If you want to find all the cops, they're hanging out in the donut shop.

And then you can go back and read my whole thing *evil chuckle*

December 21, 2024 at 3:58 pm #192639Thank you so much, I didn’t think it would have that impact. While I was writing it I was wondering the whole time if people would understand it XD

Thank you!

December 23, 2024 at 1:42 pm #192742And yes, Liberty, Hans hates Jews and is the main villain of my first novel (and other novels as well…he’s the main villain in several of my WW2 WIP ideas).
Gotcha. Wow. It’s so sad writing about villains…especially their background. Does…*gulp* Hans have any redemption later on? *hopeful eyes*

December 23, 2024 at 4:51 pm #192759Nope. No redemption for Hans. Plenty of chances in the book I read, but he turns them all down.

December 23, 2024 at 5:11 pm #192762Oh. *so sad*
I love the really bad characters who are villains but then are redeemed and turned around. In fact…nearly all of my favorite characters from books/movies followed that arc. Like Edmund Pevensie, Boromir, Rolf Klaus, Richard Maxwell… etc
But, you need the negative character arcs as well because that’s true in life. I actually have a character in my wip who has a negative character arc (he’s good, but turns bad). I’ve never written a character like this before…so it’s interesting. The terrible thing is I can’t help loving him so much!!! I mean, when he was good, he was such a lovable character! It’s kind of heartbreaking creating him…because I know what happens to him later.
Hmmm…when I wrote that last sentence, it made me think: If that’s how I feel about a fictional character, then God must feel so much more heartbroken when living humans that He created and cared for reject Him and follow the path to death.
It’s a sobering thought.

wait! Rolf Klaus!! Not Rolf Klaus from The Baker Family Adventures?!?!
oh yes, I have often thought of that. I find so many aspects of writing a small reflection of God and us.

December 26, 2024 at 3:23 pm #192957@anyone y’all want a villain rant?
also no context whatsoever hehe
“….I would’ve killed your little flightless twins, of course. Suffocated them in my coils before they knew what was happening.” she said, continuing from some time before we’d come in. She didn’t notice us there. “I would’ve loved to watch the look on your face when I came to you with their bodies. But that wouldn’t have worked, would it? You weren’t their father like my father was to me. They were nothing to you. You saw them as slabs of stone in need of a chisel. No, you didn’t want two sons. You wanted a single champion. And if I wanted to destroy you—wanted you to die cursing my name…” She paused here, and though she was facing away from us, I could imagine the cruel smile forming on her face, the forked tongue and fanged mouth readying more hateful words. “I needed to make sure that champion never emerged. They needed to fight, forever. Then, and only then, could I repay you for all you did to me.”
She finally sat down in a chair in front of him, her tail winding around the seat. “That was the start of everything…and we’ve been at it ever since, haven’t we? Just you…and me.”
Now this is part of a fanfic so I can’t take credit for all of it but I did adapt it into a shorter form than the original and added a bunch, so I hope it counts.
I think I have three snowballs now (finally), but I’m not gonna throw them yet.

I know! This is so exciting! That’s what I’m doing!
I LOVE THAT SERIES!!!! BEST BOOK SERIES EVER!!!!!!!!
YES!!!!!!!!!!!! *more crazy fangirl screaming*
Which one is your favorite!?!
Ooo…it’s a bit hard for me to say…though I think The Treacherous Trail is my favorite. (I often find myself pulling that one off the bookshelf) It’s because Rolf first appears in that one he is an absolute sour-face! You see his bad side in that book, but it’s also your introduction to him, so you find him really tickling when he appears in book 6 and has changed a lot! (I mean, his dryish humor is just so hilarious!!!)
I really like book 6 too…because Rolf’s in it! and book 7 (I mean, we’re Scottish!!!! How could we not really like this one???!!!!) and book 8. Ah…*contented sigh* Rolf and Furgus’s feud is just so perfect!
What about you?
SHE’S COMING OUT WITH ANOTHER!!!!???? I thought she was done!!!!!
There hasn’t been much information on Book 9, but the series can’t be done!!! There’s still so much to cover! She herself said having a Baker’s Dozen sounds nice. (that’s 12 books) I haven’t checked up on her recently to see if she’s started on it…but I’m assuming she’ll be working on it. I mean, SHE JUST HAS TO!!!!! Her reader fans are going crazy about this!!!
(meaning I and my siblings)

😶
😟
🥺
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
*Bwwwwwwwh* 🤧
Ya’ll,
😖
MY PET SNOWBALL RAN AWAY FROM HOME LAST NIGHT!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
*Bwwwwwwwh* 🤧
My precious snowball! Oh, how I loved it. . .
I made sure it was nice and smooth, no rocks. I let it go outside and play. I even made it it’s own pair of jammies!
😖
S-sorry, I have to p-pause for a moment.
😣
🙁
Okay I’m good now.
Last night, I tucked my precious snowball tight into it’s little bed (I made it a bed too) and kissed it good night. . .
This morning it was gone.
It must have run away.
I guess it didn’t like me because I hadn’t given it a name yet. 😒
If any of y’all see it, tell it I miss it!
(The part that really stinks is it wet the bed before it left. Now I have to clean up the mess. 🫤)
You will love what you spend time with.
