Well then, you’re much less responsible for torture than me, lol. I still haven’t found anyone who’s done the same things I’ve done.
I like the line work on that panel, verrry nice.

well since you’ve already been spoiled, I’ll explain: Crosshair saves another trooper’s life, but the Empire isn’t willing to help him and leaves them both to die in the freezing cold. so Crosshair’s just like “forget this” and decides to defect from the Empire (finally).
Not before he nearly freezes and the other guy dies saving him from an avalanche though.

April 30, 2025 at 1:26 pm #202229🤣 I figured Crosshair would go through something like that since you like him so much

April 30, 2025 at 1:28 pm #202232@whalekeeper haha! I’m decently nice to my characters…..sometimes. There’s torture on the menu, but it’s not always.
I like the line work on that panel, verrry nice.
my brain: he just got SHOT and is BLEEDING OUT IN A FLOODING UNDERWATER FACILITY and you’re commenting on the LINEWORK????
jk I love the linework too and have tried to replicate it before actually

Having no emotional connection to Sniper, my eyes immediately go to the art technique. I’m heartless. XD

April 30, 2025 at 1:34 pm #202236Graphic novel artists are the goat, for real. I don’t know how they do it.

April 30, 2025 at 1:34 pm #202237ok but looking at it even closer you can see little shockwaves from the bullets right before they strike his belly/chest. That’s DETAILED.

LOL!
it’d be weirder if you did have an emotional connection to him with no prior knowledge of what’s going on.

April 30, 2025 at 1:53 pm #202245since I explained Crosshair’s situation though I’ll explain his:
he was just betrayed by his own family. He was adopted, although his adoptive parents are dead, and when he met his biological parents they were literally just like “nope” and ditched him within like an hour, leaving him and the rest of his team alone in a broken down underwater facility near New Zealand.
A submarine shows up, and he’s the first to get close to it, thinking it’s the one his team came in, that his father stole, and that maybe his dad had a change of heart and decided to go back and rescue them after all. Only for him to realize far too late that it belongs to their enemies, and the enemy sniper has a rifle trained on him.
Cue the panel I showed you.
