Hey everyone! Honestly I found this site through Karynn Heckler (Karynn I read your story in “Tell Me You Love Me” and loved it then was shocked to realise you were 16! I was 16 at the time too and had been always wanting to write in the future (esp Christian romance!) but then thought why not now!!) I searched her up to contact her and tell her how much her story inspired me but then found a link to this site instead! Was thrilled since this is so cool and something I didn’t know I needed – a place for young writers and not just writers but writers writing CHRISTIAN FICTION?!?! So rare and so needed. Anyway – about me – I’m Hannah! I’ve LOVED to read ever since I was learning how to read my first three letter words and though my choice in genres has definitely changed since then – still love to spend any free time devouring a book! And now… writing them too:) Favourite genre has to be romance (clean rom-coms esp – ESP if it’s a Christian rom-com!!) and I really want to add to the genre! I also love eating dessert (total foodie here), school + learning (haha yeah no srsly way too much of an overachiever) andd obviously GOD! So happy to be here!

Anyway, I’m Solfyre! I’m a homeschooled sci-fi/fantasy writer, just starting in highschool. I love writing (obviously lol), reading, playing guitar, basketball, and a whole lot of other stuff. I’m getting ready to do YWW this year, so that’s been exciting.
Aaaanyway, enough about me! Now for some newbie questions! 😉
1. What is your favorite part of writing? (descriptions, dialogue, character/worldbuilding, etc.)
2. Favorite authors? (Mine is Bryan Davis, but I like Christine Cohen, Christopher Hopper, and well a lot of others XD)
3. Favorite bands? (Mine is The Arcadian Wild, though The Gray Havens comes as a close second)
4. And finally, what is your WIP about/going to be about? (Mine’s pretty complicated so I won’t bore you with the details, lol. It’s a lot to explain at once.)

Thanks! Haha lol I don’t know if I’ll be able to show my parents/close fam/teachers what I write for a while (too embarrasing 😭 even though it’ll all be faithbased and clean) but yeah romance it is.
That’s cool! I’m actually a junior in highschool who’s getting ready to apply to college – got one more year 😭- and honestly highschool reminds me of “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times” because it can get rough but really have fun!! Make friends, socialise and do crazy things (one of my biggest regrets lol is that I declined most invitations to go out with friends haha) but not stupid things:P! Nothing Jesus wouldn’t advocate;) but yeah be excited – it’s a one of a kind experience for sure!!
I also play the guitar! and piano:) love music + singing really. Well I haven’t written that many long pieces (just getting started with writing and I’ve only written really short pieces for school before!) but I actually I love dialogue (fun banter especially haha!), description and character building a lot! Actually all of it 😂.
Favourite authors.. hmm. Well I have a lot. But if I had to choose, recently I’ve been loving Nicole Deese, Melissa Tagg, Courtney Walsh, Samantha Markhum, Emily Wibberley and Jennifer Lynn Barnes!
Wellll I listen to artists more so than bands! My favourite right now is LOVKN but also any worship/Christian music really! Loveworld music is really powerful!
No I’d love to here about your WIP! Anything bookish I could talk about/listen to for hours haha. Def not boring. Well I haven’t started writing it yet but one of my ideas is to write an academic-rivals-to-lovers Christian romance!

Nice to meet you! I’m Landri C. I’m a college nursing student (previously homeschooled) who loves medicine, writing fantasy/fiction, reading, and music.
I like some good romance! I’m typically a fan of slightly older Christian romance (like Janette Oke) but I read some modern stuff as well sometimes! I mostly write in fantasy/medieval/adventure realms but I like to toss in a good romance now and again.

Ahh good question – well honestly a lot of things… I love reading romance. So planning to right some of that (faithbased tho lol). A dream of mine is to write an academic rivals-to-lovers Christian romance since that doesn’t exist haha! But normally I love writing simple storylines (think less action) that are really descriptive, with character development as well, though less dialogue – trying to add more of that. What about you?
Um lol haven’t figured that out yet – I feel like I’d be a plotter though;)
Well right now, I’m trying to submit a piece for this magazine… haven’t got inspo yet though!

Well I’ve looked after my Uncle’s Chocolate Lab for 2 weeks (still love her from afar hehe) but my parent’s said no to pets (sad coz she had puppiesss) at that point since we’re all usually really busy! I’ve also tried my hand at fish… Didn’t end too well rip (for the fish). I mean and for me as well – I’ve gotten way too good at identifying dead fish. What about yoU? First, I must make a book recommendation to you. Since you love Christian romance, I highly highly recommend the Christy Miller series by Robin Jones Gunn. It’s a series that follows the high school years of a Christian girl. Oh my word, it’s amazing. There’s obviously romance, and the author is just such a good writer. (I could rant about her books. XD) She also wrote a series about Christy in college and when she’s married and when she has kids. (I haven’t read the married ones or kid ones, so I don’t know about the maturity level of those.) She’s also written two series about two of Christy’s friend. I general, she’s written a ton of books. And as far as I’ve read, she is an amazing author. So yep, that’s my suggestion.

Yum! 😋 Those sound awesome. My favorite flavor is chocolate chip cookie dough. But more cookie dough than chocolate chip. XD I also really love (specifically) Grater’s raspberry sorbet.

That’s so cool!! I play the piano as well. I also play the violin. My other hobbies (besides writing and reading) are playing volleyball and occasionally drawing something or creating something artsy. 😉

Well . . . right now I’m half-working (I say that because I’m not really committed to it . . . I just wanted to write something 🤣) on a story about five teenagers traveling in a spaceship to join the army at a war outpost.
But I’ve had this idea for a while about a girl who has cancer . . . and just got told she’s probably going to die. . . and about her spiritual struggles and stuff after that. I haven’t tried to write it yet, but it’s kind of unusual for me to hold onto an idea for months and months . . XD So I’m wondering if this is something I’m meant to write.

Ooo Christian romance is a great genre! I’m only just starting to get into it but I’m learning to love seeing the depth that a Christ-centered relationship between a man and a woman can have, and how beautiful God ordained such a thing can be.
