Huh, even tho you all tagged me my email refused to tell me. :///
@josiahdeboerofficial Hey I remember you too! XDDD Good to see you again!
@dekreel HELLOOOO!! Nope, not an ENFJ anymore. I’m joining the ENFP club. 😉@leon-fleming Hey! See you were close with Educated Natural Flipping Pancake. But look at what you’ve done. Now I want a pancake. 😉
@selah_chelyah HI AGAIN!! YES the memes and gifs and all those things. I mostly write sci-fi, actually. I haven’t written fantasy in yEaRs though I love to watch fantasies. As for reading, I’m mostly into clean sci-fi (hard to find so mostly I have to write it myself XD), and contemporaries. 😛
@shannoncv You have to remind me of the Snapper Repellant?? XD How am I supposed to melt chairs now? XD lol jk. It’s so good to see you again! And your phone for that matter …
LATER IN THE CONVO AS I SCROLL THROUGH ALL THE POSTS
Leon Flemming NOTEBOOKS AND JOURNALS YESSS. I have far too many of those and I still need more. XD
(still later)
I haven’t melted a chair in a loooonggg time but I still threaten it from time to time. And besides, I don’t pay for the chairs I melt, since they’re digital. It’s like erasing a string of data–completely free!
(even laterrrr)
Shannon, old habits die hard. … o.o there’s no one here trying to stop me…
And yes, I LOVE CHOCOLATE but alas that won’t be enough to persuade me. Once you figure out my favorite food then maybe we can negotiate. @leon-fleming (actually I’m not a big fan of whipped cream haha but I appreciate the thought XD)

@dragon-snapper It’s SO good to see you too. I have missed this place. And of course I shall remind the world of the Snapper repellant. It is a tale that must be told.
Question: do *we* want the strings of data erased, for free or otherwise? I have never heard you ask our permission. (but then again what fun would be a dragon who politely asks permission to melt chairs?)
Ack favorite food? Does anyone here know Snapper’s fave food?? Please. Someone has got to know.
May 19, 2020 at 6:19 pm #82025Lol, that’s great. I’ve been reading more fantasy and contemporary lately as I’ve been beta reading more. XD It’s usually a lot of history other than that.
@shannoncv
I really get the whole color thing. I write that way, too. If it feels right or not, and people say I have a mesmeric way of writing, I think bc of it.

May 19, 2020 at 9:18 pm #82045@shannoncv That’s cool. Though I don’t see these things, usually. It’s mainly thought that springs when thinking about them. It’s like this: *look at LOTR* Boom.
Really? That’s interesting. What would be familiar?
That’s an interesting perspective! What comes to mind or sight when you read this: The soft luminescence fell upon the quiet pond, fading into the wet abyss.
I need to write a poem on that.
It is kinda like a secret language; except with lots of different perspectives. That’s funny! My six is a deep crimson red, though sometimes more like a light red. It reminds me strangely a lot of my sister. My eight is more like your six, though different: it’s a deep sea, blue with shades and shadows of green spread throughout, but definitely a greater presence of blue. My seven is all of them at once, really. Though sometimes it’s an undefined mix of orange and yellow. My A is pretty red, too.
Ohhh, my J reminds me of throw-up, which isn’t nice at all. But generally it’s a brown that reminds me of really damp dirt that’s permeated with river rocks. But the rocks are covered in the dirt so that you can’t see their natural colour.
RE:^6 PS Yeah, I definitely will. Math is a watery blue, very light and almost like I’m looking at it through light blue water, with the light reflecting through it like it does. Sometimes it falls into a deeper blue, though. I don’t particularly like math, but apparently I’m good at it; it’s the highest grade I got this year. XD
May 19, 2020 at 9:20 pm #82046@dragon-snapper XD That’s much too bad about the whipped cream; I love the stuff.

