@kate-flournoy I understand! It does take a big chunk of time, and I’m not sure I’ll be able to do the entire 50,000, but it IS writing, so I WILL dream. And thank you! *is exceedingly grateful for understanding parents and co-op teachers*
@his-instrument I did it through the Young Writer’s Program last year, and left it set at 30,000, ended up with about 31,000, but I didn’t set out a certain block of time, so I’m planning to set out 1 1/2-2 hours a day for it… When I’m “in the zone” I can get up to 700 words in 30 minutes, but I’m typically closer to 400-500 in 30. 🙂

I’m starting my information gathering/idea finding pretty much is all, but I’m planning on also doing a tinge of actual plotting for once…

I’m in the same boat. I have several tough classes that are starting up soon, so I’m not sure how much time I’ll have, but if I know I’ve got all of y’all to write for, it makes it a bit easier for me, which is why I posted. I attempted NaNo last year, and ended up with one-eigth of an untitled novel that I can’t seem to expand on. With that said, I probably won’t do it this year. I’m taking an English class at a local college for high school credit, and I also really want to focus on getting good grades in school this year. I would love to do it again, though! And I may change my mind!
@aella It’s a name I’ve had for a while and is just a truncated version of my real name. I’m going to have fun finding Hope too.
@Hope Do you have a novel set up? Perhaps searching for it, if you give us the name would work better.
Ot you could just find each of us and add us as a writing buddy and we wouldn’t have to search.This will be my first year attempting to fight alongside the warriors of NaNoWriMo! School is an issue… But I will fight till the end! Or be told by my mother to sleep and eat and get some “real” work done.

@aella ah yes, I’m guessing Hope Ann isn’t that unique of a name. Maybe I should change it…but I can’t without setting up a new account so never mind.
I do have a project, @anna-brie, if that helps. Forest of Darkness. Now, there are two profiles of me right now. Hope Schmidt and Hope Ann. Hope Ann is my new one that I’m going to be using. Also, the picture is the same as my profile picture on here.
