          Paxton

In a blur of motion, Joshua was now in front of him. Paxton gasped, the wind knocked out of him. He trembled, eyes wide as he backed away.

“Paxton!” Luna cried as she grabbed him, hugging him from behind. He flinched violently at the touch, but she didn’t let go, she only pulled him closer.

“You’re gonna regret that!” Aramis growled, wings flaring out.

Paxton whimpered, shutting his eyes. He found himself curling into Luna’s hug, her arms wrapping around him. She was a bit taller then him, though not by too much.

He could hear blows and grunts being exchanged, but refused to look, until a loud, firm voice echoed, making his heart drop.

          “What is going on here?”

Paxton’s breath lodged in his throat, making him gag for a moment. Luna looked at him worriedly.

          “Paxton?” She whispered.

Ara gasped slightly, eyes widened. She stepped back, folding her hands against her skirt.

The clicking of heels against floor thudded with Paxton’s skull. His eyes opened wide, face paling as he caught sight of the tall, female figure approaching.

Aramis backed up, a small smile on his lips as he spat blood from his lips.

          Mother…” He spoke.

Lilith’s eyes roved the crowd, sending shudders through Paxton. Joshua stood, straightening himself. He’d obviously received quite a beating. Thought from the looks of things, he’d returned it pretty well.

          “Aramis?” Lilith raised a brow.

“This…boy, won’t let me take Paxton to class,” Aramis said, pointing.

          Joshua stared at Aramis, glowering.

Lilith’s eyes turned to him. “Is this true?” She cast a look at Paxton as well, freezing him in Luna’s arms.

            @godlyfantasy12. O.O Uh oh… @wilder-w. @elishavet-pidyon.

            Joshua

The headmistress’ eyes turned to him. “Is this true?” She asked.

He glanced at Wolfgang, who was hiding partially behind Arabella.

Joshua looked up at Lilith, before his gaze fell again. “Yes ma’am, it…it is true…but only I started it.”

Wolfgang opened his mouth, and Joshua quickly shook his head, neither Lilith nor Aramis noticing.

Wolfgang didn’t need to get involved.

            Wolfgang’s mouth closed.

Joshua took in a deep breath and turned back towards Lilith. “…I’m sorry.”

              @freedomwriter76 awww Joshua 😭 @elishavet-pidyon @wilder-w

              Paxton

Paxton frowned, watching Joshua’s exchanged with his mother.

“Hmm. Yes. Well, I suggest next time you decide to interfere in the business of others, you would think twice. Seems you have…” She looked at his bruisings, “Already learned your lesson. But next time, you will receive a weeks worth of after school detention. Understand me?”

              Joshua nodded slowly.

Lilith turned to Paxton, making him wince. Her eyes narrowed. He released Luna, rising slowly. “Go with your brother, Paxton.”

Paxton nodded slowly, walking back over to Aramis, who was grinning like a cat. Paxton looked back at Joshua, eyes portraying his apology. Joshua gave him a soft smile.

Wolfgang was staring with wide worried eyes. As were the others.

Lilith’s eyes roved to the girls. “I suggest you two get to class.” They landed on Luna and Wolfgang. “Ah…you two must be new. Welcome. I would hope that…Young Mr. Joshua will be a better influence in the coming days.”

Her eyes lingered on Wolfgang. “And let’s especially hope the Apple does fall far from the tree.” She turned, walking away.

Aramis smiled at Joshua, saluting him goodbye, and then turning, dragging Paxton along with him.

                Wolfgang

                This wasn’t fair!

Joshua’s arms wrapped around Wolfgang, holding him close.

And what did she mean by what she said!?

“They’re all jerks…now I see where they get it from…” Wolfgang whispered, fists clenched.

                Now he understood Jakob’s anger.

                Aramis dragged Paxton away.

Wolfgang’s eyes filled with tears. Why did Aramis have to be mean to his brother!? Why did Adolphus, Dietrich, and Frida have to be mean to him and his brothers!?

                Wolfgang pulled away from Joshua.

                “Wolfgang…what…what’s wrong…are you alright…?”

Wolfgang shook his head. “I…I…I need to be alone!” He cried, and rushed off.

