@gracie-j
Aw, I LOVE Billy. I mean I feel so terrible for him at the same, *sigh* the best characters always seem to be given the hardest time. He is so adorable though! I love how he’s all intertwined with your story and in Rina’s life too in a way. All these intertwining characters are so complicated in such an awesome way! 😀
March 18, 2021 at 11:19 pm #95874I love all those characters! I feel awful for poor Grimm and YES! November is so awesome! 😀
March 18, 2021 at 11:25 pm #95876Your WIPs sounds awesome:) I absolutely love your titles! They are very poetic and beautiful to just read:D Zhao Shuangzhou is also such an awesome name (Adrian is too btw, I actually have a character in one of my short stories named that XD).

Aww, poor Timothy is so sweet/cute! That’s so sweet how he protects Temira, I love him so much already!! 😀
March 18, 2021 at 11:38 pm #95880Newton worries about embarrassing Caira with his stutter?! Great… just great… now I have a whole new bunch of fangirling to do about them XD
*Gasps* Deek gets a scar?! Yikes and wow at the same time! Mejia has one too, but it’s only about three inches long on the right side of her face.- This reply was modified 3 years, 8 months ago by Abigail.M..

In answer to your question, yep! I have a couple of characters like that, but they’re in the backdrops for the most part. Specifically, Dimitri Danilovich and Adrik Rogozin, who is secondary and the other only spoken from memory.

I know, I love Timothy so utterly much!!
Yeah, I think characters like that are usually minor or semi-secondary.

Yay!! Good, Billy deserves to have his day made. And YES, I understand the whole ‘characters suffering’ all too well… *sigh* He sounds very interesting, though! And I can’t wait to meet him in your books!:)
THANK YOU for saying that! I’m very glad you like it, because I was kinda wanting to keep it but also didn’t know if I should. But the stutter will stay!! And I KNOW, it’s so sweet! He’s always worried he’s “not enough” for her
especially after Caira rejects him at firstso yeah… poor Newton 🙁 I wish I could warn him of certain things coming up.Oooh, that scar sounds both terrible (for Rina’s sake) and awesome (for the sake of I love charries with scars)! I’m still trying to figure out exactly how Deek gets scarred, but I have an idea, and it’s pretty painful to think about. Poor Deek…
March 19, 2021 at 6:47 am #95888YES, and it’s so sweet/sad! Newton’s always worried that Caira’s ashamed of him because he feels like everyone else is, so it’s hard for him to believe that she would accept him for the way he is. He’s so adorable… XD Yeah, he does! I think it’ll be in the second/third book, though. Oh, really? Another character with a scar! *high-fives* How did Mejia get hers?

March 19, 2021 at 7:46 am #95890@abigail-m Ah thank you! Shuangzhou means “frost day” in Chinese. And it’s so cool that you have a character named Adrian too!
Lately, it's been on my brain
Would you mind letting me know
If hours don't turn into daysMarch 19, 2021 at 11:10 am #95899Aww, that’s so sad and utterly adorable at the same time!
*High fives also*… I don’t think characters understand why we writers high-five about their scars, *sigh,* it’s hard explaining plot development to them… XD
Mejia got hers during her three-year trials in becoming a warrior and was from the claw of a white wolf that she fought in a blizzard in the coldest part of winter.
I use it as obscure symbolism for internal battle and her character arc. She ushaully refers to her scar as legitimate yet un-noble, because (getting into some backstory here,) back before she was taken in and abandoned by a farmer, she lived as a child in an orphanage/church of sorts. And because of a certain inncident, Mejia feels responsible for what happened to an older girl that she looked up to. The result was that girl’s face being ruined by several scars as she saved Mejia.
And now all these years later as a warrior, this has always played a part in Mejia’s protecting her band, no matter the price she’d pay in return.
Yikes, I just wrote all that and it’s not even in my monologue post! (Sorry about that), but anyway, that’s the story of Mejia’s scar.March 19, 2021 at 11:13 am #95900Ooh, I love that! “Frost day”, that’s so poetic:) Yeah, that is cool that we both have Adrain characters! 😀

@joy-caroline Dang. He does sound evil.
Well, I hadn’t intended for Lissy to be so…not there, I guess! But it all turned out like that, due to the plot. The MC, Daisy, is searching for her sister (Lissy), who was sold as a slave. Naturally, that’s the driving force behind Daisy’s story, and it soon affects all the other POV characters until everyone is concerned for Lissy. Of course (spoiler), they don’t find her until close to the very end, so…
As for my vilest villain? Ransom. But, believe it or not, he ends up becoming a good guy later on. He’s a pirate, but definitely my worst yet. And he looks it, too. Scarrrrrrrry. It’ll be a while before I write him, though, since he doesn’t show up until much later, in a spin-off series.
