He had me pinned. So I did the last thing in the world I wanted to do right now. I talked.
I cleared my throat primly, and prepared to make a sophisticated defense of myself, but to no avail. It all came out in a rush of words. “My name is Princess Katonia Kate for short and I’m here because a certain brainless imp named Seb stole dangerous chemicals that he doesn’t know how to use and if I don’t stop him no one will because Brian’s gone crazy and Alchemo’s busy and I can’t trust anyone else here and if Seb keeps his chemicals he’ll blow us all to kingdom come and-” I inhaled, and paused to recover my composure. I summoned my manners, and continued.
“Look, I’m sorry I broke down the door. I didn’t think it would actually break, and I didn’t think anyone was here. Now, does that answer all your questions?” I crossed my arms and stared back at the boys with a look of forced indifference. I was still on my back, so I must have looked pretty ridiculous. I waited for their reaction.

@brian needs to get over History. He might come swooping in to deal with the bullies if he happens to be in the area. I’ll tell him to only use the flat of his sword @prince-caspian
I can’t wait to see how this all pans out. The sympathetic characters’ dorm sees a lot of action here.

Brian likely won’t have to come…they’ve just realized that she’s a girl, lol…so they’ll probably back off, and Bucky may just run for it after apologizing 😆

Bucky had mistaken this girl for a boy…and she was a princess, to top it off.
He felt his cheeks flush.
Ohhhh, this was embarrassing.
“You were chasing someone down that had chemicals?” Riker asked quietly.
“You didn’t acknowledge the fact that she’s a girl?” Wolfgang asked, bluish-green eyes wide.
“…I knew she was a girl. Did you two not?”
Bucky let out a nervous laugh. “Uh…no…” he extended a hand to Kate, “we got on the wrong foot. Can I help you stand up?”

Weeell I personally can say this much: if there’re people in front of me directly questioning me, and a kid screaming in the background, I’m most likely going to pay attention to the former
But that’s coming from the oldest of six XD Idk how anyone else would react.

The stocky boy changed his tune immediately. I said he had watermelon arms, right? Well, now his face was the color of a ripe watermelon.
“We got on the wrong foot. Can I help you stand up?” he offered.
“Thank you very much,” I returned tersly, “but I can do it very well myself.” I rose, dusted myself off, and did my best haughty impression. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a class to get to.” I whirled, and swept (I think) majestically from the scene.
Once out of sight, I sprinted. I was late for my mentor’s class! About magic rocks!

You can’t see all the pic there, but it’s an aesthetic board I made for him. I’m pretty proud of it, if I do say so myself…
As for my profile pic, it’s technically a character from an anime that a friend of mine watches, but I use it as a Seb pic. It’s not exactly what he looks like by any means, but it strongly reminds me of his story’s last scene. 😉

Katonia left the room.
Bucky rubbed the back of his neck. “That was….”
“Awkward?” Riker asked, raising an eyebrow.
Bucky bit his lip. His gaze fell on the boy on the bed. “Hey…uhm, is he okay?”
Riker turned his attention back to the small boy, and gently rubbed his shoulder. “I don’t know…Paxton, are you okay?”

Paxton
He’d calmed down now; no longer sobbing or screaming his head off. Instead, he just lay, curled up in a fetal position, Hope snuggled against his chest.
He stared off into the distance, ice blue eyes shaking.
Nothing had happened…it had all been a misunderstanding…
But Paxton knew…it was only a matter of time…
Until things came to a head.
He’d been too relaxed recently. Hadn’t been thinking straight. He couldn’t let that happen anymore.
“Pax…?” Wolfie’s voice broke through the fog, the concern in his eyes evident. Paxton looked up, meeting his eyes.
Without a word, he unfurled himself, slowly rising to a sitting position, face void of expression, minus a few tears that still streamed down his cheeks.
He gripped Hope tight between his fingers, not wanting to let go, but knowing…He had to.
Silently, he reached for the backpack beside his bed, gently placing her inside and zipping it up.
Riker, Bucky and Wolfie exchanged confused, worried glances.
“Paxton? Are you alright?” Riker asked.
He didn’t answer. Without so much as a whimper, he stood to his feet, picking up his backpack and throwing it around his shoulders.
He met Wolfie’s eyes for a moment.
And then…
He left the room.
Sometimes yall Paxton just writes himself and I’m just like well uh okay kid lol
But basically…he’s kinda just shut down…reverted back to when he first got to the academy. All those breakthrough moments are kinda reversing. (Sometimes that happens sadly….)
