Ooh, how’s filmmaking going? My younger siblings dabble in that field from time to time (mostly for comedic skits), but what kind of films do you make?

Well… 👉👈 😬 The only thing I’ve actually made is a short film for a contest about the effect fast fashion and overconsumption in general has on the environment but I had an idea about a comedy/horror about a pile of dishes that keeps appearing as you wash it. I wanted the song Come On Eileen in most of it though, and, uh, copyright… I could still do it, but I really got attached to the version with the song 😅 I definitely do a lot of thinking about filmmaking, though 😂

And musical theater is fun, have you been in any or have any favorite musicals?

I have! I’ve been in The Sound of Music, The Music Man, and The Christmas Story, and I did crew for The Lightning Thief, the Percy Jackson musical. Right now I’m on backstage crew for Tarzan. Actually had two shows today! My favorites are probably Newsies and Fiddler on the Roof. There are so many good ones though. The Music Man was definitely my favorite to be in.

Probably a chapter book I wrote a few years ago. It was about four friends who went on an adventure to Egypt, and while it wasn’t particularly a great story or well-written, it still holds a special place in my heart because it was one of the first stories I ever wrote.

I love experience!! It’s so beautiful and it feels like you’re on a quest or something. I’m so glad that doing piano got me into classical music

Yeah… I enjoyed Heroes of Olympus, but beyond that it’s meh. I think I might try Chalice of the gods eventually, just to see how it is

(And I love the Hobbit!! Huge Tolkien nerd here 😊

Many, many favorites. As you mentioned, I too watch a lot of movies, so I have couple favorites. Spiderman 2, Into the Spider-Verse, Prince of Egypt, Lion King, Puss in Boots 2, The Princess Bride, and probably some others that I can’t think of right now. I don’t watch a lot of shows, but I like Over the Garden Wall (though that’s technically a mini-series) and survival shows like Alone.

It really does. Sometimes I imagine it playing in a scene with a few of my characters lol. And you play piano? Nice! I play a little too.

Thank you! Puss in Boots 2 is really good, and Alone is pretty interesting (although it can be a little intense sometimes). And agreed, OTGW is amazing!

lol thanks! It would have horror styling kind of? But instead of jumpscares (cause I don’t really like horror movies) it would have shots back to a counter with more dishes including ones that you know you dried and put away…multiple times. All to the music of Come on Eileen 😅
