I don’t have a lot of changed-up songs written down, but here is one of the poem-ish songs I wrote (Sorren sings it in my book, at least eventually). It might not make a whole lot of sense because you haven’t read it, but I think it turned out okay. 🙂
The trees stand tall and strong,
And the snow whispers in our ears.
We raise our swords, we sing and shout,
And wash away our fears.
In a world confined by chaos,
There lies a sphere of peace.
Deep within the swirl of stars,
Here lies a planet, long released
From the jaws of snapping fangs,
Scales, blood, and spears,
The planet led by evil’s sword
That long has brought us tears.
So today, we fight, not for ourselves,
But for the stolen, oppressed, long dead,
And hope for the moment the traitor himself
Rears up his mighty head.
Stand strong now, young soldier,
When victory seems lost,
For when your blade delivers souls forgotten
It will all be worth the cost.
Then together, we’ll return there,
So the prisoners can see
Where deep within the darkness lies
Our home, now truly free.

Awesome! Its so fun to write random songs and I like to do that for my characters occasionally. Most of the time I just think up good parodies on the spot. Lol I would love to meet those characters. I’m glad you liked my song!

It’s cool you play the guitar. I can’t play musical instrument but I perform in lot of musicals. I will have to share a song one I get back to my computer.
My highschool graduation meant the retirement of my homeschool-teacher mom and principal dad, so my siblings and I made a music video with Lego guys off of The Greatest Showman’s This is the Greatest Show, except changed it to be “…Greatest School.”

Philippians 4:8-9I can agree that traditional musicals are better than musicals. My favourites are Sweeny Todd, Les Mis, and Into the Woods. (If you can’t tell I like Stephen Sondheim)
anyway here is a song (more like a litany) from the Kharvian archive. For some context a Nucifera is a type of flower that looks a bit like a black lotus flower.
Great Nucifera wither but grow
Time’s wheel turns as aeons go

but great Nucifera, You’ll never die

This is technically the chorus to the song but I may not include any of the rest of it and it would be spoilers for something important either way as the song has some other significance. However in the scene in which it appears in the first book this is the only part the character who sings it can remember (he is talking to another character while travelling and they end up talking about music)
I have some other snippets of songs or songs with about 3/4 completion and one more completed song (although it is slightly not appropriate because it is this one jester like charrie insulting another character so I decided not to post it). Songs are important to one of the Kharvian sort of countries, Animar.
Wow neat! I had a feeling that the song was significant, and that was what you were going for.
I didn’t really recognize any of the musicals you mentioned (the only ones that popped in my mind were The Sound of Music, and a lot of true old Disney musicals lol).
