Should he tell this very random person anything? He was pretty much a stranger, but he finished the statement anyways, “My former leaders… they thought it- it was offensive or dis- disrespectful if I… s- spoke at all… so, li- like I said, it- it depends which ones you mean.”
What also made a difference was Astro’s definition of “leaders” and “authorities.” Although Navin was pretty sure his answers would’ve stayed the same in any case.

The tall woman looked at Alpha and Rax, who had stopped talking. Marcel could swear she raised an eyebrow under the mask. “Whichever one of you is Alpha Grath, please explain what happened.”

“I am Alpha Grath. I was returning from giving something to my sister when I heard a man saying something to a student. Something along the lines of coming with him somewhere I think, I didn’t pay much attention to what he said, only the way he said it. He was acting creepy, and the student, named Silvia, clearly didn’t know him. So I threw a knife at the man to warn him to back off. We ended up engaging in combat, in which he stabbed me in the left side of my chest, and I non-fatally wounded him as well. He called for back up and more men arrived. While they had me cornered, he put a knife to Silvia’s throat, so I stabbed him in the artery. He died within a few minutes.”
Sorry if some of the events are off, I don’t remember everything.

“Thanks, uh I wasn’t sure if the leaders were as uhhh… how could I put it…” Astro was trying to think if a word to say. “sensitive” He said in a hushed voice.
Astro was standing there for awhile, awkwardly, wondering what to say… what to do.
“Well uh um it was nice meeting you, but I really got to get going.” Astro started heading down the hall when he quickly turned around again. “Hey do you uh know which way do I need to go to uh… check in?”

The woman nodded and turned her attention. “Did you see this happen, Marcel?”
The winged boy looked up at her incredulously. “You know who I am?”
“To make it easy: who among the catalog of students do you think I would know about the most?”
“Ha, okay… I didn’t see the fight happen. These guys were chewing each other out when I got there. But the dead man looked like the guys who attacked me earlier. They tried to kidnap a child. Right now, a couple of them are hanging out on the roof.”
The woman clucked her tongue, and footsteps began hurrying away in the hall next to the lobby.
“So,” she crouched down to where the guys sat, “let’s settle this. I’m Ms. Barnes, your new English teacher, counselor, and school resource officer.”
Three jobs at once? Barnes didn’t seem like a person who easily failed.
“No one has murdered anyone,” the pale woman continued, “but this can’t keep happening. Either you boys get along, or more people get hurt without substantial reason. I need you to choose the peaceful routes. Understood?”
