      “Take the three main characters of a recent story you wrote: which one would you go to brunch with, which one would you rob a bank with, and which one would you pull an elaborate prank on?”

      Hmmm… Okay, I take the story I’m writing with my siblings ’cause it’s currently my favorite.

      Here are three of our six main characters.

      1. Barrett, the main character who is using desperate measures to keep his failing Ice-Cream shop afloat.
      2. Niko, Barrett’s brother who is the one who really runs the ice-cream shop despite being younger, and has a knack for comic book sketching and security systems.
      3. Madilyn whose a bounty hunter with fox painted nails who, with her twin brother, lives on the road and on the run. She’s bright, energetic, athletic, but a bit crazy and very untrustworthy.

      For brunch, I’d probably go with Niko. Out of everyone he’s the most trust worthy so I can keep my hands on my coffee, not on my wallet.

      I’d rob a bank with Madilyn, since she knows most about this whole robbery business and we’d get in and out of there in time for lunch.

      And I’d pull an elaborate prank on Barrett since he deserves it the most. Plus, I think he’d blame it on Niko and not me.

      So what about you?

        @kathleenramm That’s hilarious!

        Well, I couldn’t decide between my current WIP and my last WIP so I decided to do them both.

        My current WIP:

        1. Mere, the POV protagonist and a rather fiery girl who won’t take no for an answer, but in reality is deeply insecure.

        2. Gabe, her brother and a renowned botanist about to embark on a voyage of discovery, likes making new discoveries and obeying the rules.

        3. Roe, the love interest, morally sketching, but with an intense love of astronomy and biology, and he doesn’t really want to be on the pirate ship anyway.

        Out of these three, I’d take Mere to brunch. She deserves it, poor girl. I’d have Roe to help me rob a bank (he’s a pirate after all), and I’d play an elaborate prank on Gabe. He needs to relax after all.

        My last WIP:

        1. Ilio, our main protagonist, a shy boy with ADHD who may or may not be a werewolf.

        2. Sholo, his brother, a red-headed ranger who hunts monsters alongside his enormous wolfhound and possesses an explosive temper.

        3. Skaati, a bubbly, friendly and generally lovely girl who tends to keep the boys in check whenever they get too emo for her liking.

        I would take Ilio out to brunch (but not on the full moon), rob a bank with Sholo (because he knows unsavoury things like that and it wouldn’t surprise me if he’d robbed a bank or two in his time) and I’d play an elaborate prank on Skaati (she’s the only one who would appreciate it and not stab me).

        INFP Queen of the Kingdom commander of an army of origami cranes and a sabre from Babylon.

          @kathleenramm

          Amazing question! For me, I would choose these characters:

          1. Alana, a huntress/reindeer shepherdess who is fond of archery and has a reindeer companion.

          2. Caira, the heroine, fond of studying and reading, has telekinesis and an owl companion.

          3. Newton, a former antagonist now turned scavenger/thief, has a raven for a companion, has photographic memory, goes through a redemption arc, Caira’s love interest

          For brunch, I would take Alana for sure–probably to a casual cafe down the street–because she has delectable dessert/food tastes. However, she loves to chat, so that may be a problem. XD.

          To rob a bank, I would certainly choose Newton. He has photographic memory, so I could trust him with memorizing the inns and outs of the bank, and he has a long history of thieving anyway. He’d slip right in to the robbery business.

          To pull an elaborate prank, I’d have to say Caira. She would totally blame it on/scold her twin brother, so I wouldn’t have to suffer the consequences. XD. I don’t think she’d hold a grudge about it, though.

          Your characters sound so positively interesting, by the way! 🙂

            Oh boy oh boy!!! this is awesome!!!

