“See you at Lunch,” I waved to Wanda as she left, I was a little annoyed that she was here but I was glad to have a familiar face.
Everyone took a seat around the classroom but I wasn’t sure where I would sit. Finally, I spotted Ev sitting by himself.
“Hey,” I slid into the seat next to him.

“Hey,” a girl said, the one sliding into the seat next to him.
Ev turned and saw Falon already putting her book and notebook on her desk. “Oh, hi!” He pushed a hand through his hair. Just when he was thinking about her she shows up…
Maybe now was the time to ask her to the dance. From how much Ami and Clint were hanging out, he didn’t doubt Clint would ask her to the dance. He bit his lip. He loved Ami. She was his friend. And he wanted her happy. He wanted her to go to the dance knowing that he was happy as well, and not mad at her for any reason. He swallowed his pride and turned to Falon again. After all, she was pretty, and she seemed really nice.
He sucked in a breath and ran a hand through his hair again. It was now or never. “Hey, Falon?”
She turned to face him. “Yeah?”
“Would you like to go to the dance with me?”

Ev’s question threw me off, I just meant him, he was nice, and everything, but still I didn’t know him.
“Uh…,” It wouldn’t be that bad. “Yeah, I would love to,” My own words shocked me, but I was a little excited too.

“Uh…” she hesitated. Ev watched her expectantly. “Yeah,” she finally said. “I would love to.”
Ev grinned. Well, that went a lot better than he thought it would.
“Great!”
They sat there in awkward silence for a moment. “So, uh… Are we supposed to like have matching outfits or something?” Ev asked, chuckling nervously.

I let out a little laugh, “I’m pretty sure we’re supposed to wear matching colors, My favorite colors are blue, red, and black. What about you?”

“Well, here we go. How do you like English compared to Math?”
“It’s way better than Math. Math sucks…and I’m really bad at it.” He sighed. “But I guess it can’t be helped.”
He saw Iris, Erich, and Angelina in the room. Erich gave him a grin and a wave, and both Iris and Angelina motioned for him to come over. “Hey, Tirion, you wanna sit with me and my friends?”

Tirion glanced at Riker’s friends.
They all looked nice enough. Plus, Riker was cool, so Tirion bet his friends were too.
“Sure, I’d love to. Thanks for asking.” He replied.
The two boys walked over to where the other kids were sitting.
“Hey guys, meet Tirion. Tirion meet Iris, Erich, and Angelina.” Riker said, introducing everyone.
“Hi! It’s nice to meet you all.”
I rolled the log over and underneath was a tiny little stick and I was like, "That log had a child

“Sure,” I smiled, I’m sure Wanda could help me put together a cute outfit. And I had heard talk of the girls going dress shopping, which sounded a little too social but I needed a dress.
“So… do you prefer Math or English?” I asked trying to make small talk, which wasn’t my strong suit.
