And yes, I’d love to elaborate, however…this is a pretty vague idea right now, lol. My Historical-Fiction books take higher priority. 😉 (and this will talk about some plot, too. XD)
So, I suppose we’ll start with Jocet. 🙂 As previously mentioned, Jocet is the Prince of the kingdom. He’s also a good swordfighter, horse rider, and hunter, all skills his father required him to learn before becoming King.
But…well…you see…Jocet really shouldn’t be called a Prince anymore…
…because now…
…he’s the king.
He wasn’t supposed to be…not until a couple more years or until he found himself a Queen, but, well…you see…his father…
…is dead.
And Jocet is on a journey to find the man responsible for his Father’s death.
Until he returns, his Mother is reigning as Queen, which is why he’s still called a Prince…but as soon as he returns, he will be King.
But he’s not returning until he finds the man responsible for his father’s death…
…and he’s most certainly not coming back until the man responsible is gone.
For eternity.
And now…for Keiryn.
From a family drowning in poverty, with an alcoholic and abusive father and mother, Keiryn was the one who protected and provided for his little sister, Lilith.
But…when Lilith was 7, his family owed a massive debt to the Noble that owned the land they live on, and Lilith…was taken away from him.
Kieryn was broken, and every day, he begged for his sister to be released from servitude…and one day…a few years later…the Nobleman listened.
But…you see…the Nobleman is on a quest for power…and wants war…as it will make him rich.
He brought Keiryn into his employ, and Keiryn, if he works for him and does what he asks, will get his sister back.
And…well…you see…
Keiryn is the one who killed Jocet’s father, the King, for the Nobleman.
Now, he’s on the run, trying to avoid Jocet, who is out for whoever killed his father, with his sister, who he took from the Nobleman.
But Kieryn is haunted by what he’s done…
…how can The Light ever forgive him for killing the King?

phew! Us writers seem to love putting our characters through pain… Jocet and Keiryn seems to be both protagonists and antagonists at the same time (their own protagonist, the antagonist of the other)
One of my characters doesn’t have a huge loss until partway through the story… And then after he finally is mostly healed another one bites the dust. Poor guy. 🙁
We're all stories in the end. Just make it a good on, eh?

YESSSSSS!!!! That’s kinda a bit of what I was going for! 😛

Now I feel like talking a bit about my WIP.
Characters I have so far (without giving names): Princess, Prince, Prince, Good King, Desperate King, Not so good King, Highwayman, Thief, Miner, Miner, Hermit.
Now with names for the ones that have names:
Hermit: Alfrodard
Princess: Alva
Prince: Alwyn
Prince: Vesper Adelram
Good King: Al-something
Desperate king: Not yet determined
Not-so-good king: Tariel Adelram
Highwayman: Brann Yap
Thief: Hesh Conlannen
Miner: Darcy
Miner: Crispin
Some are getting quite interesting…

…to stop a coup against Jocet’s mother, thus, Jocet.
But anywho…he’s actually a thief through MOST of the book…but I’m thinking he may be redeemed. We’ll see where he goes. 😉
