“Yep. I’m the middle child. Which is obvious to anyone who knows me.” He chuckled. “I have an older brother and a younger one.” He paused for a moment. “Oh, and by the way, my name’s Everton. Feel free to call me Ev.” He stuck out his hand to give the boy a firm handshake.

Fynn grabbed Chase’s elbow. Chase tensed, slightly pulling away, but Fynn led him to something that said “pizzeria”.
“Well, my boy, you must find out. Teenagers eat pizza. If you don’t eat pizza, then it’s like not being a teenager. There’s no time to waste.” He ran and got in line, pulling Chase with him. It took them only a few minutes to get their “pizza” and find a place to sit. Fynn took a piece out of the box and plopped it onto Chase’s plate. “Alright. Dig in and tell me what you think.” Chase looked shocked and confused..
“O-okay, how do I eat it?”
“You just pick it up.” Chase shakily picked up the triangular piece and took a bite, nervous to have Fynn watching him. After he swallowed he replied quietly.
“I-it’s odd. I-I never have had something quite like it. I like it.” He took another bite to show Fynn he did. It still felt awkward, though.
"You need French Toast."
Sorry this kinda contradicts your last rp, but @whalekeeper and I were thinking of having them meet up with Hugo, and I think the horse has moved on without us lol

As they strolled out of the mall, Dante looked back over his shoulder to once again see an empty lot. He half smiled. The mall had been fun, but there wasn’t much left for him to do there after catching the pixie.
He glanced back ahead. In front of them, leaning on a lamppost, watching the two boys, was someone Dante recognized. He grinned. Then, he cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted “Who’s the stalker now!?” across the street at Hugo.“Nothing says autumn like slurpin’ apples.” -my uncle

Tech smiled back at him. “All right, I’ll refer to you as Ev from now on. My name’s Tech. My siblings named me. We never knew any family besides, well, us.” He curled his tail around his legs. “I enjoy creating things, experimenting with technology. So it seemed like a natural choice.”
I feel like they’re going to be good friends from now on. I don’t know why.

Chase tensed and pulled his shoulder away slightly. Fynn got the message and withdrew his hand. He grabbed a piece of pizza, chomping into it. “So this is your first time eating pizza,” Fynn mused. “I don’t know how you survive.”

“Cool.” He grabbed a tux from the rack. “I think I found the one. I’m going to try it on real quick.” He disappeared into the dressing room and threw the tux on. Pleased with how he looked, he put it back on the hanger and exited. “I think I know what I want,” he told Tech. “I’m gonna check out and then go get some lunch. I think I’m meeting up with the girl I’m taking to the dance, but you can join us if you’d like.”

“So this is your first time eating pizza. I don’t know how you survive.” Chase finished his first slice and haltingly reached for another, his movements and eyes seeming to ask permission from Fynn every second.
“I-I didn’t – ” Actually, for most of his life he had gone hungry, sometimes he almost reached the point of starvation. “I lived in a poor part of Shyton, never actually been in a restaurant except a holiday and with, with some of my…my foster families.” Eating in a public place was kinda new to him. Suddenly he remembered something one of his foster parents had said. He stopped eating and looked up at Fynn.
“Am I… is it rude to wear a hood while eating in public?”
"You need French Toast."
“So, uh, y-you like t-to eat?” Lukas asked. He kicked himself. That came out sounding much worse than it sounded in his head. He wished he could take it back, but could do nothing. So he stood there with a pained expression, waiting for Liv’s reply.

“So, uh, y-you like t-to eat?”
Liv stared blankly at him, but she couldn’t keep eye contact for more than two seconds without her pulse pounding in her ears and her cheeks growing hot.
“Um…” she began, but just then something pushed her right into Lukas. The two tumbled to the floor, Liv landing square on top of Lukas.
Liv was mortified. Scrambling off of him, cheeks burning, eyes filling with tears of embarrasment, she whirled around to face Xandro, who was looking extremely proud of himself. How Liv wanted to wipe that “horsey” smirk off his face. Instead she stared up at the ceiling, tears pooling in her watery blue eyes, humiliated.

Fynn shrugged. “I don’t know. If you want people to avoid you, then sure. If you want to look friendly and approachable, then… probably not.” He hoped he didn’t come across at too blunt or rude. He was just giving Chase the facts.

Lukas pushed himself off the ground slowly, honestly shocked. He looked towards Livia, but noticed Xandor behind her. He seemed quite pleased with himself.
His cheeks still burning from embarrassment, Lukas cleared his throat and gently touched Liv’s shoulder. “Hey, um… it wasn’t your fault.” He offered her a lopsided smile, quickly pulling his hand away and shoving it into his pocket.

Chase nodded and pulled his hood down lower so his eyes were hidden completely.

Fynn cocked his head as Chase pulled his hood down lower. Huh… so Chase wanted people to avoid him. Fynn could tell that this was more than a joke, or simply Chase having a bad day. This was something deeper than the surface. He wanted to ask, but he restrained himself. If Chase wanted to share anything, then he could share in his own time.
The conversation fell into an awkward lull until Callista came over with a smile on her face and placed herself right next to Fynn. “So were you guys able to find anything to wear to the dance?”
Fynn shrugged. “I think so. As long as you approve.”
Callie laughed her full, melodic laugh. “I’m sure it will be fine. What about you Chase?”
He didn’t answer right away. Callie frowned. “You are coming to the dance, right? I mean, if you don’t want to, then that’s fine. But it’d be really fun if you could.”
Fynn cast Callie a questioning glance. Did she just invite Chase to go to the dance with them? Okay, maybe it wasn’t that big of a deal, but for some reason Fynn felt odd about it. He looked to Chase for his answer.

“Who’s the stalker now!?”
The cyclops boy – the speaker – and several other students had reappeared in the street.
“I’m just hanging around.” With half-lidded, smoldering bronze eyes, Hugo swung slowly around the post.
When the cyclops’ one eyebrow tilted with suspicion, Hugo swung in his direction, and pulled his jacket open to display a white dress shirt and no weapon to speak of. “No, really, for once in my life I am not operating as a stalker. I was just curious… about what you kids were…?”
“Everything is a mountain”
“Hey, um… it wasn’t your fault.” He offered her a lopsided smile, quickly pulling his hand away and shoving it into his pocket.

“I-I don’t know. I have something to wear, but I-I don’t dance.” He shivered, his body still tense. The thought of someone touching him was not welcome. “I-if I come, I’ll just stand in the back, if you don’t mind.”

““Hey, um… it wasn’t your fault.” she felt a touch on her shoulder, and saw Lukas’s breathtaking smile, before managing a quick smile of her own. To her surprise, she was able to keep the tears at bay long enough to push past Lukas and Xandro and walk off to find a bathroom. She couldn’t risk any waterfalls of emotions, not in front of Lukas, not in front of anyone.
Liv didn’t hear Xandro following her, and she was glad of it.
She wanted to be alone. She wanted to have a good cry for a couple minutes, and maybe she’d be fine with facing them again.
