@rose-everdeen

Aw, thank you! That’s not a picture of my cat, it just went with the alias so well.

Huzzah! There aren’t a whole lot of Christian non-magical fantasy.

I’d love to hear more about them! Which is your current main project? What’s your protagonist like? What’s the setting?

Hehe, dangerous questions.  Never know when I might stop.

HoG, WoS, and SoF are a trilogy, but I am trying to write HoG first, so I suppose that’s my main WIP.

I have six protagonists throughout the books, two per book. But for the first I have Zlatan and Vulkasin, twin wolf brothers. Zlatan is of a quiet, pensive older brother who gets a lot of trouble he didn’t ask for. Vulkasin is cocky, a bit of a rascal, with a grin that can never quite be vanquished. (My characters are all animals in clothing btw.)

The setting for HoG (it changes per book to a different kingdom in this world): Volkovia, the northbound kingdom which stretches from sea to sea. Ice and snow take up all the far north, while the extreme south has places that can get over a hundred degrees in summer. Highly influenced by 9-14th century Slavs, the kingdom is made up of several powerful tribes all under one king…who happens to be the son of a usurper.

And that was probably more than you ever wished for. Apologies.

I think I would choose the horse just because it would be for life, but then I also like the dragon so…I can’t decide.

What’s your cat’s name, what are they like? Tell me all about it!

We have two cats, one of which (Joyce) has claimed my brother, the other of which (Jasper) likes us girls so he’s kinda ours. He’s a bit…moody. If he’s not sleeping then he’s either a wide eyed grump with claws, or a cuddly fluff ball.

XD

@rose-everdeen Hello and nice to meet you.

I… honestly don’t know what colors my writing would be… for my comic… probably red and white. As for my fanfics between me and @freedomwriter76 (my sister), a whole bunch of colors(?) ask her. My personal fanfics are probably greens and blues for my first one and black, red, orange, and green (It’s an idea where there is an alternate universe where Bowser from Super Mario finally takes over the Mushroom Kingdom 0_0)

What are the sports anime you watch?
@rose-everdeen

Thank you so much! I love both my projects so much, and I’m having just the best time on them! Gilded Blood is just my personal learning project, but MoS may end up being my debut 👀 I have nothing completely decided yet though, for now i’m just messing around with it for my own fun XD

Ohhh, that’s awesome!! Haha yes! I think doing it just for fun is a great idea because it takes the pressure off. 😉 (At least mostly, I’d hope XDD)

Oh that’s such a pretty color! I can just instantly see the ✨aesthetic✨ of it! That sound so fun! What’s your WIP about? I’d love to hear more about it! What time period is it set in? Hmm, let me see! If I had to answer for my writing in general, I’d say a dark, rich burgondy. It’s both bright and dark, classic without being boring and goes with a lot of others! If I had to answer for my WIP’s specifically, GB is shimmering gold, poppy red, sky blue, and streaks of bright aquamarine! MoS is dark forest green, misty gray, chocolate brown, with streaks of ballet-slipper pink and blood red veins! (That was so specific XD)
Thank you!!!! Yes!! 😀 My current WIP is about a seamstress who loves piano and an ex-WWII soldier, and it’s set in 1947 London in the autumn. It’s been so much fun to write! I’m still on the first draft but I plan to finish it by this November. Oooo, those are lovely colors! I LOVE how specific that was!!

@rose-everdeen *starts to brush pink glitter off* *decides it’s more fun to leave it on* YES YOU DID!!! 🥰🥰 Mostly? Ummm should I still be worried?

You’re welcome! *smiles* Thanks! <3 I really really want to get started on KoF but I must finish my WIP – I made myself a deal along the lines of I can start writing KoF if I finish my sequel by the end of this week….

I’m glad you could see those vibes I kind of came up with my WIP ones on the the spot XD

@saraina. You are so welcome!!! WWII and a little after is most certainly my favorite time period, and I’ve also been reading a lot of Historical Romance lately. 🙂 If you ever wanna talk about your WIP, I’ll listen! 🥰🥰🥰

@freedomwriter76 Oooh, that’s awesome!!! Yay!! I’ve always been soooo interested in that time period, so I’m having tons of fun writing it, even though the historical research may just kill me. *sighs* I have even more respect for historical fiction authors now that I know what it’s like to write that kind of stuff. XD Awww, thank you so much! I’ll keep that in mind! 😉

@saraina. Yes, it’s a lot of work, but worth it in the end. 😉 Well…that is…unless you’re a History nerd like me and have fun researching. 😂 Yes, you always have more respect for them once you start writing it. 😂 You’re sooo welcome! 🥰

@freedomwriter76 AMEN! Ooh, you like history? That’s so awesome! The research is so much fun, lol… maybe a little too fun, because then I get into a million rabbit trails when all I needed to know was what a telephone looked like… *buries my face into a pillow* XDDD (The only thing I don’t like about researching is when I can’t find a certain fact I need to know. 😉 )

@saraina. I sure do! 😉 History is my favorite subject and…girl…I research for fun. 😂 Oh my gosh, YESSS!!!! And then you realize you’ve wasted, like, an hour or more researching. 🤣🤣🤣 (Yes, that’s always AWFUL!!! Like, I can’t find much of anything about the Training SS officers had to go through. 🤷‍♀️)

@freedomwriter76 😀 I love that!!! History is one of my favorite subjects too!!! So, so fascinating. 😀 THE STRUGGLE IS REAL. 🤣 Oh, poor you! That really is annoying. (Does that mean you’re writing a WWII story too??!!! 👀😄) Lol, right now, I’m devouring all the info I can about houses and flats in 1940s London… apparently most people aren’t very interested in that because I have to realllly dig for information. If only us writers could time travel for just a day.

Hullo there. Welcome to KP, pleasure to meet you.

Your WIP sounds very interesting, I haven’t read as many paradoxes in a single sentence like that in a while XD

Medieval period books are one of my favorite genres 😀 I really like books like Rangers Apprentice, or Falling Kingdoms.

Love the question. In general, I think my writing would be a rich brownish ivory color, perhaps with some dark red, and light oranges and yellows. For my WIP, I wanna say all of that, with white and pale teal-ish blue, like sage.

*questions:*

• If your MC had an imaginary eutopia hideaway what would it be like? (I.E. a beach where they could chill alone, a coffee shop filled with enthusiastic ppl, a rainy forest full of little critters etc.)
• What do you think your MC’s favorite books would be?
• What do you put on your toast? (If you like to eat toast :p)
• Do socks belong on chair feet?

@rose-everdeen Heyyyy there! I’m Starshiness and welcome to Kingdom Pen 🙂

WOW your projects sound AMAZING! And so organized… I’m jealous XD Ooo that’s an interesting question, I’d have to say my main WIP, an allegorical novel entitled Raven’s Quest would have to be like a foresty green and/or gold.

Ah, I love medieval history as well!! I’ve wanted to write medieval period fiction before but it’s one of those things I’ve never gotten around to doing… have you written anything in that genre?

I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious.

Hi!

(Am I aloud to say welcome, having been here for less time than you? lol)

I love the title of your story! The whole thing sounds really good.

I know nothing of medieval history but it sounds like such a fascinating topic.  I totally get having your characters yelling opinions/sulking in corners, except mine just stare at the ground awkwardly refusing to do anything. I’ve got way to many hobbies too, most of them art related. What kind of crafts do you do?

May I ask if your dragon is petable? Or… would I get my whole arm bit off if I tried?

"And so I left this world just as I had entered it. Confused."
