        @freedomwriter76 @lightoverdarkness6 (A lot has happened.. XD)

WOOO YEAH GO TONY! THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKIN ABOUT!!XD

        Tauren and Lesli

Tauren watches as the situation escalates. A blue glow appearing from Tony’s hand sends the man slamming against the wall.

“Don’t touch me again, Crow, or I’ll make sure you don’t come back from the next hit. You leave me and these kids alone and we’ll have no problems. Otherwise…” the blue brightens, “you’ll be gone forever.”

        “You wouldn’t.”

Tony takes another step towards Acheron. “Try me.”

Lesli lets out a low whistle, only to be shushed by Tauren, who lightly elbows her arm.

“Well then. Anyways, how do you get this off?” Lesli says, fiddling with the chain around his neck. Tauren watches, still wearily eyeing Tony.

No idea what that is, but glad he’s on our side…

          @lightoverdarkness6 (yes, a lot XD) @mineralizedwritings

          YEAHHHHHH!!!!! XD

          JARED

Jared pulled away from Lesli, a chill spreading up and down his spine.

No one ever touched him unless they wanted to hurt him.

          She…she seemed nice enough.

But Jared didn’t really know her.

          “I-it only unlocks w-with the k-key…”

          “You don’t stand a chance.”

Tony raised an eyebrow. “Oh yeah? Get up, tempt me, I’m in the mood to pummel someone right now.”

Jared faced Tauren and Lesli again.

He swallowed, hard, unsure if he was supposed to speak.

“…H-he…Master, he wears the key on a necklace around his neck that’s h-hidden underneath his armor.”

Of course!! You’re so welcome!! <3<3 And yeah…XD

                  Matthew

The man turned to me, his eyes glittering briefly with irritation. But he merely smirked. “Now, now, no need to be rash…”

Tony interupted him,“Who are you, Crow?”

The man turned to Tony, eyes narrowed. “Crow?”

“Y’know…the black, obnoxious bird that likes shiny things?”

                  I laughed softly.

“I know what a crow is.”

Tony nodded. “I’d hope so. You’re wearing all black, you’re loud, and you have those gold things. Thought it was a fitting nickname for you.”

                  “My name is Acheron.”

“Nice to meet you, Crow. Who’s your companion? Why does he have a collar on?”

Acheron’s eyes narrowed further, black eyes piercing. “You ask a lot of questions.”

Tony shrugged, dropping the man a wink and smirk. “I’m curious, what can I say?”

Acheron chuckled. “No matter. I don’t mind.”

“This is Jared, a…worker of mine. Now, as for you,” his gaze turned to me, “why would you say that to me? Shouldn’t you be quiet?”

My face flushed, and my heartrate increased, thumping wildly. Then I shot him a fierce look, to the surprise of Acheron.

“N-no…I shouldn’t be quiet. Y-your ‘worker’, seems…off. And, by the look of him,” I said, glancing at Jared with a sympathetic glance, “You h-haven’t been a very good master.”

The man sputtered, “Why you little-,”

Tony came to my rescue. “Why don’t you just let him say whatever he wants, hmm? You just got here, Crow, so what makes you think you can come in here and give orders?”

Acheron’s piercing eyes turned back on Tony, but slowly, he smiled and laughed. “I merely asked a question and he seemed to be…harsh. But if none of you know where we are or how to get out, well, why don’t we help each other? What do you say? I can help you, and you can help me. Now that I have introduced myself, who are all of you?”

“Tony Stark, and they are Matthew, Lesli, and Hurricane Hair. What makes you think we’d want you to come with us?”

Acheron laughed, taking another step towards Tony, their noses almost touching. He smiled sadistically. “Aren’t we all in the same…problem?”

I watched, my eyes wide, silently mouthing, ‘Go Tony!’

“Good going Mathew!” Lesli leaned closer to me and gave me a hi-five. Her ecstatic smile said exactly how she felt about the situation.

I blushed slightly, smiling happily. “Th-thanks…”

“I’m going to go talk to him.” Tauren said suddenly, getting up out of his chair and neatly pushing it in behind him.

“I’ll come w-with you,” I said. Lesli came too.