“WOLFGANG!” Joshua, Luna, and Arabella all screamed, but Wolfgang was running too fast.

He ran up and down halls, only trying to be alone.

                Eventually, he was.

He fell to the floor beside some lockers in an empty hallway, sobbing into his knees, which were up to his chest.

But what he didn’t realize…as he was sobbing…was that he had been surrounded.

                            Adolphus

                            Stupid fox boy.

He was still fuming from that fox boy’s attack.

But oh, he would pay…one day.

Suddenly, Adolphus heard a sob, and he turned. “Hey, Dietrich, Edrich, look over there…” He said, pointing, with a grin.

Wolfgang was sitting by a few lockers, knees up to his chest, sobbing.

                            And he was alone.

                            Hah…what a surprise!

@freedomwriter76 sorry had to bake some cookies! @wilder-w @elishavet-pidyon

                              Edrich

“isn’t that one of your half-brothers?” Edrich asked.

“Yup. The littlest one to boot,” Dietrich grinned. He looked at Edrich, “May we?”

“With pleasure,” Edrich raised his brows. The three approached the crying lad, surrounding him against the lockers.

Edrich knelt down onto one knee, a small smile lighting his lips. The boy, Wolfgang he believed was his name, was still sobbing, obviously unaware of their presence.

Edrich reached out a hand, gently touching the boy’s temple, running fingers through his hair.

The boy started, eyes wide as saucers. Edrich could feel the kid’s heart nearly beating out of his chest.

                              He smirked.

Wolfgang’s eyes drifted upward, catching sight of his brothers. He let out a small gasp, legs kicking out to get away. But there was nowhere to go.

                              “Shh, shh…easy,” Edrich cooed.

“Yea, Wolfgang. No reason to be scared…at least, no yet,” Dietrich winked at Adolphus. The boy shrunk in on himself.

“You know…I just saw another brother of yours,” Edrich. “Leo, I believe.”

Wolfgang pulled his knees back to his chest. “L-Leo?” He whispered. Edrich nodded, carding his hand once again through the boy’s hair. Wolfgang winced.

“He and a few others were…a bit…troublesome, I must admit. But, then again, that’s not your fault, is it?”

                              Wolfgang didn’t answer.

“But…you,” Edrich chuckled, “You and your brothers just…can’t seem to keep your noses where they belong…” He brought his hand down, gripping Wolfgang’s chin. The boy let out a whimper.

“Thankfully, your half brothers seem to have learned pretty quickly whose side they need to be on…hopefully you and this other new brother who has started will too.”

Wolfgang’s eyes widened again, but this time his brows furrowed. “Reuben..?” He whispered. He pursed his lips, eyes narrowing. “Y-you…you leave him alone!”

Edrich raised a brow. “Hm. And I had such high hopes…” Edrich squeezed Wolfgang’s chin before releasing it. He stood, looking at Adolphus and Dietrich.

“Ah,” he shrugged. “Do what you wish. He’s your brother.” Edrich cast another look at Wolfgang, and then, walked away, leaving the brothers to their business.

@godlyfantasy12. You’re good! I had to get off anyhow! 😉 And cookies are delicious! XD @wilder-w. Hope you don’t mind, but I’m gonna have a teacher already figured out about Jakob and…heh…he’s in trouble, but Reuben is still with Hope! Those two are just the cutest couple EVER! XD @elishavet-pidyon.

                                Wolfgang

“Gladly.” Adolphus said, turning to face Wolfgang again.

Wolfgang whimpered and pushed himself more against the wall.

He shouldn’t have run off to be alone.

                                He shouldn’t have.

“Awww, don’t be scared, Wolfie, we’re not gonna hurt ya…” Adolphus whispered, just as Dietrich grabbed the collar of Wolfgang’s shirt, “at least not quite yet.”

Wolfgang tried to wrestle his way out of Dietrich’s grip, but he didn’t stand a chance. “Please! Just, let me go! Don’t hurt me!”

“Aww…little Wolfie thinks he can convince us to leave him alone, does he…?” Dietrich taunted with a smirk.

“Let me go!” Wolfgang screamed, kicking out at him.

