@elishavet-pidyon poor Viktor XD
ALRIGHTY SO LETS GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD!!!
….SOMEHOW 🤣
Arabella & November
They’d been walking for a while, opening different doors only to reveal more hallways, or various rooms that didn’t seem to get them any closer to their destination: outside. November hoped the brothers weren’t getting too annoyed, but found himself distancing himself from them, nonetheless.
He, however, was merely hungry. He realized he wasn’t exactly sure how long he’d been there, or when he’d last eaten. This became evidently clear when his stomach made a noise and Ara turned his direction with a concerned look.
“Are you alright?” She asked.
“Ahh…I’m fine…just a bit queasy.” He frowned as his stomach recoiled with emptiness.
She nodded, “Yes, I could eat too.”
“We’ve passed all these rooms, and not a single kitchen. Really, your place isn’t near this confusing!”
Ara laughed. To November, It sounded like tinkling chimes. He stared at her for a moment, until he realized what he was doing and quickly looked away, turning bright crimson.
Ara suddenly cried out, coming to a halt. Zlatan and Vulkasin whipped around, gripping their sword hilts and scanning the corridor.
”Ara!” November cried, reaching for her as she gripped her head.
She squeezed her eyes shut as visions flashed in front of her face. Blurry images of places she’d already been. A’Grend. Cirque.
People she knew: November, Jocelyn, Nyx, and even those she’d just met, like the brothers, and those she had yet to meet.
She opened her eyes and found nothing but darkness swirling before her. She opened her mouth but no sound came out.
Then…out of the darkness….
”Corvina.”
Ara’s eyes returned to their normal, brown color as the dreams faded. She gasped, falling back into November’s outstretched arms.
”Ara! Are you okay? Ara?” He looked down at her, white as a sheet. “Was…was it…”
The brothers stood in shock, probably saying something, but Ara wasn’t listening. She focused on November, her eyes wide.
“She’s here, November. Corvina’s here.”

Ocran strode down the length of the corridor, halting before a narrow door.
Walking helped take his mind off the rumors.
Oh, the foolish people! Did they think he didn’t hear their murmurings? Their whispered hopes?
He spat.
They aught to know better, the Eagle had fallen, the Hawk was crippled. The ashes of the heirs had long drifted away. This was Eirtan, and it was now governed by the strongest nation upon the face of the earth, not a weak shepherd that didn’t even have the right to the title of king.
The door submitted to his fierce pull and admitted him to walk down another passage. He snatched a torch from the wall and continued past the shadowed doorways.
This was castle was a stronghold if no small consideration, although not quite up to the ancient genius of Eirtan’s old one. He would have to mend that.
You have listened to fears, child. Come, let me breathe on you... Are you brave again? -Aslan

Plus, having Viktor right here, kinda represents how the kingdom of Eirtan is continuing right under his very nose. Bwahahaha!

May 3, 2022 at 11:24 pm #110342(Majorly making this up as I go, because 13 year old me struggled with descriptions even more than I do now, and was cringingly cliche about some things.)
Zoe
“[Nic]? [Ric]? Where are you?” She whispered the words, her terror strangling her voice to almost nothing, but her desperation forcing them out. Voices echoed through the large room of the castle, so similar to [Malcolm]’s, yet not his. He kept colored glass lamps burning on the walls to cast eerie light and create a suitably oppressing atmosphere. This room was less intimidating, but just as cold.
She stood in the center of the bare chamber, a living statue clad in a white wolf-skin dress, a wolf-teeth necklace draped around her neck, and a similar bracelet tied around her wrist. Her hands hung by her side, senseless as her mind concocted nightmare visions and fears for each of the numerous doorways. Behind any of them, [Malcolm] might be lurking, waiting to find fault with her so he had reason to punish her again and watch her crumble further into insanity.
Her bare feet refused to respond to her mind’s frantic screams to run, to leave. She had not been told to leave, and she did not want to give [Malcolm] any reason to punish her.
So she stood, waiting and listening to the distant echoes of voices, unable to catch more than faint sounds, their meaning lost in the tangled maze of the castle and her mind.
(ok, that was pretty dark. I’m making my poor character even more tortured that she was, lol 😅)

