Ok… so… I think I’m gonna add in my villain Derek and he can join Aramis and Edrich. (It’s going to be so much fun writing him. 😆) And things aren’t going to be the same as it is in my story world. Instead of his brother being dead (like he is in the story), I’ll just have him be pretty much disowned and no longer associated with Derek. So Derek will still feel the same feelings of guilt he does in the story. And, I think I’m gonna have him be a bit of a flirt too, because he probably totally was at that age. XD Lastly, he’s going to have a particular dislike for my charries, because… well… idk. but he will.( In the story he’s like forty-something, so I’m dropping like 30 years off his actual age XD)
So we’ll just see how this goes!

So currently for those who don’t know/need to know, November failed the last year of school, however his father pulled strings and he “passed.”
Other kids found this out/started rumors and it made him an even bigger target for bullying and rumors than he already was.
A few of the teachers also don’t care for him due to the weight his father holds on their board, and such…
He’s also a bit of a klutz. He has dyslexia and dyscalculia in this AU, and wears contacts (wore glasses for one year in middle grade and was teased mercilessly)
Plus his dad is….not a good dad.
That being said, he’s taken on a few extra assignments to try and get ahead early this year because he already knows he’s probably not going to have much luck, but he really doesn’t want his father stepping in again (if he even will, since his father has threatened not to this time around)
And this essay is one of those extra assignments.

The bell rang for a second time, giving students a last chance to get themselves seated as the teacher stepped in.
Someone slid into the other seat beside November.
“You almost didn’t make it,” Ara whispered. November turned, spotting Nyx, who laid his head on his desk, groaning.
“Why do we have to go through this torture? I would like to have a word with the person who decided to make school not optional.” The boy huffed, lifting his head just enough to give a glare.
November smiled, chuckling at his younger friend. He couldn’t help but understand a bit…school wasn’t exactly his strong suit either.
“Students, please be seated. Class is starting,” a stern female voice rose over the now hushed chatter, making the three friends snap to attention.
November tensed, fingers gripping the edges of his essay papers nervously.
“What’s Mrs. Hendricks doing here?” Nyx asked, a brow raised. “I thought that guy with a toupee taught this class. Ya know, Mr. Doughert.”
“He…usually does…” Ara said, a small frown on her pale lips. She glanced at November, who was growing more anxious by the second.
It was no secret Mrs. Hendricks wasn’t his family’s biggest fan…
He could only hope that wouldn’t affect his grade today…
“Mr. Doughert is out with a family emergency, so I am taking his place.” The woman let out a sigh, as if she were doing the man some great service in taking on this single class for him. She pushed her glasses up, looking over her notes. “Everyone turn to pages 232 in your English textbooks, please.”
The sounds of rustling paper filled the class as students did just that, no one daring to speak a word in front of the woman.
Most teachers were blind as a bat, and deaf to boot. And some were nice enough to let things slide.
But not Mrs. Hendricks…
“Before we begin our lesson today, it seems we have a few who have taken on Extra Assignments.”
(I’m not sure if any others would have taken extra assignments but I feel so mean calling out JUST November XD)
November felt himself shrink into his seat. He tried to calm the anxious beating in his chest, but it was no use.
“First on the list is…” The teacher raised a brow, pursing her lips. She looked up only slightly, a small twinge of annoyance passing over her face. “November Elrond. Have you completed your assignment?”
November’s throat closed up for a moment but he was able to squeak out, “Y-Yes m-ma’am…”
“Good then. Come along, up. You will read it to the class.”
November’s heart lurched, stomach dropping.
R-Read it? In front of…everyone?
Ara straightened, eyes widening slightly. She immediately shot up a hand. Mrs. Hendricks narrowed her eyes.
“Yes Ms. Fabel?”
“Excuse me for asking ma’am but…wouldn’t it be quicker to have everyone to turn their assignments in?”
“Perhaps,” The teacher said, “But I prefer to make sure the students are learning the full range of our teachings. Besides, capturing the attention of others is what a proper essay should do.”
“More like she enjoys making examples of students.” Nyx hissed, fur on his ears standing up as his claws scratched against the desk.
November stared at the papers in his hands, the words on them suddenly sliding and shifting together.
“N?” Ara whispered, gently taking his wrist and squeezing it.
November swallowed the nausea rising in his stomach, forcing a shaky smile to his lips.
“Mr. Elrond? If you please.” The teacher said, taking her seat behind the desk.
November sucked in a shaky breath, standing to his feet and walking to the front of the classroom turning to face…so many people…
A few…okay…more then a few…snickered and whispered, pointing at him from their desks.
His cheeks flushed with heat and he stared at the shaking papers in his hands, now unable to read a single word, or speak with his dry lips.
He glanced at Ara who shot him a small but worried smile, and then at a few of his other friends in the room who tried to do the same.
Lyn sent him a thumbs up.
He breathed in.
Okay…you can do this…
