I wonder why this doesn’t exist yet!

On top of book reviews on the general chat, this is the chat for movie and television show reviews. If you have any strong thoughts about a movie, feel free to share. This may mean a rating system (5/⭐) or whatever you want to do.

Additionally if you want to go on a rampage rant about what a movie should have been, how you would fix it, or just about movie culture in general, go ahead.

The opposite of that is also great. Some of us have childhood favorites or just lifelong favorites that deserve some analyzation or just a paragraph of love. <3

Good topic, I have a feeling there are going to be some interesting discussions on here. My siblings and I watch movies almost every weekend, so I will probably have a lot to say on here lol.

Ooo… this is a great topic idea! We’ve been watching a lot of movies recently, too.

People who don’t like Treasure Planet don’t exist, Rae. There only those who love it and those who haven’t seen it yet.

Ooooh yes, movies!!! (A very big part of why I don’t read or write as much as I used to) (but I love them!!)

I will gladly talk about movies. For so long.

That’s probably true…I mean Morph alone makes the movie great, not to mention everything else! I just wanted to ask cuz it apparently did really poorly at the box office.

Me neither, that’s why I asked. I’m kinda curious if anyone actually does have a reason for not liking it.

I mean the music is spectacular, the sense of adventure spoke to my child heart when I watched it, the animation is chef’s kiss, the characters are cool, morph is sooooo cute, and it’s overall my fav Disney movie, I just can’t find a reason NOT to like it (besides that some people wouldn’t like it just because it’s Disney).

                        What is Treasure Planet about?

Has anyone else watched Veggietales Jonah? It’s a family favorite.

@theducktator Treasure Planet is pretty much just Treasure Island, but in space. If you don’t know Treasure Island, its about a boy, Jim Hawkins, who finds a treasure map and goes on a trip to find the treasure, but it turns out that a lot of the crew on the ship are pirates.

I’ve actually heard a little bit about this! I think the biggest problem was just timing. 3D animation was getting more popular, I know that Shrek was released just a little before it. There were also a lot of background/developmental problems with making it. There are theories that Disney tried to use it to kind of kill off 2D animation with it opening the same weekend as Harry Potter and its really bad marketing. It was kinda just doomed to fail 🤷‍♀️ But its gotten a lot more popular!
