Dietrich
Adolphus yelled as the ice met him.
“Adolphus!? Are you alright!?” Dietrich yelled.
“Yeah. I’m fine. He just got my left arm. I’m fine.” Adolphus replied gruffly, standing from where he had fallen.
Dietrich glared at Hunter. “You’ll pay for that, you stupid dragon.” He snarled.
“Go on ahead. Try me.” Hunter challenged; eyes narrowed.
“Who do you think you are!?” Adolphus yelled.
“Hah, funny, I was about to ask the same question.”
Dietrich muttered a curse beneath his breath, just as Adolphus lunged for Hunter again.
Hunter got out of the way, however, and Adolphus ran into a locker with a thud.
Adolphus needed to use his brain…no matter how small it was.
Suddenly, Dietrich caught something out of the corner of his eye.
Jakob.
His stepbrother glared, and, noticing he was caught, stepped forward. “Hey, leave him alone!”
Dietrich smiled. “It’s a little late for that, dear brother…”
And he moved fast.
He grabbed Jakob and pulled him into his arms, turning to face Hunter, his arm, hard, against Jakob’s neck.
Jakob gasped for air, and tried to get away, but Dietrich held him tighter. “Leave us alone, Hunter, dragon boy, or he gets it.”
Aadelheide
Aadelheide set the final piece of her lunch down. “My English class was very enjoyable, but I also love English, so, not a surprise. My least favorite is Math…it’s just so confusing, you know!?”
Eira continued to watch, so Aadelheide continued, “And most of it isn’t even used in normal life! But, since I have to take it, I will do so. It’s only right. And some of it I will use…so…I guess it’s okay. Have to be grateful for everything.” She smiled brightly, before she noticed something.
“OH! I’m so sorry! I haven’t even given you a chance to talk! My bad…sorry…my brother says I can talk someone’s head off sometimes…” She smiled shyly. “What’s your favorite subject, Eira?”
Riker
Heat instantly rushed to his cheeks.
Arabella and November hadn’t met Iris…which meant they wanted to know about her…
“Ooh….” Erich said with suggestive eyebrows, and Riker shoved him almost off his seat.
“Iris is my tutor. Just helps out with a few subjects that I struggle with…and she’s just a good friend.”
“And Riker’s crush. You know, you two should just commit and become boyfriend and girlfriend already.” Erich mused.
Riker elbowed him again.
What a nuisance.
Arabella and November both smiled, though both of their cheeks were still slightly pink.
“Oh, it’s not as scary as you think.”
Riker looked up to see Eva, standing beside the table, Ezra beside her, lunch tray in hand. She smiled warmly. “May we sit here with all of you?”
Arabella nodded. “Of course! We still have plenty of room!”
“Thank you.” Eva thanked, sitting down. Ezra sat beside Erich, and Eva sat on his other side.
“But we all know all Erich wants is to commit too…to being Ellie’s boyfriend.”
Erich shoved Ezra in the side.
Ezra smirked and chuckled, taking a bite of his sandwich.
Leo
They all teased and played around with each other.
Arabella and November liked each other.
Riker liked Iris. Erich liked Ellie. And Ezra and Eva were already boyfriend and girlfriend, so obviously, they liked each other.
He and Almarrin were the only ones who stayed quiet.
Leo finished his lunch. There was still some time until his next class, but he needed a bit of time to study.
Guess he was heading to his locker.
“Alright, I’m done, guys. I’m going to go get ready for class.”
“It still isn’t starting for a while,” Eva pointed out, “you can still stay.”
Leo smiled faintly. “I-I have a few things I need to do first. See you guys later.”
And he left, leaving the lunch tray somewhere where the lunch people could get it.
He left the cafeteria, and stopped.
Jakob?
“Jakob!” He cried, just as Adolphus grabbed his arm, pulling him over.
Adolphus gripped his shoulders. “Look, Leo, we’re trying to teach this dragon boy a lesson…he’ll decide if Jakob is released or not depending on what he does.”
“Let him go.” Leo snarled.
Adolphus laughed and gripped his shoulders tighter. “Oh, but Leo, I think you forgot already…you can’t stop us…”
Leo looked up at his oldest stepbrother, at the slow, cruel, sadistic smile on his face.
“…you made an agreement.”
Joshua
“It’s okay, Paxton…you don’t have to go…” Joshua said softly, resting his hand on Paxton’s shoulder, reassuring him.
He saw Aramis glancing their way, but he ignored him.
“Wolfgang…Reuben…do you two want to come with me…?”
“Yeah!”
“Reuben…?”
Reuben paused, before he slowly nodded. “Y-yeah…c-can I see the flyer for a second?”
Joshua raised an eyebrow but nodded. “Yeah. Of course.”
He handed it over, and Reuben took a picture with his phone. “Okay. Got it.” He handed back the flyer, and Joshua raised both eyebrows.
“What did you need a picture for…?”
“I’m going to invite the…friend I made yesterday…”
“The girl?”
Reuben’s cheeks flushed pink, and he slowly nodded. “Y-yeah….Hope…”
Joshua smiled. “Invite everyone you can think of, Reuben, I’m off to talk to Leo.”
But he couldn’t see him anywhere.
“Leo…?” He whispered. Maybe he was out of the cafeteria already?
What if…he got into trouble…?

Arabella
A small smile lit on Ara’s face as the group began to tease Erich, turning the tables back on him. The boy playfully shoved Ezra aside, making him laugh.
Leo had left, presumably to get in a bit of studying in before class, or perhaps to find his brothers.
Ara looked around the table, watching Eva and Ezra interact with each other. Laughing and smiling.
She glanced at her hands.
Just like Lyn and Grimm…
She nervously twirled a strand of hair around her finger, chancing a look at November, who was listening to the conversations with a dimpled smile, cheeks still red from earlier.
Truth was…
It wasn’t that she didn’t want that kind of relationship with November…
In fact…it was all she wanted….
She…she loved him immensely.
More then…more then she could even say.
She had for years now…
But…
She looked back at tray of now half-eaten food.
She just…didn’t want to risk what they already had. Their friendship. The love they both shared already…
If they made things…. Official, like Lyn and others always teased…
If she really confessed that she liked him as more then a friend…
Would they lose everything?
Or gain everything?
She wasn’t sure.
The last thing she’d ever want to do is hurt November. He’d already been hurt so many times before.
And if this broke their friendship…
She shook her head. Ah…thoughts like that were troublesome….

I stare at her for a long moment untill the mild shock wears off and my eyes drop back to the half eaten jello cup. “Astronomy.”
Stars. My hand itches to find the book in my backpack and loose myself among them, but I swallow the last glob and ask what a brother’s like. If she’s talking I don’t have to, and besides; I sort of like her talk. It sounds so happy and bubbly.

“What is a brother like?”
Aadelheide grinned brightly. “Well, for me, it’s amazing!!! Abelard has always been sweet and kind. He protects me when he needs to, but isn’t overprotective like some brothers can be! And he’s never once hurt me. He’s always funny and knows exactly how to cheer me up when I’m down! I’d never trade him for the world, even when he teases me about my crush…” Her cheeks slightly flushed pink by the end of that, so Aadelheide changed the subject back to Abelard, “and he’s always there for me whenever I need him. But what about you, Eira? Do you have any siblings?”

yup….so I’m just gonna say that Nyx agreed to go with Lyn for one day…at the least. Cuz I rlly don’t feel like rewriting that. It was cute tho lol.
