Might work. Idk, it still doesn’t seem Chase to suddenly need to dance. I guess so.

@rae I mean whatever it’s your character if you don’t feel he needs to shake a leg that’s fine (might wanna keep him out of the hall while my fisfaeren are doing their number, but that won’t be the whole time)
November 25, 2023 at 7:46 pm #166940I’ll see how Chase grows in that time, I mean, he’s already grown tremendously. Thank you for the offers!

November 26, 2023 at 1:14 pm #167031or we could kill Fynnor Fynn could go on a trip or something🤣
I don’t know why I find that so funny. That’s like, not healthy. 😂
I don’t approve of him getting killed, but I also don’t mind a little drama between my charries. Fynn could have to leave or something before the dance, then comes back and finds out that Callista went to the dance with Chase. 🫢 That could be fun… 😏 Especially since Callie would look at it like being nice to a friend and Fynn might freak out a little bit. (I actually don’t know how he’d react tbh….) Whatever y’all wanna do, I’ll go along with it. (As long as my charries don’t die. XD)
Fynn
“I-I’ve n-never d-danced in my life. B-besides I-I have no one t-to go with,” Chase said.
Fynn shrugged. “You don’t have to go with someone specifically if you don’t want to. I know a few people who are just going with friends. Like Lukas. Unless I can get him to go with someone…” he smirked and nudged his friend in the side.
Lukas shook his head. “You can try. Doesn’t mean it’ll work.”
Lukas better look out…Chase fed Xandro sugar…and Xandro on sugar is scary…
That could get so funny!! 😂😂
Callista
“Yep. He’s done that before. I wouldn’t put it past him, since he thinks I need more friends. Once he kind of kidnapped this boy because he thought we’d be a good couple. Though, that was also when he was on a sugar high, so you never know,” Liv explained.
Callista’s eyes grew wide and she chuckled. “Um, wow. Okay. Wait, didn’t Chase feed Xandro some candy earlier…?”
Livia’s face matched Callie’s half-amused and half-woried expression. The two girls look at Xandro and he neighed.
“We’ll just have to make sure Lukas doesn’t get too close,” Callie said with a laugh.

“I-I’ll think about it.” Chase felt through the navy and black suits, feeling the fabric. Finally he pulled one out.
“W-with a blue tie like Callistas eyes, and a white dress Short, his would look good.” He said to Fynn.

“Yeah,” Liv agreed, “though that might not stop Xandro from going to Lukas.”
“Oh, dear,” Callie laughed.
“Is this the store?” Livia asked.
“Yep!” Callista said, and the three of them entered the store.
“I just hope they don’t have any restrictions on horses, because that might be a problem,” Liv whispered.

I meant shirt not short, sorry. Plus it should be this not his. The amount of typos in this one little thing!

Felicity
“Hello, girls. Can I help you?”
Felicity looked in amazement at the woman’s beautiful moth wings. They were a bluish gray, and went well with her long, dark hair.
She smiled politely at the lady. “No, we’re all right. Just… looking around.”
“Alright. Just come get me if you need anything.”
The lady smiled and then disappeared among the rows of clothing. Felicity shifted uneasily. She was starting to feel out of place here with her old, threadbare clothes and bare feet. It had been difficult to mask her amazement when they had entered the shop. She had never seen so many colors before in her life, and she wondered how one could carry around so much fabric on themselves without tripping constantly.
Babs turned to a rack and began looking through dresses, and Felicity copied her on the next rack over, unsure what she was even looking for. Hangers clacked loudly against each other.
After several minutes of wandering around the store, Babs turned to Felicity with a smile and some different dresses draped over one arm.
“Have you found something you want to try on yet?”
“Um… yeah.” Felicity reached for the closest, not too brightly colored dress, which was a beautiful dark sage green. She wasn’t sure this was what she wanted, but there was no harm in trying it.
The girls found the moth lady again, who showed them to the changing rooms. In her little booth, Felicity put on the dress and looked in the mirror.
The dress’ skirt was long, reaching below her knees in the front and the middle of her calves in the back. It had several different lacy layers which made it poof out a bit from the waistband. The top was sleeveless and had a high color. A row of decorative buttons ran from the collar to the waistband.
Felicity straightened her shoulders, trying to stand elegantly enough to fit the dress. It was her size, yet it still looked wrong compared to what she was used to. Finally, she opened the door and stepped out uncomfortably, hugging her bare arms around her middle.
“You want to know something funny?” she asked. “I’ve never worn a dress before. Or a skirt.”

