I have that happen when the thread is about to start a new page. I just go to the second to last page, and usually that works. But maybe that’s just how it is on my end.

July 20, 2023 at 3:15 pm #151685@whalekeeper Ohh, ok! Maybe that’s it lol
@freedomwriter76 @whaley
So, I’m just going to be using the character I’m working on right now, Addison Freeman, and I think she’s a sophomore–idk about electives yet. And yep, she’s just a human xD
Does anyone have a dorm she can join?
And, her story’s in first person, so since I’m practicing for that…
Addison
I stood in the hallway with my class list out, near my new locker.
The bell had already rang, but I didn’t know where I was supposed to go for my next class, Chemistry. I glanced around to ask someone.
“Um… excuse me, can you show me where this is?”
(Maybe she can ask one of ya’ll’s characters? 😉)

Yay! Villager-nosed chemistry teacher is on the official list now!
I’b so habby rigd now
July 20, 2023 at 5:25 pm #151700Hi, glad you could join!! My character can answer your question quick. I’m sorry he doesn’t really give her a second glance, but I thought he could at least direct her so she isn’t just left standing there.
Sebastian
As Seb rushed towards the chemistry class, a girl nearby timidly held out her schedule paper. “Um… excuse me, can you show me where this is?”
“Chemistry’s this way – follow me!” Seb didn’t even have to look as he yelled back over his shoulder.
He knew she probably wanted a new friend and someone to talk to, but she was also years older than him, and the opposite sex. He wasn’t exactly the type of friend a school girl would want. So he didn’t slow down.
A few more turns, and his destination loomed up in front of him. He barged through the classroom door, lungs bursting. “I’M HERE!”
The girl behind him caught up and gave him a confused look, but took her place at a desk.
Bleary, unfocused faces gazed up at him, and the teacher rubbed at his nose, puzzled. “Hmm? Bat bo you bean?”
Seb hurriedly collected himself, and smiled through his loud breaths. “Miss Miguel… needs… a chemistry set, sir. She… wants… to enlighten us with the later years’ activities.”
The teacher shook his head slowly, and went back to his unintelligible lecture. Seb nodded his thanks and walked over to the wood and glass cabinet, where various vials and materials sat clustered on the shelves.
The supplies were limited. He would have to get creative.
This… that jar… a few bottles of this…
He tried to look as casual as possible, whistling a little tune, and occasionally glanced at the older students. A few of them seemed positively enraptured by him – but not suspicious. They probably had nothing else to do.
Then –
Sebastian’s eyes grew round and bright with glee.
In the very back of the cabinet was a previously tightly shut cupboard. By pressing his fingers into semi curved sets of grooves in the sides of the little door, he managed to ease it open and inspect the contents.
A row of tiny cylinders greeted him, filled with brilliant orange and white particles, swirling like pocket-size galaxies.
“Eureka!” he cried.
The teacher snorted, and turned a page in his book.
Seb mustered up the most innocent face he could. He stuffed many of the cylinders and extra bottles in his suit, and as delicately as possible. Then he bowed to the teacher, and headed out into the hall towards the boy’s bathroom, with a revived spring in his step.

July 20, 2023 at 5:38 pm #151702That’s ok! Thank you 😉
Addison
“Chemistry’s this way – follow me!” the boy yelled, rushing past me.
Confused, I followed him into a classroom and after a quick glance around, took a seat near the back of the room.
The strange boy started stuffing vials in his clothes, and then bowed to the teacher –almost dropping them — and started down the hallway.
What was going on in this school?
So do we normally rp during classes or just in the hallways and at lunch?
Also, anyone else got characters in chemistry?

July 20, 2023 at 9:32 pm #151749Well it kind of depends on if there’s anything to rp about in the classes. If the classes are boring and nobody really wants to write them, it speeds up a little (like a summary, kinda), but more often than not, there’s some drama or interest to write about. Plus you have to let people rp their characters in and out of the rooms, which takes time 😋
I think almost everyone does… have charries in chemistry, I mean. I do. But I’ll step back for a sec to let everyone else sift through this… 😂
I’ve just been on this rp a lot, because the rest of my summer is devoid of activities.

Katonia
I was catching up on some much-needed sleep when the door burst open. “I’M HERE!” yelled the self-important, silly-hatted boy I had seen bouncing on the angel-boy’s wings.
Oh, great. What’s he doing here? He looks like he belongs in the nursery. Professor Nez sniffed, and went back to putting words in Greek philosophers’ mouths. I watched to see what would happen next. A timid girl followed him in and sat down in a free seat. That’s funny. I thought there weren’t any free seats. Weird school. The short boy began rummaging around in the cupboards and cabinets, obviously not interested in participating in science class. He grabbed some vials. I gasped. He’d better not drop those! Those are toxic! He dropped one.
I prepared to hold my breath and get out of there, but the boy stuck his fancy-shoed foot out, catching the greenish bottle, and balancing it. He neatly flicked his shoe up, and the bottle landed in his hands. I breathed a sigh of relief.
Professor Nez (that’s his actual name) looked up and cried, “By brized chebicals! Deif! Deif!”

