November
Blood.
Riker was bleeding.
November’s stomach churned at the sight and he paled. He took a step back as Viktor and Mikkel rushed forward.
Riker’s eyelids flitted open and shut, and November frowned.
He once again felt useless. But what could he do? Hopefully Mikkel could help him….
Viktor also seemed capable of…at least aiding Mikkel.
But November?
All he could do was stare. At the blood.
Until he couldn’t anymore.
He looked away, feeling nauseous. A lump formed in his throat and he had to swallow it down.
He squeezed his eyes shut.
Why was he like this?
Why did the mere sight of blood make him so….squeamish?
He frowned.
Why did he have to be such a coward…?
He took a chance and peeked at Riker and the others out of the corner of his eyes. They seemed to be doing okay without him, thankfully.
He still felt pretty queasy, but hopefully that would fade.
Some of it was probably just nerves too.
He could tell Mikkel had noticed though and immediately forced a smile, trying to force the man’s attention back on Riker.
He glanced back up at the window, beginning to ferociously tug at his curls.
Had everyone made it out?
They hadn’t exactly had the chance to ask Riker…
Had…Ara made it out?
His nerves made his hands shake as he pulled his curls even harder, yanking his scalp.
If-If she hadn’t…If she’d…what would he…she had to have…right? She couldn’t be…
And with that, his thoughts began to spiral.

@godlyfantasy12. @elishavet-pidyon. @koshka. I’m just imagining all these moments in my head where Lyn’s being her energetic self and Franz is like: “WHAT IN THE WORLD IS WRONG WITH YOU LADY!?!?” And Vulk’s just laughing his head off. And Alyona is like: “Hmm…well…this is…uhm…interesting.” 🤣🤣🤣

Mikkel
Riker was fading, something more than just a scraped up forehead was to blame.
“Hey!” Mikkel lightly slapped him. “Stay with me.”
Riker blinked, his eyes hazey and dilated. Probably slightly concussed.
Great. Oswald, what do I do?
Oswald’s gone.
Mikkel dragged in a breath, shoving down the shock. Poured water from his canteen over the wound.
“You slipped on the rope and hit the wall coming down.” He pressed a fresh strip of gauze to Riker’s forehead. His last strip.
He borrowed Viktor’s hands for a moment to hold the gauze as he taped it in place. It would have to do.
“Soldier, stay with me.”
November looked ready to pass out, but Mikkel couldn’t do anything for that. He could hardly do anything at all.