“Hey!” Tauren said, casting a nervous glance at Tony’s intense conversation. “Jared, right?”

Jared faced Tauren, his voice dropping to a nervous whisper, and he still kept glancing ever so often at Acheron, making sure he didn’t hear. “…Hello…”

                  I frowned at Jared.

This isn’t right. Not at all.

I heard Tauren introduce himeslf. “And that’s Lesli over there. She’s a friend of mine. We just ate, but there’s plenty of leftovers if you want them over there.”

                  Jared stared at him.

“…Are you okay?” Tauren asked, concerned.

                  Jared blinked. “…Yes…but I-I really shouldn’t…”

                  “You don’t seem… ok…”

“Hey kid what’s wrong here?” Lesli said, walking up next to me and Tauren. “You just really shy or…” She nodded over at the man talking to Tony.

                  “Is he a problem?”

Suddenly, with a loud blast, Acheron was flung into one of the walls, knocking one of his swords out of it’s sheath. He glared up at Tony. “Why, you-!?”

“Don’t touch me again, Crow, or I’ll make sure you don’t come back from the next hit. You leave me and these kids alone and we’ll have no problems. Otherwise…” the blue brightened, “you’ll be gone forever.”

                  “You wouldn’t.”

Tony took another step towards Acheron. “Try me.”

My eyes widened. I heard Jared say something about…the key to his collar…

                  It’s under Acheron’s armor?

I secretly rooted for Tony to knock out that guy, so we could free Jared.

“You know…” I started. “He doesn’t seem very n-nice…y-you could c-come with us i-if you want? Maybe h-help you find s-some friends?” My brow furrowed .

                  Does…does he have any friends?

                    @mineralizedwritings @lightoverdarkness Thanks! I mean…Tony’s not mine, but…y’know what I mean XD

                    Glad y’all love Jared!!! ❤️

                    JARED

“He doesn’t seem very n-nice…y-you could c-come with us i-if you want? Maybe h-help you find s-some friends?” Matthew’s eyebrows furrowed together.

                    Friends?

                    Jared didn’t have friends.

The knights hated him…saw him as dirt.

Even the other slaves didn’t like him…all because he was Acheron’s slave that stayed by his side at almost all hours.

They said Jared thought he was better than them because of it.

                    Hah…yeah…no.

                    Jared was nothing.

But not everyone saw it that way.

His mind went to his few brief conversations, conversations Acheron would hate if he knew about them, with Alden. King Darvian’s retainer.

The man with the small scar over his left eye…the one who had once been Acheron’s slave too.

The one who told Jared he was worth something.

The one who told Jared that he was so much more than dirt under everyone’s feet.

Jared wrapped his arms around himself, trying to protect his body against the chill. “I-I don’t have any friends.”

And even with Alden around on occasion…

                    it was still true.

                                  @princesachronicle22 @godlyfantasy12

(I ended up not having enough time, lol, but here it is now:) )

                                  Liren

A strange knowing emanated from Kirrtes when the woman walked up. She held a calculated look. Her grey blue eye gaze turned towards the blade I bore.

“Well hello there!” The man beside me said, “So what’s your name?” Namal stood silent, watching. Lies. Kirrtes seemed to tell that something was off about her. The woman looked rather young to be a threat, but she seemed to move in a subtle offensive position. She seemed decisive. could she kill me? I was vulnerable with my arm, what could Kirrtes do to stop her if she just decided to be done with me?

Namal vanished from beside me, seeming to teleport behind the woman, she quickly kicked her down and pinned her. Once again pointing that odd device they called a gun… or shot iron. “You wouldn’t happen to know where we are, would you?” She asked in a similar tone to what she used on me earlier.

“Again with the Shot Iron Nam?” the man asked. Namal seemed to give a hint of pleasure with at the man’s comment. The woman seemed to be relaxed for a moment. Suddenly she screeched, clawing uncontrollably. In a blur, she yanked Namal to the floor and was to her feet again. As she stood, shadows seemed to creep from the corners of the hall, closing in, as if she was willing them to overpower the light. I’m familiar with darkness, but this darkness felt akin to that all consuming abyss that was devouring everything outside the castle. The woman raised her hand, pointing towards Namal. Tiny razorlike wisps of shadow, like cuts into reality, darted towards Namal’s face, only to stop just a small fingers length away.

