an answer from Him, He’d stopped answering her a long time ago, maybe He never had.
Maybe it was for the best, after all, she had no time to pray just like she had no time to cry. Kennedy had one job, and that was to free her father, and if there was anyone who was prepared to do it, it would be her, after all, she used to spend her childhood nights reading history books and political news forums, something (maybe God, maybe not) had been preparing her for this and she would do it to the best of her capabilities.
While her body longed to sleep, Kennedy knew the only free hours to study law books were right now, so she poured herself a cup of coffee and got to work.
~*~
“Protesters,” Natasha stated looking at the angry mob outside the apartment building. A group of all different ages buddled up in warm clothes to protest against a so-called “murder”; Steve wasn’t exactly a believer yet.
“What happened to innocent till proven guilty?” Steve whispered as he and Nat worked their way through the crowd.
“Money happened.” Nat replied bluntly.
He didn’t argue for this.
When they entered the building they were faced with the decision between the stairs and the elevator. Nat turned towards the elevator but Steve had already begun his ascent up the stairs.
“Need a better workout?” she asked, white following.
“No, I’m just not a huge fan of elevators.”
They walked in science for a while until they reached Ms Kline’s floor. “How much do you want to bet she’ll be watching Blue Bloods in her pajamas?”
“I don’t know what to expect.” Steve knocked on the dark wood door.
The door opened to show the same girl from the video. Maybe it was his imagination but she looked like she had just been crying, but her voice was ever so firm as she scowled. “Search warrant?”
“Right here,” Natasha handed the papers to her.
“Then what more can I say?” she was clearly annoyed as she led them in. “I thought the FBI would have more important things to do instead of this.”
Nat was the first to take off the disguise (a simple hat and sunglasses) and Steve followed suit.
Ms. Kline gasped and then what had once been annoyance was now fury. “What happened to saving the world?”
“Who’s to say we aren’t?” Natasha asked with her usual edge.
The girl crossed her arms. “My father hasn’t threatened the world, Ms. Romanoff.”
“We have nothing against your father,” Steve felt for the girl, and looking around the room he couldn’t help but notice all the open books.
So much for “Blue Bloods”.
“With all respect Mr. Rogers I think you do.”
Steve didn’t have anything to say to that.
“We would like to search your Dad’s office.”
With an annoyed sigh, she led the way to the office and with an odd look at Steve, she pushed the door open.
He was taken back by the small office, file cabinets, papers everywhere, and a Captain America collection like no other. There were action figures, playing cards, and even quotes of his written on signs.
“Someone had a fan,” Nat said with a low whistle.
“My dad thought you were the greatest person,” Steve looked at Kennedy, two tears tracing each side of her jaw. “Guess he was wrong about that.” and with that, she left the two of them in the room.
“If I were you I would turn a blind eye to any evidence,” Nat said, flipping through folders.
Steve started on the filing cabinet. “I doubt we’ll find any.”
“How do you choose who you stand up for?”
Her question caught him off guard and he truly didn’t know the answer. “I like those who don’t hide anything.”
“And how do you know the Klines aren’t hiding anything?”
“I don’t,” Steve slammed a drawer closed. “but I know that SHIELD was.”
“Where I come from there’s never just one evil.” the sentence revealed the other Nat, the one that was truly just a girl who was brutally twisted. In the past years, few got to see the real Nat, Clint, Steve, and… Bruce.
Steve didn’t know what had messed her up more, taking down the Red Room or Bruce leaving.
“I hope you’re not there anymore,” He looked her dead in the eye.
“I don’t know anymore,” Nat gestured to the office. “I mean what are we doing here?”
Steve didn’t say anything.
After an hour of checking every nook and cranny, the two found nothing concerning Bucky or the court case. Which both disappointed and relieved Steve.
Kennedy was sitting at the kitchen island when they came out, in front of her was a tall mug of coffee and an open law book. She glanced up when they came in. “Find anything,”
“Nope,” Nat answered.
“Good.”
Steve took a few glances around the room, noticing a few bible verses scattered across the place, either on signs, picture frames, or even sticky notes.
If there was one thing Steve noticed when he came out of the ice it was that Christianity wasn’t as nearly expected nowadays. This wasn’t necessarily a bad thing and it wasn’t like there weren’t Christians, it just meant that your faith could easily be drowned out by the “real world”.
Steve had always thought himself a Christian, but it occurred to him he didn’t take it nearly as seriously as he ought to, he didn’t even recognize half the verses.
“We did notice that you have a deceased brother?”
Kennedy looked down. “Killed in training, he was a shield agent.”
Natasha didn’t say anything more about the subject.
Steve handed Kennedy a piece of paper. “If you need any help with this case, call me. You can trust me.”
She looked up at him, their eyes locking. Her eyes were grey like the color of ash yet they were some of the brightest eyes he had seen in a while. “I don’t know who to trust anymore,”
Five minutes must have passed before she looked away and broke contact.
Once they left the apartment, Nat turned to him with a smile. “Very smooth,”
“I happen to think her father innocent.”
“But she is pretty isn’t she.”

I love how you’re weaving faith into it: it makes the fanfic even more special and beautiful.
(and I may or may not have teared up when she was thinking about her lost faith…it reminded me of Leon and things I felt in 2024 and it was just so special to me🥹<3)