@leon-fleming Yeah I meant think sorry. And yeah as far as what seems familiar…I can’t put my finger on it. Something just does. Maybe it’s just the way you phrase things. I have no clue honestly.
Ok well first luminescence usually makes me think of a yellow glowy green…but when you put it with soft and the idea of water, it becomes a light blue (a true blue not a teal blue) with sparkling waves of gold and silver running over it. And then it deepens into a teal that goes of into a sort of very very dark greeny mustard color. Abyss is a very ugly word color wise in my mind…I have no clue why.
And yes that’s exactly it…a lot of perspectives. I love the way 6 reminds you of your sister, that is so cool. I kinda wonder if everyone’s A is red. Isn’t A is for Apple (a very red apple in all the pictures) very much ingrained in our heads when we are children?
RE:^7 PS Math is red…a sort of maroon red, but a very bright maroon which is odd because the word maroon itself is sort of dark and moody and of no particular color. Your math sounds absolutely lovely though. I’m terrible at math. I flunked Algebra 2 when I was 14 and had to do it again when I was 15. That was a sad year because my online teacher was not a very good teacher. But Geometry was really fun the next year because my teacher was awesome. But my highest grade is ALWAYS English and writing related. (why I’m majoring in english and creative writing haha)
May 19, 2020 at 11:50 pm #82065@shannoncv OH; that would kinda make sense, I guess. 🙂 As far as thinking goes.
Similar minds think alike, I guess.
A panorama of colours and paintings. You should think about being a painter, as a hobby or something. I’m planning on it. When I think of that sentence, a bunch of things come and burst. The faded almost pale green with a hint of yellow: luminescence. This is all rather mixed together with star-like lights spread throughout, almost like pearls, but with four points like a compass. These are vivid, yet somewhat blurred, if you know what I mean. Their colour is mainly white, though it is dampened with a pale-green/blue. But this effect is so light, that it makes them almost a grey silver hue. This light falls down into a completely still pool of water in a secluded forest, but naught of the forest shows forth, for this light in the pond takes up all space in imagination. The pond is immensely deep; abyss. It is so deep that there can be no end to be seen. As the light fades ever deeper into the darkening water, all is quiet and a feeling of sadness, regret, and a mournfulness seeps in as the light continues to fade and eventually disappears into the black of the quiet abyss.
To me, abyss is a mystery, but has a feeling of deep knowledge and unknown to it. It is mainly black, but there is a feeling that there is more within that, and on the outsides of the dark there are a few hints of blue; a dark blue, almost midnight. This reminds me of the depths of the ocean.
Yeah, I’ve always wondered about that. For some reason: my younger brother is nine years old, but it doesn’t seem to belong to him at all. Nine seems so much deeper than that. And he seems much more like a five for some reason. He’s a funny little guy…Yeah! What’s the deal with that? I’ll bet that definitely had something to do with it.
RE:^8 PS That’s really different, and interesting at the same time. Probably because I’ve always thought of math as the above description. XD The word maroon itself reminds me of something totally different than that: it reminds me of a tropical sunset looking out onto a clear sea that is reflecting the reds, yellows, and other colours of the sunset. And there’s a palm tree silhouetted against the oncoming night. But the sun is already down, so that it’s a little like dusk.
It is; that might be the only thing that holds any interest in math for me.
That’s too bad; my math this year wasn’t so difficult as everybody made it out to be. Algebra is sorta like a code, with too many formulas. But all somebody needs to do is memorize all those formulas, and it’ll be easy from there on out. Geometry isn’t hard at all. I especially like vertical angles because everything makes sense. And it’s so simple. YEAH, I love English, but this year I didn’t have a good class at all. My teacher was liberal and was throwing all his bunk at us. Plus he talked really weird, and not manly at all, which was disgusting. We didn’t even do anything on poetry, even though he told me that we would be doing a section on it in “the winter”. I questioned him on the matter. But anyways; I’m glad that’s over with. I’m done with school for the year. I’ll probably be going back to independent study next school year, so that’ll be a lot better. Oh, yeah! XD

@leon-fleming
I LOVE PAINTING. Legit watercolors are like my absolute favorite thing. I have paintings for each of my MC’s. I love mixing different colors together to create different moods, figuring out which specific colors go to specific words. I have these awesome sparkly watercolors that give everything the most cool glow and create so much depth within the other colors. You definitely should try it. Honestly, try watercolors if you haven’t because they lend themselves best to the kind of thing you are describing. They offer so many different tones within one color. Light-dark, in between, soft washes, and they blend so beautifully!
Wow that sentence packs a lot. So you don’t just see colors you also see pictures. That’s interesting. I generally only see colors, I wish I saw pictures. (pretend see is think because it makes more sense to say see even though we are thinking it). Also a pond full of light that takes up all space in imagination sounds spectacular. I want to see it. Also the way you describe abyss, the feeling that comes with it, I completely agree with. It’s a very mournful word somehow.
Yeah I feel that way about names. Like my name is Shannon but the name is the completely wrong color for me. The sh in it is usually dark blue or navy, and the n is a mustardy yellow (kind of an ugly yellow I think) and the name Shannon is always painted in thick deep dark colors. But I (not my name, just me) am teal, periwinkle, with a bit of bubblegum pink and soft foresty green, and there are gold splatters. All the colors are softly brushed, more like watercolors, whereas my name is more acrylics. My little brother Daniel’s name doesn’t fit either. His name is a bright red, maroon, and brown, with an odd shade of green in it, but he is navy blue (a very bold navy if you know what I mean) soft gray, a touch of teal (a bit darker than my teal but still relatively light), and some foresty green (not a soft green a nice undiluted tree green).
What’s your opinion on names/personalities and how does that play into the names you give your characters?
RE:^9 PS Your maroon sounds like a place I’d like to visit which makes me mad because I abhor my maroon. Are there any words colors that you find particularly unpleasant?
Ugh yeah I am so glad I’m done with math (although I guess I’ll have to either CLEP or do a course in college math this coming year which I am NOT looking forward too.) Oof that is really frustrating. Sorry you didn’t get to do any stuff on poetry. I hate it when people bring their personal political/lifestyle opinions into a classroom…it is completely unacceptable and shouldn’t have to be tolerated. So what type of school do you go too (assuming you go to school because you said you’d be going back to “independent study”)?