“Don’t. You. Touch me,” she hissed. There was a burning in her eyes. She smiled. That smile reminded me of when hints of pleasure came from Kirrtes. A smile not of joy, but of malice. Could she kill me?

Kirrtes acted quickly. Shaping my face to look heroic, and making me appear to attempt using the blade. The woman’s eyes darted towards me, then Kirrtes. The blade had me move my arm, it didn’t need to have me fake a scream. I fell to my knees, cradling my arm. Another appearance to gain pity from whoever triumphed.

The man already jumped over me and into a battle stance. The woman rose her other hand. More needles of shadow formed around her. “Don’t you harm her lass! You don’t want to fight with a man who’s lost what he holds most dear!” the man shouted with a might I never would have guessed was in his nature.

The woman gave an intense calculative look at the man. “You don’t know what your up against. I am speaking, and you will not…” her mouth kept moving but her voice stopped. I first assumed was that my hearing had somehow gone out, but she paused, appearing confused as well.

“No lass, you are not speaking, I am. I suggest that we all calm down. Remove your illusions, and we may all speak plainly and peacefully. If not, I will silence more than just your voice.” He spoke both with command and care. “If we may settle this in a peaceful manner, then perhaps we can find some anunni pie to celebrate!” He added, sounding much more cheerful like he was before.

The woman seemed to hesitate, questioning who really had more power over the situation. The man stepped closer a little closer, but that seemed to trigger something within her. She clenched her hand, and the needles plunged into Namal’s face, only for her to vanish again. The woman’s eyes widened, as something wacked her head from behind, leaving her unconscious. Namal standing behind, her face unharmed. The shadow’s receded back into the darker corners of the hall.

“Poor lass. She fell for the same trick. I hope she’ll still be interested in that anunni.” The man said, crouching down beside her. Namal pulled out some rope, and made quick work of binding the woman’s hands, she seemed troubled.

                                  “Those weren’t illusions…” she said.

“What? Of course they were, she’s clearly a light mutant like you,” the man spoke in a more careful whisper, though he seemed to be fine with me hearing. Is that what Namal was doing? Some kind of tricks of the light?

Namal looked over to me. I was still cradling my arm, showing all my attention was towards it. “No, I don’t think so. I could tell, whatever those things she was controlling were, they were real! I had to get out from under them before I could sneak up on her.” She continued.

“…Wait? So your saying you were in actual danger, and I was actually gambling with your life? Why didn’t you tell me?” The man asked, more panicked. She gave him a glare.

“Either way, we need to keep her alive. I don’t like any of this, but we need to figure out what’s going on, bigger things seem to be at play.” She responded.

“Yes, bigger things like the lack of anunni pie! I wonder if Lady Dingy here also hasn’t eaten any like Mr. Pokey Pokey hasn’t. Does she also eat rocks? Ohhhh, do you know each other?” The man asked, looking towards me. Namal looked over at me as well, looking very expectant for what I was going to say.

Kirrtes had me speak, letting me still tend to my arm, “No, I don’t know who this is, and her capabilities are foreign to me.” I said in-between my teeth. “This whole place is foreign and strange for that manner”.

Namal watched me, calculative as always. “We need to move, but Irvan, I still want you to answer every question I ask, and we will do the same with… Lady Dingy here.” Kirrtes had me nod, but in a reluctant fashion.

I still felt that strange feeling towards the woman coming from Kirrtes. It seemed to bear a great intrigue for her. I felt its strong frustration that it couldn’t do anything because of my arm, as I watched that small skirmish between them play out. Kirrtes wanted to undo them all, but something about that woman intrigued it still. Who is she?

(Sorry I flipped the table again. And sorry Liren had to be more of an observer this time. Hopefully there will be more chances for intriguing dynamics and battles of different kinds. Also I wasn’t sure how comfortable Corvina was with just killing someone, but I was guessing it wasn’t an issue to her, so I went with it. Is that right?)

He is perfect in Justice, yet He is perfect in Mercy, even when we fail Him. For this, He is good.
