Loki smiled softly at Skylar’s blush.
Sure, maybe he was being bold…but that was just how he was.
Hah, he’d been known to be the one Nick, Phil, and Maria always had to keep out of trouble…and he’d broken his limbs way more than Thor ever had.
He laughed at the memories and faced Skylar with a smile, still walking outside. “I already can’t wait for the dance. Too bad it won’t get here sooner.”

He can get over it…
Paxton’s heart shriveled in embarrassment. He tucked into Lukas’ side, face heating.
Why was he such a baby?
He squeezed his eyes shut, wishing he could disappear.
They were right…they were all right. He should’ve just sucked it up…
He sniffed, wishing he wasn’t crying these stupid tears. Wishing he didn’t long for Hope’s fur in his arms.
Lukas hugged him tighter.
“Th-That wasn’t nice, Fynn!” Lukas said, stepping out with Paxton tucked into a close hug.

When Loki left, I made my way to the dining hall. I had already ate and had a great time, but I had said I would join them for lunch and then left. So if I was going to “Live life” as Loki would say then I should probably make some friends.
When I walked in I spotted them walking around.
“Hey,” I said when I reached them. “sorry for leaving you… I ran into a nice guy.” I coyld almost feel my cheeks turning red.

Fynn
Fynn rubbed the back of his neck. “Ok, ok. I’m sorry.” He looked away and rolled his eyes, making sure the fiery little kid didn’t see.
Both Lukas and the boy glared at him, not satisfied with the apology. Fynn sighed. He crouched down near the white haired boy who was clinging to Lukas, his body heaving with soft sobs.
“Hey, uh… You’re Paxton, right?” Fynn waited for a response, but none came. “I’m sorry, Paxton. I didn’t know… I just— I’m sorry. I have no excuse.” He sighed. “We started off on the wrong foot. Let’s start over, huh? My name’s Fynn.”

Riya
Riya quickly looked away when one of the boys glanced up and noticed the two girls awkwardly searching for somewhere to sit.
“Hey, there’s a few seats over here!!!” He shouted, motioning towards the empty chairs. Riya sucked in an uneasy breath, hesitating to accept the boy’s offer. New people… It’s okay, Riya. Just be yourself.
She felt Vallany give her arm a reassuring squeeze.
“Let’s go.” She mouthed.
Riya nodded.
The boy who had waved them over stood up and gave the two girls a warm smile as they approached.
“I’m Steve, this is my best friend Bucky, and this is our friend Wrecker.”
Riya smiled and waved at each boy as they were introduced. Wrecker, the one with the tail and wings returned the wave, while the third boy, Bucky, met her eyes with his bright blue ones. They twinkled with a smile, then quickly turned downwards.
“It’s nice to meet you all!” Vallaney said. “I’m Vallaney, and this is Riya. Thanks for inviting us over.”
Steve was about to reply when Skylar came striding over.
“Hey, sorry for leaving you guys all of a sudden… I ran into a nice guy.” She gave the girls a shy smile, cheeks turning a light shade of pink.
A guy? I’ll have to ask her about that later Riya thought. She patted the empty chair next to her.
“Want to join us?”

“Want to join us?” Riya asked patting the spot next to her.
“Sure!” I said trying to sound enthusiastic.
I glanced around the table, there were Vallaney and Riya, but the other people caught her eye. There was a boy with wings and a tail. A boy whose muscles made me assume that he was a teacher or senior, and then there was the boy next to him, he looked almost as strong but one of his arms was made of metal.
They looked nice but my heart had just been taken, plus I didn’t even know their age. I did notice something between Bucky and Riya.
“I’m Skylar, It’s nice to meet you,” I said shaking hands with them.
I’m Skylar, it’s nice to meet you?! why is my introduction so corny?! But the boys didn’t seem to care.

Arabella
Ara sat on her bed, still perusing over her journal, the events of earlier playing out in her mind on repeat.
The door opened, startling her thoughts. She jumped a bit, finding Ami standing in the door, looking a bit upset.
The girl’s brows crinkled and she sighed, closing the door and flopping down into her own bed, burying her face in a pillow.
Ara tilted her head, frowning. “Amidala? Is everything alright?”
Ami turned enough for her mouth to be visible and spoke, “Boy troubles…”
Ara pursed her lips in understanding, nodding her head. “Ah…I see.”
Ami rolled over, eyes wide. “Things are just a bit…confusing. You know? Emotions are so…weird.”
Ara flushed a bit, looking away. “Yes…I…I think I might understand…”
November’s face flashed in front of her. His ginger curls, bobbing excitedly, and his sweet dimples as he smiled.
Their faces drawing ever closer…
And closer…
Ara’s thoughts popped like a bubble, and she blushed a light pink, turning her attention back to Ami.
“Sometimes…it’s harder when you’ve known someone for a long time… you…you don’t want things to change.”
Ami put her chin in her hands, kicking her legs up. “You sound like you speak from experience.”
Ara chuckled, shaking her head and blushing, heat creeping up her neck. “Just…things I’ve picked up on…that’s all.” Ara smiled, “But don’t worry, Ami. Whatever’s going on, I’m sure it will work out.”
