        @calyhuge

        But a wonderful story to illustrate this point:

        Mmm, yes, fits the scenario quite well…

        @smiley

        So uh… I was checking on this page, and I stumble across your story XD

        I’m sure it was terrifying, but the way you described it was amazing

        I have never been stung by a bee, and I never plan to

        My brother actually worked with bees… but I already decided I never will

        *bows* well thank you!

        *shivers* it is not fun

        @freedomwriter76

        Oh my gosh…I’m so glad you’re okay!!!

        I would totally panic if I were in that situation…I don’t like any bugs at all XD Especially stinging ones…*shivers*

        Thanks! Me too! XD

        Ughhh, yes, same

        I rolled the log over and underneath was a tiny little stick and I was like, "That log had a child

          *Poofs back into existence*

          Sorry guys, I’m like, completely gone Sunday through Tuesday sometimes, so I hope no one died from impatience XD

          @euodia-vision

          I will forever respect you now. I have never been stung by a bee, miraculously, but I have no wish to. You have braved a challenge I have never encountered. *Raises glass*

          @calyhuge @freedomwriter76 (I think?)

          Marcel

          During the conversation, which Marcel listened to without much expression, he felt something loosen in his hand, and he glanced down.

          The warm, ruby-pink jewel had dropped off his palm. It glinted dully, cool and lifeless.

          Marcel shook his head a little, and the feathers along his broken wing went fuzzy with warmth, the joints smooth and alive again.

          He retreated his wings, until he looked like a normal boy. The splint fell off onto the floor.

          “How about you, Marcel? Any interesting sights in your home?” the new boy asked.

          Why did this boy know Marcel’s name? Hopefully he wasn’t another stalker. There were enough of those, goo-goo eyes or otherwise.

          “…Kind of. Like I said, lots of colors. Much softer and sweeter than here. I don’t get around much. I ride the trolley now and then.” Marcel fiddled with his shoe some more, almost guiltily, picking away at the edges of an old sticker. “…But when you’re immortal, like me, you misplace stuff.”

          He got a few incredulous looks, and shrugged apologetically. “Whole skyscrapers, sometimes.”

            By the way, I will be gone for a few days – to the mountains! Huzzah! 🙂 Marcel can stay, but unless he manages to interact with someone again before I leave, he will remain basically silent.

                @whalekeeper Calligripho almost did

                @euodia-vision @freedomwriter76

                Calligripho

                The young scribe laughed as the pink stone dropped out of a surprised Marcel’s hand. He reached down and picked it up. “How exciting! In Stonestia, nothing changes, not really. A neighborhood burns down, it’s rebuilt the same way; the streets are cleaned, they get dirty again; a brave man tries to start building houses outside the walls, the buildings are destroyed or dissolved by pixies. But I see you benefited from the use of Master Alchemo’s healing stone. I am glad to see you are feeling better and no longer in need of late-night visitations.”

                *  *  *

                I would have written a short response for Marcel, but I’m not sure how much he knows. Have fun in the land of black bears and mosquitos! (And raccoons. Don’t forget those raccoons who go bump in the night. Who can and will steal your trash especially if you’re tent camping.)

                  Calligripho almost did what?

                  And we shall be careful – all hamburgers will be ferociously protected by my mother XD

                  Marcel

                  Marcel blinked. “Sometimes I wonder how many people watch me sleep at night.”

                    Calligripho

                    Calligripho laughed. “Well, I’m not sure how many people do watch you sleep. I don’t. In and out, a quick job, that healing stone was. But what is the name of your homeland? I might like to visit it sometime, to see these ‘skyscrapers.'”

                            they keep getting shorter… should I be worried?

                            Calligripho

                            Flipping furiously, Calligripho searched his book. “Aha. Found it. Interesting…” He shut the book, acting as if nothing had happened. Turning to the inky boy, he asked in jest, “And from whence doth thou come from, O Inkius Maximus? From a land where squids walketh abroad, jetting their ink hither and thither?”

                                  Lois

                                  Though Lois wasn’t sure exactly what Calligripho had said, it sounded like an insult.

                                  “Excuse me?” He said, self-consciously tugging his flannel sleeve down over the drawings on his wrist.

                                  Felicity leaned forward, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

                                  “What’s a squid?”