“Stop fighting and this will go much less painfully, Wolfie…” Adolphus whispered, grabbing a tuft of Wolfgang’s hair, pulling it, hard.

Wolfgang whimpered again. “Please! Let me go!” He screamed, loud.

Adolphus clicked his tongue. “Ah, ah, ah…Wolfie, we don’t tell people what to do…do we…?”

Wolfgang kicked out, hitting Adolphus straight in the gut.

Adolphus cursed and stumbled backwards, before his eyes blazed with fury. “Alright, that’s it.”

                                Ezra

A scream, a beg, echoed in Ezra’s ears.

                                What in the world…!?

Ezra came around the hallway and stopped.

                                Adolphus and Dietrich…of course.

Wolfgang was on the floor, trying to shield himself.

                                “HEY! You leave him alone!”

Adolphus turned on him with complete fury. “If it isn’t Ezra…the one who kicked me…” He snarled.

“And I’ll gladly do it again if you don’t leave Wolfgang alone.” Ezra replied with a glare, practically shoving Dietrich out of the way to get to Wolfgang

“And you think you can stop us?” Dietrich asked with a smirk.

“Lay another finger on this boy and I’ll hurt you both.” Ezra threatened with a snarl, before offering his hand to Wolfgang. “Come on, Wolfgang…it’s me, Ezra.”

Wolfgang sniffed and took his hand, as Ezra helped him to his feet.

Adolphus and Dietrich glared at them both. “You’ll pay for this, Ezra…” Adolphus snarled.

Ezra shrugged. “Go on ahead. Come after me. See if I care.”

Dietrich glared at Wolfgang. “You may have your friends here…but wait until you get home, Wolfgang.” He snarled, just as he and Adolphus strode away.

Ezra scoffed and turned to face Wolfgang. “Hey, Wolfgang, you look hurt. Do you want me to take you to the Nurse’s office?”

Slowly, Wolfgang nodded, tears still coursing down his cheeks. “…Y-Yeah…”

Ezra grabbed Wolfgang’s hand and squeezed it to reassure him. “Come on…” he urged, “hey, you might want to text at least one of your brothers to…you know…let them know.”

“Which one?” Wolfgang asked softly, sniffing again.

Ezra smiled faintly. “Whichever one you want close by…”

Wolfgang nodded and sniffed, before pulling out his phone and beginning to text.

                                Leo

                                Leo’s phone dinged.

He glanced at his phone, and his heartrate increased. Wolfgang was going to the nurse’s office…? Because of…Adolphus and Dietrich.

Leo looked up at the others. “Hey, uhm, guys…I…I have to go.”

“Is something wrong?” Jocelyn asked, eyebrows furrowing together in concern.

“Wolfgang had a run in with Adolphus and Dietrich…and he’s going to the nurse’s office.”

“Oh no…” Eva whispered, her hand coming up to her mouth.

“They won’t believe him about Adolphus and Dietrich.” Erich whispered, still with a hand on Esther’s shoulder.

“I…I know…but I still need to get to him…I’ll be back.”

And Leo rushed off, sending quick texts to Joshua and Jakob, though not Reuben, not wanting his second youngest brother to worry himself too much.

Finally, he reached the nurse’s office and stepped inside.

                                “Leo!”

“…Wolfgang…” He whispered, rushing to his youngest brother, wrapping his arms around him.

                                Joshua

                                “Oh no…” He whispered.

“What? What is it?” Luna asked, concern and worry in her eyes.

“Wolfgang had a run in with Adolphus and Dietrich…and now he has to go to the Nurse’s office…” Joshua whispered.

                                Arabella gasped. “Oh…oh no…”

                                Jakob

                                Jakob’s phone dinged.

He took a quick look at it, and something flared inside his chest.

Adolphus and Dietrich…beating up his youngest brother…oh…he was…was…

                                furious.

But as of right now…there was nothing he could do.

And that made him even angrier.

Jakob put his phone up with a sigh, slipping it back into his jacket pocket.

He glanced around the room, still waiting, just as the secretary stepped in front of him.

                                Jakob looked up.

“The headmistress is ready to see you now.”

