Woah!!! That is so interesting! Sounds like a great book, I already love the charries! (ok except the wife and grandparents 😤) And that’s so sweet how he’s caring for his sister even though he kinda has nothing, wow those parent’s are awful. I’d be curious to know why they kick her out for being crippled. is there something in there past, how they were raised, or personal beliefs?

You have shattered my heart. Completely. I don’t cry much, and I did over Aramis’ story 😭😭😭😭. WHY?!?!? Haha, I know why, but still. Poor Aramis 😭😭😭😭!!!
I just had a picture pop into my head of a young Aramis, like hiding in a closet (one of the same ones that he later shuts Paxton in 😭😭) after he finds out of his father’s death, and just forcing back the tears, and thinking “faries don’t cry. Faries don’t cry 😭😭😭

#ProtectSeb@godlyfantasy12 Loki DOES have a redemption arc, I thought. (I’ve seen Thor Ragnarök and the Loki TV show, so…I’m not an expert but I’ve seen quite a bit of him.)
Also you’re making me feel just a bit sorry for Aramis. He still deserves to have his wings torn off tho.

I write redemption arcs for all my favorite fandom villains…………don’t even know why. Some, like The Bad Batch‘s Crosshair, are more like “Yes, he needs to be reconciled with the other MC’s”; others, like Tron Legacy‘s Clu, are just like “Um, isn’t this upsetting his entire purpose as a villain???”
Where'd I get ya this time? The liver? The kidney? I'm runnin' outta places to put holes in ya.

Ok… because of something that @princesachronicle22 said… I want to share this sad scene from my Refined Duology. Ty is narrating. For some backstory: Tyrone ran away from home at the age of 12 after his parents disappeared/died. He got jealous of Corie’s joy after such a horrid thing so he left. This is when he’s working for the villain. Guys… Aloth is terrible.
Warning: the scene does start with Ty being whipped. It’s the first two paragraphs. The heartbreaking part comes a bit after that.
“Apparently,” Aloth hissed. “Someone will learn not to lie to me ever again.” He seized me by my collar, grabbed a leather strap, and led me behind the cottage. He tore off my shirt and raised the whip. I stepped away and said, “So you trust Nyoka more than me? I gave you that scroll and that key. I didn’t even look inside the scroll.”
Aloth hesitated. But he still ended up tying me to a stake. He whipped me with the leather strap, over and over again. I winced at the first strike. This wouldn’t be terrible. I was wrong. He hit me again. I grunted. He whipped me eight more times. By the end, my back was throbbing and probably bleeding. Tears filled my eyes, but I willed myself not to cry.
Aloth looked me in the eyes. “You will not lie to me ever again.”
He walked inside. Rain soon started to pour from the sky. I dropped to my knees in weakness. The rain ran down my face… or was it tears? No. I would not be weak. I ignored the pain of the whippings… But I couldn’t ignore the pain inside. It brought back memories of regret from the past four years. And memories I had tried to forget. Aloth punished me with anger, but my father had always punished me with love, wishing that I had done better. A hug always followed a punishment. My father would wrap his arms around me and whisper in my ear, “I love you, Ty.” And I would reply, “I love you too, Dad.”

Oh my gosh!! That is so heart breaking 😭😭😭!! Oh!! I have a scene similar to that in my book! Tyrone reminds me of my character, Dylan. Poor Ty! I really want to read your book now. 😀