            Well, three of the MCs from my WIP: (Its a Sci-Fi, and my first ever! I’m super excited about it)

            Ruby/Flame: Flame Mutant who’s scared of bugs and loves looking at horses even though she’s scared of them. She’s super smart and has pinned every recent dragon sighting on her own 3-D map, and is homeschooled. She’s flitty like a chickadee, but extremely quick and shockingly brave, especially when she’s angered. Threaten her friends… here comes the heat XD

            Alden/Polar: Polar Mutant. The smart ‘twin brother’ of Ruby and is good with technology. For example: when he was ten, he built a ‘Shocker’ a shocking device out of a metal lamp pole and the lamp plug-in and some wires, that plugged into the house’s electrical circuit and he and Ruby spent hours dying of laughter when the cat jumped on it and its hair stood on end just before it got knocked right off XD He’s quieter, sarcastic, caring, tough, and brave, but suspicious and tightfisted with his stuff with everyone, sometimes including Ruby.

            Grey/Omega: Lightning mutant, and the third most powerful of the five classes. Suspicious guy with huge muscles, stoic expression and he cares a lot about a girl named Moon, who’s like a little sister to him, but he’s rude and harsh to everyone, even her, at times. He has an unexpected sense of humor, a quick temper depending on who he’s with, and a massive array of weapons; Everything from a normal pistol to a Blaster with enough energy blast to blow a starship to smithereens.

            Right, now for business:

            I’d take Ruby out for brunch; she’s never been to any sort of restaurant and she loves good food and art and a good one-on-one conversation.

            To rob a bank: Grey. Totally. He’s mysterious and sneaky and besides; he can cause power surges and outages in buildings, and fry security systems, shock people unconscious and tasers don’t affect him… well, you get the idea XD he’s also got an amazing array of energy weapons, including a laser that can cut through walls, including metal.

            I’d play an elaborate prank on Alden; he’s mischievous and understands pranksters, and would admire the system it takes to set up said prank. Also; he only fires ice at you when he’s scared, whereas Ruby throws flames and Grey would electrocute you… hmmmm

            I love y’alls characters btw! They sound amazing and funny!

              @kathleenramm *spent hours trying to decide which WIP*

              All right, three out of the four main characters of my current work:

              1. Kenneth Ouyang, the quiet (former?) student teacher (is he a student or a teacher? who knows) known for always wearing a white baseball cap. The leader of the operation. Trying to balance questing with taking care of his bedridden mother.

              2. Leif Fukuda, a silent, sullen girl with card magic and weird horns on her head. Known by her red scarf. Would rather not have people discover which world is her home world.

              3. Adonis Domini, a former villain fresh out of jail. Doesn’t care about his nobility heritage, currently wondering why he’s stuck with a bunch of boring and serious people. Bored with his intelligence and would rather play a joke or stay invisible.

              For brunch, probably Leif. She needs some time off, poor thing. Constantly dealing with these people as well as with her boyish name.

              Rob a bank with Kenneth. Because he’d never do that. I’d love to see how careful and methodical he is.

              Play a prank on Adonis. He wouldn’t mind. And also he himself is such a jokester and wild card, he kind of deserves it.

                For some reason, I feel like I’m getting a better idea of who your guys’ character more from these three questions than most character questionnaire sheets, haha.  XD

                @seekjustice

                I’ve never been particularly interested in books  about werewolves, but after reading you character descriptions, that may be changing…

                @writerlexi1216

                Just by describing your characters your story and characters sound so whimsical and interesting!

                @elfwing

                Just by reading your character descriptions I feel like I can perfectly imagine them in my head! If only I had the story in my hands to hang out with them. XD

                @devastate-lasting

                I laughed out loud reading the part about you choosing Kenneth to rob a bank with because he’d never do that. XD

                Honestly I wish these characters were in the story I am reading now. Because, well… let’s just say they are not particularly interesting or enduring in anyway.

                    Cool, I love everyone’s answers!

                    Okay, so I’ll do my current fantasy WIP

                    Tem: Twelve years old, hates the village he lives in, and is eager to find a lost treasure.