@freedomwriter76 Wolfgang!!! Poor baby! Btw, what are the boys last names again? @elishavet-pidyon @wilder-w

                                  Lilith

“Ah, hello young mister Jakob.” Lilith folded her hands onto her desk, staring at the young man who stood in her office.

His eyes flared for a moment before looking away as he slipped his hands into his pockets.

“I hear we had a bit of trouble earlier today?”

“Whatever you heard, it’s not the truth.”

“Hm? Well then,” she motioned to the seat in front of her. “Please, tell me what really happened.”

Jakob looked warily at the chair, but slowly sat down, glaring at the floor.

“I was trying to help someone.” He said. “A girl. She was hurt.”

Lilith raised a brow, “From what I heard, it was quite the opposite…”

Jakob looked up, brows raised in question.

“I heard you were the one hurting her.”

                                  November

November watched Leo go with worried eyes, a frown on his face. “You think his brother’s okay?”

“I’m sure he’ll be fine,” Jocelyn assured.

After a few seconds, Esther turned back to Nyx, telling him he needed to be careful with his injury, until they could get out of school.

“Psh, I’ll be fine. You people worry too much.”

Grimm shook his head, a small sigh escaping his lips. Lyn gently grabbed her brother’s shoulders, brows furrowing in concern.

A buzz sounded through the hall, letting them know class would be starting soon.

Nyx winced, ears flicking. “Bah! Seriously?! Those things are so annoying!”

                                  Lyn smiled, amused.

                                  Paxton

Paxton clutched his backpack straps, keeping his eyes downcast as he and Aramis quickly walked.

Aramis’ grip around his shoulder tightened as they rounded a corner, making Paxton stumble a bit.

Aramis sent him a look, fingers gripping tighter around Paxton’s uniform, digging into his skin.

“Ari.” A female figure suddenly appeared from the next corner they rounded.

The first thing Paxton noticed was how tall she was. Able to look Aramis dead in the eyes. She had wild brown hair, with a single white stripe down one side.

She grinned, placing a hand on her hips. “How’s it going?”

Aramis returned her smile. “Kainda,” He nodded.

Kainda’s eyes maneuvered downward, until they met Paxton’s ice blue. He shrunk back at her gaze.

                                  “Who’s the kid?”

“This,” He shoved Paxton forward, right in front of Kainda. “Is my half-brother.”

“Ah, the infamous youngest Fallon!” Kainda bent down to look at Paxton. He trembled, clutching the front of his uniform between his fingers.

                                  She chuckled. “Cute.”

Aramis leaned against one of the lockers, rolled his eyes. “If you say so.”

“I don’t know, I kinda like the whole “scared rabbit” look.” Kainda mused, running a finger over the boy’s cheek.

                                  Paxton whimpered.

Kainda stood, facing Aramis once again. “I had a run in with our thief.”

Aramis’ brows raised. “Yea? Get anywhere?”

Kainda huffed, blowing a strand of hair away. “No. She came before we could. She always does.”

Aramis shrugged. “Ah, we’ll get him eventually. Don’t worry.” He approached Kainda, tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear.

“You look beautiful today…” He tilted his head.

She quirked her lips. “You know…you’re brother wouldn’t be very happy to know you’re flirting with me.” She crossed her arms.

Aramis shrugged, “What Edrich doesn’t know won’t hurt him.”

Kainda raised a brow, glancing at Paxton. “And how will you make sure he won’t know?”

Aramis chuckled, “Trust me. He won’t say anything,” Aramis looked at Paxton, who backed away at his gaze.

Kainda shrugged. “Still. I don’t go for players. And that’s exactly what you are, Ari.”

“Well, it was worth a shot, wasn’t it?” He winked.

Kainda grinned, leaning closer to him. “Suppose it was.” She pecked him on the cheek, and then, walked away.

Aramis watched her go and, once she was out of sight, turned back to Paxton, finger on his lips with a smile.

“This’ll be our little secret. Just like all the others.” He winked. Paxton nodded slowly.

A buzz sounded through the halls. “Ah, better get going. Wouldn’t want you to be later, now would we?” Aramis said, stepping behind Paxton. He pushed him forward, starting them walking once again.