November 27, 2023 at 3:02 pm #167169That’s perfectly okay girl. You take absolutely as long as you want, k? There’s no reason to write if you feel burnt out right now.
Felicity, I feel you. I was forced to shop a couple weeks back, and my mom encouraged me to hide in the sweater aisle until I stopped panicking 😅 It’s a struggle.
Babs
Babs hung up her options on the changing room rack, and turned around to see Felicity already in a dress.
“You want to know something funny?” Felicity breathed. “I’ve never worn a dress before. Or a skirt.”
A knot of nerves lay in Babs’ chest. But when she saw the flickering uncertainty in the frost girl’s eyes, it loosened.
She clicked her tongue, and gently tugged at the green dress’s waist, making a few adjustments. She brushed out the skirt before adding a small pearl pendant on Felicity’s chest, shaped like a bird. “There! Listen, sweet. Dresses make me nervous too. And sometimes they aren’t so practical.”
She put on a shaky smile. “But every girl should be a princess now and then. Now, go swish those skirts in front of a mirror while I change.”

@people
I’m still experimenting with this magic system. Sorry if it doesn’t currently make much sense.
Lois
The nurse’s office was not too far from the empty classroom in which the snack thieves had made their temporary nest. When Felicity left, Lois walked down a corridor in the opposite direction. Soon, he stopped by a door labeled “Nurse’s Office” and knocked.
The doors swung open, and he met a familiar, sweet face.
“Oh, Lois! How kind of you to stop by!”
He shrugged. “King’s orders.”
“You’re not hurt, are you?”
“No, I’m not hurt. Just checking in. Do you need help with anything?”
“Oh, no, I’m alright. Come on in.” Hana waved him inside and had him sit in a comfortable cushioned chair next to her desk. Then she bustled over to the counter, turned on the electric tea pot and started getting out mugs.
Lois watched her with a smile in his eyes. He had known Hana for over a year now, yet she still was strange to him. She appeared to be a short young girl, maybe fifteen or so, with long honey brown hair and a heart shaped face. She wore a simple skirt and blouse, like any normal girl from his world. But her eyes told a different story. They were old and golden as the sun, full of stories and wisdom, worries and hopes, joys and losses from a long past. He knew that Hana hadn’t aged for at least eighty years, maybe more. He didn’t know why, though. The weaver had many stories, yet that one she had always kept quiet.
Hana handed Lois his tea and gave him her best concerned grandmother look.
“You’re looking dim, Lois. Has that girl been pushing you into weaving spells for her again? You know you can say ‘no’ to her, right?”
Lois stared down at his tea with a soft smile. “Can I?” he muttered.
Hana pretended not to notice his comment and sat down in the armchair next to him.
“Have you been busy?” Lois asked. “I heard there was a school fight yesterday.”
Hana frowned, her warm eyes now sad and worried.
“No. No one came. There seems to be a bit of mistrust between the staff and students here. I don’t quite understand why.”
“Maybe they were just embarrassed about being in a fight,” he assured his friend. “I doubt it had anything to do with you.”
Hana sighed and her smile returned. “Oh, I do hope so.”
(kinda a sudden ending there, but here’s our new school nurse!)

November 27, 2023 at 6:34 pm #167211@calyhuge I’m not quite sure actually about what’s happening with Calligrapho and Dante. Are they joining the group with the horse? Or maybe they could encounter Hugo again on the way out if @whalekeeper wants.

November 28, 2023 at 2:53 pm #167327Fynn
“W-with a blue tie like Callista’s eyes, and a white dress shirt, this would look good,” Chase said, holding out a navy suit.
Fynn smiled. “You’ve noticed her eyes too?”
Chase suddenly looked really nervous and stuttered for something to say.
“Oh, no, I didn’t mean it in that way,” Fynn said, waving his hands back and forth in front of him. “I just thought I was the only one who had noticed how bright her blue eyes are.” He rubbed the back of his neck and smiled sheepishly. He hadn’t meant to sound accusing to Chase.
Callista
“I just hope they don’t have any restrictions on horses, because that might be a problem,” Liv whispered.
Callista shrugged as they walked into the store. The woman behind the counter bustled over to them, her black heels clicking on the floor. “Is this is a horse?”
“Um, yes?” Callie answered. Sure Xander was blue, but he was still a horse.
“Well I’m sorry, no horses allowed in the store,” she rested her hands on top of each other in front of her, her perfectly manicured nails reflecting the bright ceiling lights.
Callie glanced up at Liv to see what she would say.

“You’ve noticed her eyes too?” Uh oh, did Fynn guess that Callista was the only girl Chase really had ever liked?
“U-umm… I-I…” he couldn’t get the words out. He had defend himself somehow. If Fynn knew Chase liked Callista, would he take it as competition and start a fight?
“Oh, no, I didn’t mean it in that way,” Fynn said, waving his hands back and forth in front of him. “I just thought I was the only one who had noticed how bright her blue eyes are.” He rubbed the back of his neck and smiled sheepishly. Chase looked relieved, he wouldn’t have to fight Fynn after all. Malls were scary enough already.
“N-no, I-I j-just have a, a habit of s-studying people’s eyes. I-I d-didn’t mean a-anything by that c-comment.” He placed the suit back, and rubbed the white scar on the back of his hand. “W-what a-are you p-planning to w-wear?”
