Oh dear, my MP3 just played a song called “could I have this dance?” And I just lost my sanity.
"You need French Toast."

Saoirse considered a moment. “Saoirse, and I have no idea. And I’m no warrioress.”

“Every Maiden over the age of fourteen amd under twenty is a Young Warrioress in my culture. I am a Young Warrior by one year. Do you prefer to be called ‘mi’ lady’? Or ‘maiden’ maybe? What is your title in your culture, Saoirse?” His voice was strangely sweet and pleasant.
"You need French Toast."
#AnduthForever (hopefully đź’•)January 21, 2024 at 9:02 pm #173989He’s acting serious! It feels almost wrong! He’s acting like he’s supposed too!

“People like me don’t get titles.” Saoirse said flatly, “I could hardly matter less to the people with power.”

January 21, 2024 at 9:25 pm #173991“Really? You seem to matter to me, and I’m considered a man of power. I give you the title of Maiden Warrioress.” He smiled. “Shall we dance? What style do you prefer, Maiden Warrioress?”
"You need French Toast."

The corner of Saoirse’s mouth quirked up momentarily into a half-smile. “Anything that’s not boring, preferably with minor risk of injury.” She said.

January 21, 2024 at 9:42 pm #173993“Anything that’s not boring? I’m afraid I only know the lively dances of my people, which, I’m sure, you cannot do.” Despite his attempts to hide it, the small, sneaky smile returned.

Babs
The demon, already bubbling like exploding bread dough from the stabs, zeroed in on Felicity. “A deal?”
“Fel, no!” Babs shook her head wildly. She couldn’t tell if the girl actually meant to distract or make a real deal – her mind worked too slowly for that. But she knew one thing. “It’ll sweet-talk you into anything!”
The demon’s limb eased off Chase a little. Its liquid-like skin rippled, dropping the sword on the floor, but not without a weakened rattle. It didn’t look much different, but it was tired out already. Hungry. “Would you like to help someone you love? Perhaps… a close young man.”
Babs winced. She didn’t know Felicity’s relationship with Lois well enough, so the demon’s words could be hit or miss as far as she was concerned.
The dense magic shifted in Fel’s direction and blew up into her hair, turning it a strange ash color.
Calvin
Although he cared very much about what was happening with the demon, Cal couldn’t help but be fascinated with Rina and the masked thing. After all, all he could do was offer the release spell when it was needed.
The creature, punched repeatedly in the face, began to yell in a high, distressed tone. Whatever it yelled did not sound human, but yet…
“Hold,” Calvin called. He rushed over. Rina paused, fist frozen and covered in blunt crystals.
It wasn’t a creature at all, but some ink-skinned girl, in a bird mask and with a mass of hair over her eyes. She hissed, rather like a demon, and tried to lunge at Rina again.
“That’s no full demon,” Cal observed as Rina grew more crystals around the girl’s chest, like a straight jacket. “She’s some kind of servant, or slave. Whatever the case, when I remove Mars’ headband, I’ll put it on her.”
The masked girl shouted into Rina’s face, showering spit. “YOU STINK!”

My name in real life is a palindrome. A short one – Hannah – but a palindrome nonetheless. :]

No, you’re good. This is fun, and she’s asking for trouble anyway XD

Oh, cool! Hannah is a pretty name.
@rae @jonas @savannah_grace2009Disclaimer, I guess: I have no idea what Felicity is doing and neither does she.
Felicity
The distraction worked, though not in the way Felicity thought it would.
The demon’s many eyes rolled until they all were focused on her.
“A deal?”Â
The monster liked deals, apparently. She had planned on following up the offer of a deal with some witty one-liner, but she wasn’t smart enough, and the moment had passed.
“Fel, no! It’ll sweet-talk you into anything!” Babs shouted.
Felicity wondered how something with that ugly of a face could sweet-talk anyone into anything. But the fear in Babs’ voice made her wary.
“Would you like to help someone you love? Perhaps… a close young man.”
Suddenly, a warm cloud washed over Fel and she drooped. Everything in the world seemed to drift away except for the demon’s words. She blinked rapidly, trying to get her eyes back in focus.
“Lois? He doesn’t need my… me…”
She shook her head. “Wait. Are… are you threatening him?”
The sudden spark of anger burned away some of the fog in her mind and she took a shaky step forward.

Saoirse narrowed her eyes. “You realize you’re being very suspicious,” She said. “But since you have essentially just issued a challenge, I accept.”

He chuckled, his cheeks flushing. “I wouldn’t say scary… I’m just not as bold as most people.” He didn’t feel like telling her he was worried she’s say no.
