Paxton clutched his chest, eyes widening as his heart rate increased, watching two of the boys lift one in the air, grabbing him by the collar.
They were grinning madly, seeming to enjoy it as the boy in the air paled three shades.
Paxton doubled over, feeling sick, reminded ofā¦ofā¦
He gagged.
He couldnāt stay here. This was just as badā¦just as bad as they wereā¦
For once in his life he thought heād escapedā¦gotten away fromā¦from people like that, at least during his nights.
His mind wandered to the creeping shadowsā¦the ruffling of covers and the footsteps of his familyā¦
āP-Paxton? P-Paxtonā¦ā Lukas was at his side, gently rubbing circles into his back as he continued to heave, leaning over his knees. Tears streamed down his cheeks, his body convulsing.
Where was the bathroom again?
He grabbed his mouth, whimpering as he ran to the restroom, kneeling over the commode.
He then proceeded to lose his lunch.

#ProtectSeb@whalekeeper also! Corvina didnāt mean anything by her inner comment about Cairo, she was actually stating that Cairo looked different from what she was giving off.
Corvina has been used to people being what they appear to be. And she doesnāt trust easily, but Cairo though she appeared to be a spoiled brat on the outside, her being kept screaming someone who just wanted to fix things at the moment, and Corvina actually connected with that.
