They’re adorable!
Btw, I may wish to drop another character in here soon, but not till the group kind of shrinks a bit. She’s actually from a novel I haven’t talked a lot about, as it’s not my main WIP. Anyway, all the lovely pics brought her back to mind.

Y’all I came back on here because I needed something less stressful to do after I fried my brain doing business math…
Less stressful!?! What was I thinking? I leave here for 1 day and I come back and everyone’s choosing sides in a conflict….
My reactions on reading everything I missed: (just in case you wanted to know)
1. CRYING BECAUSE OF ADELAIDE!!!
2. Crying because…. LEON & ADELAIDE 😭😭
3. Why is it that Sorren can cause problems by simply being unconscious?
4. JAYDEN!!! 😪😪 Because after what Sorren did to you…and all that…AND you still want to talk to my boy!?!
I better get myself under control before someone comes in and wonder why I am looking at the computer screen crying…

*considers explaining everything….decides to go with the short answer*
“Nope. Now could you please hand me another tissue box? This fort wall just collapsed. YES I AM IN A TISSUE BOX FORT!! IS THAT A PROBLEM!?!”

Everyone was finally in the window. Riker sighed in relief.
November had been too close.
He heard screeching, and turned.
Naja had Nyx in a strangle hold, and he was struggling to get free, but also not hurting Naja, thank goodness.
“You are SO CUTE!”
“Naja, put Nyx down.” Riker said softly, coming over.
Naja looked up at him. “Okay Daddy.”
She kissed the top of Nyx’s head tenderly and let him go.
He ran to Jocelyn, jumping up onto her shoulder.
Riker let out a deep breath.
“Well, are we gonna get to where we need to?” Ezra asked.

Verity & Trevyn
“Hey Verity, thanks for being here for me and standing up for me.”
Verity almost choked up but instead she swept the medic an elaborate curtsey.
“My pleasure, sir.”
“And Trevyn, don’t be afraid, kid. If you ever need anyone, I’m always willing to listen.” He smiled softly. “Got it?”
(If anyone walks in the room right now and asks why I’m crying with my head on the keyboard, my one-word answer will be “JAYDEN!!”)
Trevyn had never had anyone talk to him like that before – well, apart from Verity, but she was always such a bouncing ball of energy.
“Thanks, Jayden,” he answered in a quiet voice (as his author starts bawling. Verity is glaring at me to be quiet and shoves a tissue box in my face. Oh, thanks.) Trevyn and Jayden stood up together and Trevyn reached for the older man’s hand. “I – I guess I’m just a little shaky from – from what happened back there. That man – Sorren – he – he just reminds me of other – people – I used to know.”
Verity watched Trevyn’s reaction. He was warming up to Jayden, for sure. One good thing to come out of all this chaos.
Then Asher’s words and Corvina’s registered in her ears. Asher’s reasoning didn’t make sense to her at all. But it seemed like they were going to have to put up with Sorren whether she agreed or not. She, personally, was with the other girl on this one, it wasn’t like her opinion was going to change things.
Oh and….
Little miss firecracker?
She had a feeling Trevyn wasn’t going to let her hear the last of that one, but she liked it.
Then Leon spoke up.
Finally!!
Another person on her side!
She left Trevyn and Jayden and stood by Leon, pulling herself up to her full height. Not that that was anything much to speak of.
She tossed her head.
“I couldn’t agree more.”
She could feel the anger in the man at her side. She hadn’t sensed that before and it scared her but Verity still couldn’t back down from her point. She decided Leon had a good handle on this point and contented herself with glaring at Asher.
Payton
This was getting out of hand.
Fast.
Leon and Asher were in the middle of an argument. Verity was standing there giving Asher the hardest looks she could muster. Corvina was on their side. So was Michael. He wasn’t sure about Trevyn and Jayden.
And the cause of the whole debate was lying with a head wound on the floor.
And then Corvina opened her mouth again.
Did she enjoy keeping this debate thing going?
“Look, guys, I’m with Asher on this one. We’re going to be taking Sorren with us because it’s the right thing to do. Anyone who wants to stay behind and figure out another solution on their own without showing love to their enemies is free to do so. If you want to wander off on you own, fine. Do that. But Sorren needs our help, and believe me, I want to leave him here too but I can’t.”
He took a breath and continued,
“Oh and just as a side note, we all probably have a better chance of getting out of here if we all stay together. And I mean ALL of us.” He motioned with his hand to Sorren. “Including him.”
Sorren
Voices.
Loud.
Angry.
Shouting.
Why didn’t they stop?
They only made the fire in his head worse…and worse…
The blackness came again and he let himself sink into it, unresisting.
