It’s only been a few days. I think it would help to find some good conflict. Can’t think of what.

November 3, 2024 at 10:31 pm #189058This is true 😖 And since Dante doesn’t actually belong in the school, you could also deal with the mess of him pretending to be a student

November 3, 2024 at 10:32 pm #189059I’m not sure either, but it’s an idea. We need more of those.

November 4, 2024 at 7:55 am #189076I was wondering the same thing.
I still have Agents prowling around if they would be helpful…………

Suddenly, Dante remembered why he was talking to these two in the first place. He had planted the evidence and the boy was looking at him suspiciously. There was no reason to stick around.
“Well, nice talking to you. Gotta go now. I’ve got, uhh… homework.” With that, he sprinted off.
He found the rest of the Society waiting close by in a basketball half court around the back of the school. They sat and leaned around the hoop, keeping everyone else from using it. A couple other students stood on the side, shouting complaints.
Dante approached his friends with a large grin.
“I planted some evidence in that girl’s pocket. Not sure what else we need to do to frame them, but my part is done.”
He sat down in the middle of the court and stared up at the flaming pinata with a content smile.
A basketball was thrown from the sidelines and hit his leg.

November 5, 2024 at 9:15 am #189200the Society is literally sending flaming ballons in the sky 🫤 if you want some epic conflict keep throwing basketballs at their legs and see what happens loopy 🙂
Johnny
The basketball probably didn’t hurt Dante, but Johnny could see that Slick took it as a personal insult. “Hey, shorty!” he yelled.
The kid who had thrown the basketball, an overconfident middle schooler, crossed his arms. “Hey shorty yourself!”
Slick’s face twisted into an evil grin. “You picked the wrong people to mess with! Haven’t you heard of the infamous Society?”
The boy tried to sneer but just flashed his braces. “No. You made that up just now, I’ll bet.”
Slick’s face turned bright red and he started jumping up and down. “Haven’t heard of us?!” he shouted. “Well, by golly you’re going to hear about us now! Come on, El Burro, we have work to do!”
“Cool your self, Senor!” El Burro called after him, as Slick barreled towards the boy. El Burro shrugged. “Very well. Another chance to work my fists.” He rubbed his hands together eagerly, and they made a cracking sound. He followed Slick.
Meanwhile, the catcalling boy’s cockiness had disappeared, and he was fleeing, deserted by his friends. Slick was chasing hard. The boy was fast, but Slick was faster. He grabbed him by the shirt collar. The boy screamed like a girl.
Kate
“I think that cyclopes is hiding something,” Brian muttered. “They’re always evil in the stories.”
“Dante doesn’t look like he’s from any of the– what’s going on?” I stopped when the shouting started. Brian’s hand was on his sword hilt.
When the slick-haired boy started chasing the smaller boy, Brian lept after them. I followed, unhitching my satchel from my shoulder to use. “No! You stay back, Kate!” Brian yelled. “It’s not safe!” He drew his sword and charged.

Speaking of conflict, those flaming balloons are going to loose altitude at some point and it is currently right next to the school…

At first, Dante watched the scene with mild interest, as one might watch a couple ants fighting on their sidewalk. As the seconds passed, though, he grew more concerned. And when Brian came charging into view, sword in hand, Dante jumped to his feet.
“Oi! Cool it! All of you!” He chased after them.
Dante arrived just a few paces before Brian. Slick had already gotten a few punches in before Dante grabbed him by the shoulder.
“Alright I think he gets the idea now, Slick. Let him go. We’ve got bigger problems.” He glanced back at Brian.