May 3, 2022 at 11:24 pm #110343@elishavet-pidyon I think I’m gonna have Jocelyn and Nyx run into Ocran and then maybe they be like OKIE BAI if they realize he’s bad or something lol
Jocelyn & Nyx
“Hey, check it out! Light that isn’t from candles!” Lyn pointed to one of the windows beside her.
The duo had been climbing a spiral staircase for a while before ever reaching a new room, but Lyn was thankful to be free from the musty darkness down below. The heat of the sun filled her skin and she leaned out the window, her knees touching the ledge. She leaned so far out, those who saw would’ve feared for her life, but Jocelyn smile and whistled with joy.
Nyx jumped off her shoulder, landing effortlessly on the ledge beside her right hand. He stretched and sat back, looking up at the sky. Jocelyn followed his gaze, smiling.
This was much nicer then the dungeon they’d come from. All those bones had really been a downer. And, though she wouldn’t admit it aloud, it had given her a sickening feeling in the pit of her stomach.
She knew Nyx could sense it, because he’d nuzzled her ever time they passed one of the cells, but she’d tried her best to keep them both occupied through their dreadful walk.
Still…she couldn’t imagine keeping anyone locked down there for all their life. Bad or no.
Nyx’s attention snapped and his ears twitched.
“What? What is it?” She leaned down, grinning expectantly.
Nyx lowered his head and jumped to the stone floor, leaning his large ears to the floor. “I…heard something.”
”What was it?”
“Dunno. Sounded like a door being open. Loudly.”
”Which means…people!” Jocelyn smiled, scooping Nyx up. “Where did it come from?!”
“I think it came from this direction, but Lyn-“
“Let’s go!” She took off down the hall.
”Lynnie! We don’t even know who it is!”
”So?”
”So…maybe they aren’t friendly?”
”If not, we just run the opposite direction. Simple.”
The little creature looked up at her and then rolled his little shoulders. “Ehh, can’t argue with that. We are fast, aren’t we.” He winked. “Let’s go!” He hopped down from her arms and ran beside her.

Boom, buddoom, doom, doom!
*Nose laugh*
Anywayzees,
Ocran
The noon sun had begun to make it’s way off the height of the heavens and looked in through the high, narrow window. Ocran paused to study the stone work in it’s revealing light.
Finally satisfied, he stepped away and on down the hallway. There at the end would be a good large table and a heap of diagrams and maps.
The passages grew dark again, and he changed his torch for a fresh one. Then his step stilled and he turned his head to listen.
Was there someone farther up the corridor?

By the way, whoever I mention first is the actual point of view for a section.
Vulkasin and Zlatan.
Door after door brought nothing in reward, and by the second corridor Vulkasin was sure they were headed higher into the castle, not down to some courtyard.
He was about to suggest they turn around when Ara’s shriek cut him off. The brothers spun, swords half drawn in instinct, searching for some threat.
She was gripping her head as if desperately holding it on. “Ara!” Novembré had reached for her, his face a mask of concern. Or was it fear?
Then she opened her eyes. Vulkasin almost stopped breathing. They were strangely colored and staring blankly into nothing. Ara blinked, and her eyes where their dark brown of before.
She crumpled into Novembré’s waiting arms.
“Ara! Are you okay? Ara?” He stood holding her, his face pale as the lady at high summer. “Was…was it…”
Vulkasin glanced at his brother, but couldn’t find anything to say.
Ara seemed to rouse. “She’s here, November. Corvina’s here.”
Who’s here? What’s a Corvina?
Zlatan stepped forward, “In ze room ve just passed zere’s a place she can sit down. Can you valk, m’lady?”
Vulkasin almost sighed in relief. Always the one to know exactly what to do.
“And if zere’s anyv’one ‘ere to harm either of you, know you ‘ave two Vulkish soldiers on guard.”

May 3, 2022 at 11:38 pm #110350@godlyfantasy12 She is, heh.
Good for him 😂 because she’s going to be stuck there until someone comes and tells her to do something or gets her out of her head for long enough.
(Smh, most of my best characters have something really traumatic about them, and usually in their backstory, whether they know it or not; because, I do have a character who’s got some pretty traumatic things in her past, but is unaware of it because of a traumatic event, lol!)
Sofia
If Morna were here, she’d have better ideas than me. She hated to admit it to herself, but it was true. Morna always had better ideas than her; she could still best Morna at almost anything.
Sofia had been wandering throughout the halls and rooms, all empty of people. Only now was she realizing she should probably have been marking or remember how she came to find her way back to the front door.
“Hello?” she called again, for the seventeenth time. “Anyone? Anyone good?”
Still, no answer.
Natural light spilled into the room in front of her, and when she entered, a large window opened to present a view of a worn courtyard. A man and a very small dragon, somewhat similar to Flame, stood in it, looking up and away from her. He said something, but a wind swept them up into a jumbled mess.
Sofia leaned out of the tall opening and shouted down. “Who are you?” The wind danced past again, teasing her nose with a familiar scent. The ocean?