                    Audry: Fourteen, and Tem’s older sister.  Sensible, cautious, over-protective at times.

                    Fulke: King’s right-hand man, willing to bribe, steal, or fight anyone to accomplish his mission for his lord.

                    I’d go to lunch with Audry (and we can commiserate together on our siblings 😉 )  I’d rob a bank with Fulke (and make sure he gets caught instead ’cause, he won’t know what security cameras are!)  And play a harmless, funny prank on Tem (so he can smile for a change.  I mean, his pet phoenix is trying to lighten him up, so…)

                    @kathleenramm

                    That’s awesome that you’re writing a story with your siblings!  My sister and I are brainstorming on some story ideas together.  If you don’t mind me asking, what’s your story about?

                      @imwritehere1920

                      Woah, your ruthless! Just joking, but poor Fulke! Would you try to get him out of prison or would you just skedaddle? I mean from your description, he does kinda sound like someone who might deserve to be there. But it’s quite a unusual and tragic ending to die because of “Security camera ignorance”.

                      Yes! I absolutely love writing with my siblings! I actually have seven siblings, but the three oldest have moved away and are off being adults.

                      So it’s the four of us left my older sister and two younger brothers. We’ve been writing together for ten years! Which seems absolutely nuts, but yeah, stories are almost all we talk about. XD

                      I love that your brainstorming story ideas with your sister! Let me know if anything comes of it.

                      The current project we are working as been floating around for six years, but we always got stuck whenever we tried writing it. This year we took the story by the shoulders again, but this time with more experience and switching it up a bit by turning it into a serial novel.

                      The basic premise is five teen criminals disguise themselves to pass superheroes in a prestigious superhero school. Each there for something they all desperately need, and all ready to get with whatever means possible.

                      So yeah, as you can tell it is a pretty light-hearted comedy-leaning story. But as always in our stories, is does have some darker elements and themes playing throughout.

                        Haha!  Yeah, I’ve been learning that I’ve been way too easy on some of my characters (and have now to throw them into conflict and trials)  But, since I really need Fulke in my story, I’ll probably pass as an attorney and get him out.  🙂

                        Oh wow, seven!  That’s one more than in my family!  I also have three older siblings (all married, one with two kids), and two younger siblings.  My younger sister and I love bouncing story ideas off each other (and talk about it a lot), so I totally get it.

                        Good for you taking this story by the shoulders!  It sounds really intriguing.  Are you thinking of publishing it one day?

                          ohhh you have seven siblings?? that’s so cool!

                            @kathleenramm *chuckles quietly* This is one of the greatest TotW of all time…

                            @everyone-who-has-participated-thus-far All of your characters sound fantabulous!!! I agree with Kathleen – I’ve gotten to know them so well now!

                            @elfwing
                            I’m the oldest of six too!

                            So, since I’ve pretty much exhausted BAD’s characters, I’m gonna go with the MCs from one of my side projects, Tell Me No Lies. (This should be fun…)

                            #1 Kerri Cannon – Newly widowed New York heiress born in the South who is currently under suspicion for murdering her husband. Generally bubbly and mischievous…when everyone around her isn’t dying.

                            #2 Forrest Billingham – Lawyer and P.I. in his spare time who has been hired to investigate the murder of a wealthy businessman. Calm, levelheaded, and methodical.

                            #3 Rhys Sterling – Half-brother of the victim, with a not-so-sterling reputation and questionable motives. Charming, sarcastic, and full of secrets.

                            Kerri, I would take to brunch, because we could both use the female companionship and she’s just a ton of fun to hang out with.

                            I would definitely pull a prank on Forrest, ‘cuz, y’all, the look on his face would be PRICELESS!

                            As for bank-robbing? Rhys, without a doubt! Granted, he has yet to graduate from cheating at poker to full-out bank-robbing, but I don’t doubt his capabilities one bit! Only thing is he’d probably be the one in the getaway car (or carriage, in his case), leaving me with the prison sentence.
