She’d been watching the scene play out with wide, anxious eyes, unsure of what to do.
She knew she couldn’t-shouldn’t!- just sit around and do nothing. But…she wasn’t exactly in the best position to help anyone at the moment; crouched uncomfortably behind two crates, eyeing the large, dark figure from behind.
As soon as he’d entered the room, Luna had felt her heart bristle, her senses on high alert.
Darkness seemed to spew from every part of his being.
And the poor man with him…
Who could treat someone like that…
The idea made tears from in Luna’s eyes.
She knew she was naive…maybe a bit too innocent, having lived in caverns most all her life…
But even she knew the difference between right and wrong.
And this was so very wrong.
She’d been going to say hello, to greet her friends, and the stranger, Tony, if she’d heard his name right, when Acheron had entered, and she’d hid.
Because, no matter how much she hated to admit it, she was scared.
Scared of the darkness that poured from him.
And when he’d grabbed Matthew, her friend…Threatening his life…
She knew for sure then, what she felt was no hoax.
She bit her lip, mind running wildly.
What could she do?
Was it possible to summon enough of her powers to…blind him perhaps?
But…if she failed…
She looked around, searching for something to use against him.
They were at a stand still.
What to do…what to-
Luna’s eyes lit on a round, black skillet. She blinked, glanced back at the scene in front of her, and then swiftly reached out from her spot and grabbed the item.
It wasn’t much…and the idea forming in her head was…
Well…
Rather silly…
But…
Maybe…
She sucked in a breath, closing her eyes.
Remember…
Remember Ara. Brave, strong, Arabella.
Use what you have.
Softly, on bare feet, Luna rose, making no sound at all. She crept from her spot in the shadows, making her way towards Acheron’s back.
No one even knew she was there.
Silently she raised her hands to the sky, whispering a prayer, and then-
WHAM!
Acheron crumpled, all his deviousness soured from one strong hit to his sensitive skull.
Matthew shrieked as the sword clattered to the ground, jumping forward and spinning around, spotting Luna. His eyes were wide as saucers.
Luna, pan still held high, blinked in awe.
“Luna?!” Tauren yelled, clamoring to his feet.
Luna laughed joyously, thrilled to her core. “It worked! By Light, it worked!”

Lesli stands back in shock, looking down at Acheron, then at Luna.
“Luna?” Lesli echoes Tauren.
Tauren slowly picks up Acheron’s sword.
Not much heavier than my pickaxe.
He steps back, still watching him warily.
“THAT WAS EPIC!” Lesli exclaims. She raises Luna’s hand in the air triumphantly.
Tauren walks over to Mathew, setting down the sword away from Acheron’s reach.
“You alright there Mathew?” Tauren bends down slightly to look Mathew in the face. A small stream of blood runs down from his collarbone.
I’m sorry we just all love making our favorites experience pain
“OmygoodnessOmygoodness!” Lesli scurries over to Mathew. “How bad is it?”
