December 23, 2024 at 12:48 am #192687And it looks like we have a winner! Congratulations @liberty ! A deep story!
You will love what you spend time with.
December 23, 2024 at 7:32 am #192691I really like this picture!!! So good!
Congrats on the win!
I’m glad Power judged because I wouldn’t have been able to submit anything today. With Christmas right around the corner I’m swamped!

December 23, 2024 at 11:09 am #192712No, I’m concentrating on finishing my main WIP right now. Maybe in the new year I will participate in one of these.
Also, saw your wolf drawing here. I like wolves. Nice!

December 23, 2024 at 1:34 pm #192739Thanks! The story is actually my sister’s story, but I wrote it. It was a neat project to do with her! Thanks for judging…even though there wasn’t much to judge.
Yes, I know. It’s busy this time of year.

Totally understand.

So…I guess I’m the latest winner of the Short Story Prompt War and the new prompter and judge.
However, since everything is busy for you all and me, I decided to postpone the upcoming story prompt until next year.
So, what do you all think? When would be the best time to hold the contest?
Do you want me to give the prompt now so you can think/work on it, but have the deadline way out? Or, should I pick a time to release the prompt/start the contest in the spring?
What works best for everyone?

December 23, 2024 at 5:04 pm #192761December 23, 2024 at 6:29 pm #192770I’d prefer to have the prompt now, before I’m super busy with school again, but either way works.

Sure! I can share the prompt soon, but have no set deadline until the next year. Give me a bit of time to think about the prompt.

December 24, 2024 at 2:10 pm #192812I haven’t actually participated in any of these yet, so don’t worry about me too much. But I am more likely to participate in this if it runs in the new year to keep writing while I take a break between drafts.