@dragon-snapper I am so sorry @leon-fleming and I have hijacked your thread to talk about color combinations and their relations to words, numbers, and personalities. I’m sorry as I’m afraid we cannot give the thread back…we need it more than you do to talk about very important colors.
May 20, 2020 at 7:56 pm #82161@shannoncv Awesome! I haven’t done much with watercolours, but that sounds great! I’ll definitely try that out. My sister and mom watercolour, too, so I might ask them to help me out. Maybe I can eventually pain that scene…that would be nice.
Yeah, I see pictures. But I also see/think emotions. I wonder how that’ll work into the painting…
Yes; abyss has always been mournful, but obscure, like I wouldn’t comprehend its mournfulness because it’s too deep. Which would kinda seem strange given that I don’t think of the ocean’s depths like that at all.
I’ve found something interesting: for you, a lot of the things that I think of as relating to red, you relate to blue. Which is kinda cool; you know, seeing a different perspective. I’ve never thought of ‘sh’ as blue before; though now that I do, it reminds me of ripples in a really cold, blue pond. ‘Sh’ has always been a wavy, sorta rough light red. And ‘n’ is a liquid green-grey. With a hint of steel. Not the colour; the metal.
The way you describe yourself in colours really resonates with your writing style/character up to this point. Which is interesting, because mine doesn’t really. My name is first deep-almost luminescent like green with hints of taffy yellow. Then my middle name is a ruddy blue, which doesn’t really make sense, but that’s really the only way I can describe it. My last name is a mix of colours. Red, brown/green, a different, mysterious shade of green, then a key-like black with hints of silver. But all the colours don’t really mix together. Almost like oil and water. All three names are kinda like hard sand and waves. But I (yeah, not my name; me) am a mysterious shade of colours. It’s a mass; a swirling ball of colours, banded together with streaks of fire-red, and occasional purples. And there’s always these things like sun-flares lashing out in bursts of red, which kinda seems like my character; I’m prone to frequent mood swings. Both positive and negative. But deeper into the mass there is blue, deep almost navy blue, and in there, all the colour seems to melt together, and flow around the centre-point which is like a star; a bright shining white. And hinted around the swirl of colours are green, and very occasional hints of yellow that are almost gold. And there’s silver, too, which appears as frequently as the gold.
My actual name colours are more up-front, but my actual colours are much more like a liquid. Which reminds me; my favourite weather is rain weather.
Is your brother a quiet sort of a person who likes to be outside?
My little brother’s name Jack really resonates well with his character. In a lot of ways, he’s like Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes. (He reads through those books like a wild-fire.) We here call him “Everybody’s Teddybear”, which suits him just fine. XD He’s sandy-brown, with a light blue and a mix of other colours like silver, yellow and green.
Well, for fictional characters (and since I write fantasy), I typically chose their names based off my languages, and from there, their characters seem to mould around that name that I give them. Which is interesting, because when thinking of my main character and his name, the colours of both are practically the same, with the same shading. But they’re just in a slightly different order, if you get my meaning. They’re not always mixed together, the colours.
I usually start out with a character that I like, with certain traits, and certain characteristics that I like for the character. Then I’ll file them away till I need them. Other times, I’ll come up with names, and usually it’s the ones that sound and feel better on the tongue that usually go in.
What about you?
RE^10 PS 🙂 Well, I’m glad you like it!
I cannot AT ALL stand the word ‘puke’. I can’t think of any more at the moment, but I’ll tell you if I do. What about you?
I agree; it shouldn’t be tolerated, but it should be debated if it comes up. Nobody was debating him; that is, except me. One time he said that he believe that swearing was right but only in the right situations. Nobody seemed to mind. So I posted something on our classroom-thing clearly showing the verses in the Bible that say that profanity/cursing/etc are wrong. Of course, people didn’t like that. Some did though, which was good. The teacher never answered.
Well, I’m going to a charter school, which means three days of class per week and the rest of the days, non-class work and class work that I was assigned. I’ll probably be moving towards the end of the year, so we’ll go back to private schooling (which I’m really looking forward to).
May 20, 2020 at 7:58 pm #82162XD Yeah, sorry @dragon-snapper!
