So…I REALLY wanna talk about the planned sequel for Freedom’s Fire, called Returning For God, but it will possibly reveal spoilers…but then again…maybe not…since it’s more of a specific character that I want to talk about.
But will anyone be bothered by spoilers, or should I just GO for it!? XD And does anyone wanna hear about this character?
Btw, it’s about a character’s life after WW2 and their redemption…maybe someone no one expects…

….Then I shall begin…
…first, with this family board…and now…the story…
Starting in 1946, 1 year after WW2 ended in Europe with Germany’s Surrender.
Married for almost two years…
…a former SS Male officer and a former SS Woman Officer have their first baby, Henry.
The man dearly loves his wife and baby boy, and vows to do anything in his power to keep them safe.
But his past is slowly creeping up on him…and soon, he won’t be able to escape it.
It becomes even harder to escape when his wife starts being extremely physically abusive towards him, reminding him of both things he’s done and things others did to him, but he never once hurts her, loving her too much to do so and feeling guilty about hurting people in the past.
Guilt starts to weigh down on his shoulders, and he starts doing everything he can to make up for his mistakes.
And when Henry is 4, he and his wife have another baby boy, Aiden.
He loves his 2nd son just as much as his 1st son and is prepared to do even more to keep his wife and two little boys safe.
But only one month after Aiden’s birth, following one of his younger sisters’ sickness that has now left her paralyzed from the hips down, his wife…
…abandoned him and his sons. She never even said goodbye. They never divorced.
And only a few months later, his sister, now in a wheelchair, was kicked out of her parents’ home for being a “cripple”, moved in with him, and he then started caring for his sister and his sons, struggling with guilt and grief.
He has to work evening/nights every day except Sundays, and takes care of his house, even though he can’t quite afford it, so his parents pay for it.
On one condition.
His sons have to stay with his parents when he’s working. And he has no other choice but to let them have their way.
And his parents still have control over him, and…as he was in his young childhood…he’s abused.
And Henry saw him be brutally beaten one day, and is now afraid of leaving his Daddy’s side and terrified of his grandparents.
His sister helps out as much as she can, but bound in a wheelchair, she can’t do much, but he cares for her anyway, loving her more than he ever had before.
But he’s still haunted by guilt…and when he hears that two men are coming to Germany to tell their stories and bring the Gospel, he goes with his boys…just hoping he can find answers…or just…something.
…Because Adolphus is just looking for hope.

I feel so bad for him now XD…and yes, it doesn’t excuse anything, but yes, have no fear, for he reconciles with Leo and his brothers…and ends up moving to America with his baby boys, OH, and brings Steffi with him, who is the sister who is now in a wheelchair, poor girl. *sniffs, then sobs*
IKR!?!?!? I don’t know if they’ve hurt them at all yet or not, but if they do, THEY BETTER BE GLAD THEY AIN’T REAL!

Woah!!! That is so interesting! Sounds like a great book, I already love the charries! (ok except the wife and grandparents 😤) And that’s so sweet how he’s caring for his sister even though he kinda has nothing, wow those parent’s are awful. I’d be curious to know why they kick her out for being crippled. is there something in there past, how they were raised, or personal beliefs?
