April 9, 2021 at 9:17 pm #97249That’s incredible, girl!! 🙂 *claps* And I adore those lines!! Is this from Mirror or another story?? Also, YES please count me in for your writing tomorrow!! I’d LOVE to join you, if you don’t mind!! 😀
April 9, 2021 at 9:17 pm #97250April 9, 2021 at 9:18 pm #97251@writerlexi1216 HEYY congrats on 60k!!!! I just reached that last week and can say that you COMPLETELY deserve to feel accomplished and amazing XD Also, doooon’t worry about length. I actually just read an article the other day (*clears throat* because I was worried about the same thing…) that said:
I frequently get authors sending me 150,000 word novels (they always seem to be scifi & fantasy writers, who must all be longwinded), and once received a 180,000-word tome. Could it get published? Maybe. Occasionally somebody puts out a huge novel on a chunk of dead trees, but it’s rare. My thought? Unless you’re writing for a category publisher, shoot for the 90,000 word mark. People in a bad economy want value for their money — which means a big, thick book for their cash.
Also I felt personally attacked on what he said about sci-fi and fantasy writers because I am both, and also, my longest novels were sci-fi and fantasy….

April 9, 2021 at 9:18 pm #97252AWESOME!!!! Ella, you did AMAZING!!!! THANK YOU SOO MUCh for sprinting with me!!! I’m TOTALLY planning on writing a lot tomorrow, so feel free to tag me when you get to writing!!!!! I LOOVE YOUR LINES!!!! They are soo mysterious and awesome and just makes me wanna read your story sooo badly! <333
Here’s my stats:
My writing for this sprint: 440 words
My total writing today: 2295 words
Favorite lines: I had been that boy. I had chased the wind, unafraid and ambitious for the future. That was when the palace was home and I felt safe inside, not trapped. That was when the only pain I knew was when I had scraped my knee while wrestling with a servant boy. That was when scars were unknown to me and the world was only filled with kindness and goodness.
It was just too hard to chose.
Last line: It was better for me to silently disappear.
God gives His hardest battles to His strongest soldiers.

“Oh, come on. You and your work. Don’t you ever take any breaks?”
“The city needs me, Ava.”
“They don’t need you dead of exhaustion. Come on, after we’re done with this case, let’s go on a nice vacation somewhere. When’s the last time you left the city?”
Lately, it's been on my brain
Would you mind letting me know

Got back from my sprint just now! I think I wrote somewhere around 1k in the hour? Not sure.. XD
The last line I wrote:
There was a moment of hesitation, hypnotization, and then it stabbed the creature – just as the figure, the boy, it was revealed, fell into spasm and lost everything he had once been.
Also, I hit 40k on my first draft today!!! EEEE!!!
