      Welcome to Kingdom Pen!!

      I’m Esther: a volleyball-playing, violin-squeaking, dog-obsessed, homeschooled, fiction-writing, God-loving, teen girl!

So cool! I’m a homeschooled freshman as well!

Horses are awesome! I used to love them when I was younger, but not as much anymore. I have a friend who is really into horses and riding, so I hear a lot about it. 😉

Now for some questions! (It seems I’m a little late to the party, so I hope these questions haven’t already been asked.)

      1. Who is your favorite character to write and why?

      2. What is your favorite part of writing?

      3. Pumpkin spice lattes? Or no?

Nice to meet you and hope to see you around!!

Interesting. What lead to some of the names? Metamorphs your clearly deriving from metal morphs, but everyone will think of the prefix meta and not metal, suggesting that they are not related to metal, but are instead referred to as surreal, creative, or unique by nature. Half dragons are often referred to as Dracotaurs, especially in DnD, but have different names in different medias that have them. Also, what the homo prefix mean in the context of the homosupero? Homo in the sense that they are united, or perhaps that they are set apart as individuals to an extreme extent?

Metamorph is as you guessed it. The anthropomorphic dragons are a long story that C has never told me. homo means man while supero means overcome, surpass, conquer (latin class). it was a joke. My Wondians were homowondai while his Fettians were homosupero. I have no other name for them.

I also forgot to tell you about the techeeons? Techions? Techeons? i have no idea how to spell it. They are basically humans who transferred into a machine body. They are almost extinct.

Also the ‘little guys’ as I like to call them. Think miniature people of only about a foot or less tall who like to walk around in giant mech suits.

Okay… to answer your question, not cottagecore, nor dark academia, nor piratecore. I guess the vibe would be kind of adventure? Warrior? Ugh, this is not going well…think of star wars, but different galaxy, different characters, different plots, and one step above tech wise. Oh, and mandalorian viewpoint, but different. If that even makes sense, did that answer your question?

Actually, I don’t think those questions have been asked before. Congrats!

Who is your favorite character to write and why? Nahim Alfred Nayhelm, last of his family-clan. I know him as well as if he were my sibling (except whether he would like vanilla or chocolate ice cream, as far as I know, he’s never had it.)

What is your favorite part of writing? The characters and how they act and react. I love writing a good scene where Nahim shows so much of his character that is usually hidden under his monotone and quiet ways.

Pumpkin spice lattes? Or no? okay…I have never had a latte, let alone a Pumpkin Spice one. But, I do like Pumpkin Spice to begin with, so most likely yes.

So you’re a LOTR fan? XD

I have watched the movies… truthfully fantasy isn’t my favorite and I really didn’t get into them, but I have no problem with them either

ooh that WIP sounds interesting, have you read Wars of Realms by Chuck Black? I’ve read the first one and made it halfway through the second, but I really like them

Never heard of the show XD but I like sitcoms and other contemporary hallmark-style shows

*coughs* I’m a huge Marvel fan XD but I love a lot of fandoms

So Aesthetic boards are like a bunch of quotes and images made for your characters

              here’s an example

Honestly, Mom bought the Chuck Black Kingdom Series, and I never got past the third chapter of the first one. I don’t feel for the characters, so it’s boring.

OHHHH…**Lightbulb moment** Okay, yeah, I guess I’ve done that once or twice, but not often at all. Actually, I should do that more often. I’ve done it mentally with my favorite character of all time, Nahim, and it was enlightening. Thanks for letting me know what that is, I have never heard some of these terms.

                  Okay…

I’m lost. Do I just join some random topic or is that like bursting into a random person’s house? Should I make a new topic and go from there? I guess I’m just nervous.

It depends on what you’re going to post. If you want to share and/or get feedback on a project, you could create a new thread in either ‘general writing discussions’ or ‘critiques.’ Otherwise, if you have a specific question, there might already be a thread dedicated to that topic. What is it you want to post? I can probably point you to the proper place.

That does answer my question! I like the sound of your wip!

And yes, totally just join any topic! If you see a rp you want to join, all you have to do is go to the first page of the topic, read the rules, and then introduce your character with a description and short backstory. Some role-plays allow multiple characters, some just one.

                        @rae

I know I’m pretty late, but hi!

I’m GRCR! I’m a fiction writer and an avid artist, journalist for my fictional newspaper, and a character lover that has thousands of characters, (and I love them so much that I wish they were real people, lol). I enjoy listening to music and imagining my characters singing the songs. And, I enjoy 2D and 3D animating.

                        Anyhow, welcome to KP! 😁

As is the tradition, here are some “ask the newbie” questions:

If you have any characters, how many do you have?

Which perspective do you enjoy most: first person (I walked), second person (You walked), or third person (He/she walked)?

And, if you were going to write an entirely original and new book, what would you create first: the world or the characters?

Hope you enjoy KP, and I’ll see you around! 🙃

Last count of characters was 109+/- and that was Jan. 8th. Since then, I created a lot more and haven’t bothered to count them, I should though, sometime. I’ve got way too many characters.

I like to write third person, but when learning about a new character, or just in the mood, I will write little bits of scenes in first. I don’t do well in second.

If I were to create an entire new book, I would start with the MC, how they act/react, then go for their family/BFFs, then their world. Then the title. Then the book. I am aware you’re supposed to title the book later, but I always titled my papers and did the intro before everything else, so it’s just me.

Advice and characters is mostly what I shall be doing. Characters profiles, art, anything. And advice would be the most random things, cuz that’s how my mind works.

Okay. There is a characters section on the forum, so you could probably go in there and create a new thread. For advice, you would go to either ‘general writing discussions’ or if it’s something more specific, a section like ‘plotting.’ In either of those sections, there will probably already be a forum dedicated to that topic, but if not, you can create a new thread.
