thank you! This’ll be a welcome challenge.
@anatra23 I’ve read a few of the Redwall books, namely Redwall, Mossflower, The Bellmaker, and that one about the baggers where that lord fellow falls off a cliff 😉 . I haven’t read any in a while though.Have you read Mistmantle? My brother liked them but didn’t get hooked, while we did.

October 27, 2021 at 9:01 pm #106682I agree. Beautiful design by a beautiful designer.
Your plans for owning a fennec are wonderfully complicated lol.I haven’t read too many Redwall either, I just really enjoyed the books I did. (read, that is.)
I’ve never heard of Mistmantle. I will look it up tho!October 28, 2021 at 5:48 pm #106713Here’s the premise for my book!
Torrent Starcatcher has had a hard life.
She was born into a universe in turmoil; the violent dictator Indy has been in control since before her parents were born. Her mother, Liberty, died when Torrent was young, and her father, Hunter, was drafted into Indy’s army six years ago, and presumed killed n battle.
Now, it’s just Torrent, her guardian Marek, and her half-blind cat Beaumont.
Until one day, Beaumont leads Torrent into the cave on her family’s property. She discovers a thriving resistance against Indy, which her family was once a part of.
When she learns her father might still be alive, she begs her new friends to help her rescue him.
I’m not finished with it yet, but if you want to know more, head over to the “Worldbuilding in a dystopian novel” topic!
Where'd I get ya this time? The liver? The kidney? I'm runnin' outta places to put holes in ya.
October 28, 2021 at 5:56 pm #106714@elishavet-pidyon I used that sort of thing in my novel–my MC’s dad uses a few self-tailored expressions. “Crosshairs and cutlery, you just won’t give up, will you?”
@godlyfantasy12 I have a character named Nyx too! She is a good deal more annoying, though. She’s also female, and she’s a Deinonychus (a certain species of dinosaur).Where'd I get ya this time? The liver? The kidney? I'm runnin' outta places to put holes in ya.
October 28, 2021 at 6:49 pm #106716All these premisses are thrilling!
So… Here’s Nyx’s portrait. It was fun to make and I learned quite a bit about drawing fur in the process. I’m so excited with how it turned out!