Sorry if this posts multiple times… I could NOT get it to work for a while
Sebastian
Sebastian froze in place.
He turned around… slowly…
The professor and all the students’ mouths were agape in unison.
With an apologetic smile, the little boy tipped his hat. “You’ve all been Seb-ified.”
“Don’t let hib get away!”
Chairs scraped back, but before anyone could commit to a real chase, he slid into his traditional dance routine.
A smooth arc of the arm, throwing up a tiny vial, as if in slow motion.
Bounce of the head.
Twirl of the heel.
And…
Awesomeness activated. The rhythm tapped into the multi-universes in the boy’s mind, and simultaneously, the vial crashed to the floor, stamped under his foot. He flickered to a swoop of a violin note in his mind, and vanished.
…
A plume of sparkly pink smoke floated into the air. Students bumped into each other, and waved their books around in an effort to ward off the overwhelming smell of freshly baked pumpkin pie (of all things). The professor, riled up as he was, had only enough common sense to dismiss the class early.
…
Sebastian flickered back into existence next to the bathroom door.
No students or teachers with pitchforks were nearby, or even making a distant ruckus. The classroom doors closest down the hall had been closed, still in session.
He had gotten away, scott-free.
The boy took in a deep breath, adjusting his suit collar.
Then he slid to the floor, and giggled madly, the high-pitched laughter echoing down the hall. His eyes filled up with the colorful light of a thousand worlds.
This was far from his first escape, but he still got the thrill.
Marcel was nowhere in sight. Presumably he was still in science class.
Seb got to his feet, a little wobbly, and carried the chemicals into the bathroom.
There was no obviously good place to hide them. But he couldn’t keep all of them in his suit, and his dorm was a long way off.
One of the stalls was out of order, and the door was locked. Seb deftly picked the lock open – he wasn’t about to crawl under it and get his clothes dirty – and neatly piled most of the jars and bottles behind the toilet. Some he stashed in his pockets for later.Hopefully no one would be looking too hard for the professor’s missing supplies.
“What’s all this?”
Seb whirled around, one hand raised to throw a green vial.
“Hey, watch it.” Marcel held out his hands non-threateningly. “It’s me.”
Seb rolled his eyes and went back to sorting the chemicals. “I’m still alive, and the mission was successful. You may leave now.”
Marcel took a closer look. His eyebrows disappeared into his pink hair. “What the… You’re going to implode the entire school with that stuff, aren’t you?”
“Maybe.” Seb’s eyes twinkled. “Depends on if anyone tried to dunk my head in a toilet. Precautions, you know?”
“…I think you overprepare. This is dangerous, Krataristo. I can’t let you keep these. You’ll blow everyone to high heaven.”
Seb crossed his arms and faced the older kid. He wasn’t about to let anyone coax him into returning anything. “First of all, I’m pretty certain you’re already acquainted with heaven in some way or another. Second, I need resources. My powers have very specific needs. Quality ammo is the only thing my brain will accept. Otherwise, I’m dead. Sunk. Kaput. Got it?”
“Why explosives and music?”
“It’s… complicated.” Seb brushed his hair back with his fingers, trying to decide how much to tell. “It’s also a bit of a… um… personal reason.”
Marcel let his wings overshadow the entire stall, until the door was blocked. “Let’s hear it.”
Silence.
More silence.
Seb took off his hat and turned the rim around and around. He grinned stiffly. “They’re two factors, you know?”
“Yeah…”
“And… well, everyone has two parents…” Seb scrunched his eyes shut and stomped his foot. “Could we just move on with our lives now??”
He didn’t want to think about his dramatic past. Rule number one of being a superhero – backstories were not exactly a topic to daydream about. Even Marcel should know that, and respect it.
“Okay, okay,” Marcel said. “Whatever. Just don’t kill us all.”
Good.
The kid stepped to the side, and let Seb lead the way out of the bathroom.

Guys, some people are not able to post rn, so let’s pause the RPing until that’s resolved. @whalekeeper did a whole RP in response, but it didn’t come up.
July 22, 2023 at 10:28 am #151836It’s all good now! My post has been fixed – see above 😊

Soooooo…I don’t think I’ll really be getting around to this much…school should be starting back next month, sis is getting ready for college, I still have some things to study/do, I still need to write, and…other things that I need to take care of that will take more and more of my time away from KP.
I hope y’all understand 😀 I’ll still try to be on KP when I can, and I may RP on occasion…y’all feel free to RP without me and move on as much as you want.
I hope everyone has fun 💖💖💖

I totally understand! I probably won’t be super active either once school gets in full swing next month. I’ll miss ya, but I look forward to when you are active!! 🥰
