Announcing the winners!!!!
First, like the previous judges, I will go over each story.
Shadow:
What a short, sweet story! You are sucked right into a conflict, though you never learn what Milly said to Hazel. I like how you don’t go into the details and past but carry the story in the present through the dialogue between the twins. This piece could belong to a longer story where you’d learn the two girls’ conflict with each other, but it’s written so that it’s not needed. It’s fine as a stand-alone short. I felt like I’d just come upon the scene, watching Liam help Milly sort her troubles out. Good job!
Hazel is a human, and God is God, and you know, He forgave Paul. I’m pretty darn sure He will forgive you too.”
I love that line as well!!!
Koshka:
The ending was a total cliffhanger! I’m assuming Timon went inside, though… I would if I were him. I think you still portrayed the verse in a way with that scene in the end, just not in an obvious/stated way. With the warm, golden beam shining over the dark cobblestones before Timon’s face, I saw a picture of light and hope being offered to one lost in darkness. I enjoyed the ending as well…though not at first! ? One last thing, I love your descriptions and adjectives! Some examples: smogish, hard nailed, smutted.
I am curious, though. How did Timon and Maribel make this agreement in the first place?

What a beautiful story! I’m sure we’ve felt like Lainey before…about being judgmental of others and then with shame realizing how loving they have been to us. And also how we sometimes feel like no one is watching or caring about the pain and struggles we’re going through. Then, seeing that One is watching over us and truly does care. The wintery weather, being followed by the bright joys of Christmas, fit this story perfectly!
I enjoyed reading all three stories!!!! And now, allow me to announce the winner!!!!!

To speak honestly, I knew you were the winner when I first read your story. I hope this isn’t being biased, but it’s because I had a Christmas where I felt so much like Lainey. Though my reasons were different from hers, I can relate to the anger and despair and dull eye towards the festive celebrations. Then, when she read that text from Owen…that truth, and the hope that came to her, the realization that she had a Light even in darkness, well, it resonated deep within me.
So, congratulations, Sara!!!!! You are the next judge/prompter!!!!

Funnily enough, I’m thinking of using these characters (who are characters from some of my first ever stories) in something, idk what yet though.

sorry I didn’t post a story ?? it is due to me overcrowding my schedule! But I promise I will do whatever @savannah_grace2009 thing is!!! I do truly want to participate in this, I just have to stop procrastinating.

I’m not sure since these characters came out of nowhere just for this snippet, but I imagine he had been watching her awhile, defended her from some other street their, and decided this little not-rich but still happy girl needed a guard. Probably after she started sharing her lunch with him.
