Question: Should Almarrin drive an old car, or a vehicle strangely remenecent of a humvee?
Almarrin
For a second he stared at the name, memorizing each letter. Then he made sure Hope was comfortable on the bench outside the nurse’s office.Ā It was dark inside; apparently the nurse had gone home already. Rhaich. He hit the call button.
It rang for a second then-
“Hi!” A voice much younger than he’d hoped, but with what he had seen of the adults in this girl’s life…maybe that was a good thing.
“Is this Ruben Bauman?” (I don’t remember his last name very well)
Ruben tensed. “Yes, who is this?”
“Almarrin Woden. I found Hope, right after her father did. She’s stable, but needs to go to the hospital. We’re at the nurse’s office. How fast can you come up to the school? Three minutes?”
“Uh, I’ll try.” The voice sounded pale and shaky. “Is she…okay?”
“She’ll be fine.”
“I’m coming.”
The phone hung up. Almarrin handed it back to the lass with a small smile. “He’s coming.”
Her eyes were big again, but the words seemed to bring relief. “I need…the hospital?”
He nodded. And looked back at the closed office door. “That cut needs a few stitches.”Ā At least.Ā He’d have already ‘opened’ that door, if it wasn’t for the security cameras at either end of the hall. Some of the methods he typically used weren’t exactly appreciated. Still, if it came to it, he would.

@koshka. I think that’s up to you…but a humvee-like vehicle would be kinda cool, not gonna lie. XD

Ami watched as Ev introduced himself to the girl. She nudged him. They needed to be on their way if they were going to make it in time.

Hunter and Omega
āIām an only child. My house gets very quietā¦thatās one reason why I love hanging out with friends. I love my parentsā¦but with no siblings, itāsā¦really quiet.ā Eva explained.
Omega’s eyes widened. āNo siblings!? Wow! I canāt even imagine! What about you, Ezra?ā
“My house can get loud, mostly around holidays. I have five siblings, four of them older than I am and in college or starting families, so theyāre out of the house, and then thereās my one-year-old sister Jane.ā Ezra told her. “And when holidays come around, all four of my older siblings come home and stay, Elijah and Mary also bring their spouses and kids, oh, and I live with both of my parents and my Granny.ā
āHis house is packed during holidays, thatās what heās saying.ā Eva smiled.
“We barely all fitā¦if extended family comes, we donāt all really fit, but we make it workā¦and I sometimes sleep in the barn with some cousins.ā Ezra smiled also, evidently reliving some of the memories.
“You have a barn?? And sometimes you sleep there?!” Omega seemed to become more and more excited with each answer. “Now I want to visit!”
Ezra laughed.
Hunter curled his tail around his leg, the smell of something good passing by his nose. “Is that ours?” he asked as he saw a large pizza being set down on the table.

Where'd I get ya this time? The liver? The kidney? I'm runnin' outta places to put holes in ya.
That’s fine! It does sound like him.
One thing though, the meetings are set for ever other school day, so Tuesday and Thursday. That’s so we can get some normal headed home for homework scenes in too. Of course, that can change if y’all want.

Paxton kept close to Ara as the threesome walked, glancing at the sun as it continued ever slowly downward. The afternoon had passed a bit, though a good chunk still remained.
Paxton smiled. Heādā¦rather enjoyed the first meeting, he had to admit.
And that with Dietrich had beenā¦.rather interesting.
He feltā¦rather nice.
Warm.
Ara turned to him with a smile. āPaxton?ā He glanced at her. āI just wanted to say Iā¦Iām proud of you.ā
The little boy blinked in shock, mouth opening into a small circle.
She laughed, a sweet sound that seemed to make the ginger beside her turn pink.
āI suppose thatās a bit odd to sayā¦but what I mean isā¦Going after Dietrich like you didā¦ā She looked ahead, āNot many would do that. Especially afterā¦well, what heās done. Even to you. I justā¦wanted to say Iām proud of you for it.ā
Paxtonās heart raced, beating violently.
P-Proud?
Of himā¦?
He stood still as the two teens continued ahead, not realizing theyād left their small companion behind to his thoughts.
Paxton looked down at his hands.
No oneā¦had ever been proud of him for anythingā¦.
āPaxton?ā He looked up, finding Ara was looking at him, concern creasing her face. The little boy grinned, looking like the boy he truly was, and ran ahead to catch up to them.
He gazed at Ara, eyes bright, heart soaring.
Heā¦heād make her proudā¦.as many times as he could! Fromā¦from then onā¦heā¦heād never let her downā¦.
Ara looked at him with a raised brow, then smiled. Laughed. She pulled him into a side hug.
Andā¦to his surprise, he didnāt flinch in the slightest.

Hope needed him.
The meeting was ending anyways.
He’d already told Leo, and Leo said they’d get to the school as fast as possible.
Everyone began to say goodbye, and Reuben glanced over at Leo.
Leo nodded and smiled. “Yeah, we’re gonna go. Alec, Julius, we have a friend that needs us…are you two gonna head home…or Alec, are you going to text Uncle Himmler and have him pick you up?”
Alec bit his lip before slowly nodding. “Yeah…I think I’ll text him…where are all of you going?”
“We’re heading to the school. We need to help out Reuben’s new friend Hope.”
Alec nodded. “Be careful out there.”
“Hey…I may go with Alec…honestly, I think I’ve used my arm and foot a little too much already today…plus, I’d slow all of you down.” Joshua said with a small chuckle.
Reuben smiled. “Stay safe.”
And they said a few final goodbyes, before he, Leo, Wolfgang, and Dietrich were outside, running and rushing back towards the school.
Let her still be there, let her still be there,Ā Reuben thought, running as fast as he could.
Riker
Riker walked outside, Angelina at his side.
Angelina skipped and grinned. “Aren’t you glad we came!?”
Riker smiled softly and nodded.
He actually was.
“Yeah, Ang, I am. Thank you for convincing me. I’ll text Mama and ask if she’s ready to come pick us up.”
Angelina nodded and smiled. “I can’t wait for the next meeting!”
Riker grinned. “Me neither.”

@freedomwriter76 So in the stories that my brother and I make up, Hunter (as an adult) and his family actually do own a farm, so…That could totally be part of why Omega is so interested in Ezra’s life??

āSure is. Dig in, yāall.ā Ezra told him.
“So what do you guys like to do, other than this?” Omega asked him, a few minutes later. The only problem was that her mouth was stuffed, so it sorta came out all muffled.
Hunter hid his face in his wings to hide his snickering, but regained his bearings. “Omega! Please don’t talk with your mouth full.”
“Oh…sorry.” his sister replied. She repeated the question, this time without food in her mouth, and added, “Where do you live? I assume it’s somewhere out in the country….?”
(i have to get off now so if you reply I’m not likely to continue until tomorrow)
