@loopylin No problem! I think Elissa and Feather are sorta distracted from treating Simon anyway, lol.

@princesachronicle22 and @godlyfantasy12 if we’re planning to meet up

        Liren

“Well, your about to find out.” the Man said, holding out a hand. The blade still emanated a calculative essence. I held out my right hand, letting the Man pull me up to my feet, he had a firm grip. “Careful, don’t stab me with that thing again!” he teased. Kirrtes emanated a tenseness, but had me make no movements as the man let go of my hand, walking back over to Namal.

“I don’t know about annuni, but we’ll have to search for supplies.” Namal commented, still eyeing both me and the blade.

The Man looked offended, “Not having tasted annuni for all of ones life is a sin! It would be a far more ceremonious thing to cleanse him of his taste of rocks than any political feast! And again, they’ll help with his memory.” Should I try telling him I actually don’t eat rocks? Would Kirrtes even let me?

“Well we can have a dedicated banquet just for him if you find some.” Namal said dryly, “either way, we need to move. Will you be able to walk with your side?” She asked the man. He smiled and gave a gesture that I assumed was a ‘I’ll be fine’ dismissal, and began to walk down the hallway. She then looked to me and nodded. Kirrtes urged me to move. Slowly, I began to walk past her, watching her suspicious glare. My actions haven’t seemed to really help change her opinions of me, and I think I would feel the same, they seemed pretty inconsistent. What was Kirrtes trying to do?

Namal was being smart, having me in the middle, where she can keep an eye on me. If I were to try anything funny, she would be able to do away with me quickly. If only Kirrtes had a sense of humor.

The Man began “Your gonna love it! The experience of tasting anunni is like eating a fresh berry stuffed pastry after eating nothing but rocks your whole life!”

“That’s all anunni is, and I don’t think he actually eats rocks” Namal said.

“Of course it isn’t! Anunni could only be compared to a berry stuffed pastry from the prospective of rocks! Which is why he obviously does eat rocks! If he didn’t, he would have told us, isn’t that right?” he asked me.

“…I…” Kirrtes let slip into my lips.

“Exactly! See, he agrees with me, your argument is as silly as saying guns are better than swords! Mr. Pokey Pokey is a smart one isn’t he, other than eating rocks…

“I don’t follow. What shall we call you by the way? Does Pokey suit you? Or shall we call you Creature, as you’ve said before?” Namal asked, maintaining her stern voice again.

My… name? A pulse of mocking pleasure came from Kirrtes, “… call me Irvan” it put into my mouth. That was the last person I killed, a little boy…

“…Hmm, meh, I’m still calling you Mr. Pokey Pokey.” the man responded.

Kirrtes allowed the silent tears to roll down my face, keeping me faced forward, as to not let them be seen…

I don’t have any ideas for Ami and the rest of them either. 😂 They can just aimlessly walk through the castle until Ev and Will show up. 🤣

          Everton

“This is taking forever!” Will grunted as they ran down the hall from the dragon.

“Do you have any bright ideas on how to go faster, huh!?” Ev retorted.

Will nodded. “Actually, yeah, I do!”

Before Ev knew what was happening, he was being lifted into Will’s arms and carried down the hall. Despite how much Ev wanted to protest, he didn’t. After all, they were moving much faster and gaining ground ahead of the dragon.

Finally, the dragon was out of sight, but not out of hearing. It was still pursuing them, but Will gently lowered Ev to the ground. Ev leaned against a wall and stared at Will in shock.

“I can’t believe you just did that,” Ev said flatly.

Will smirked. “It worked, didn’t it?”

Ev didn’t reply. After a moment he said, “We tell no one of this.” He eyed Will with a serious expression.

Will nodded. “You have my word,” he replied quickly. “I would never.”

A small smile came to Ev’s lips. “You know… you’re not that bad after all.”

Will raised an eyebrow. “And I was before?”

“Well, I—” Before he had a chance to explain, Ev felt the pounding the dragon clawed feet. “I’ll tell you later.” Ev glanced up at the ceiling. Dirt came down as the pounding became more violent. “You think we can get on the dragon’s back?” Ev suggested.

Will shrugged. “We can try. But how would we do that?”

“Let’s try moving along the wall to get behind it. When the dragon shows up, we’ll sneak behind it and climb up its tail as quickly as possible. Hopefully we’ll get on its back. And hopefully it decides to fly upwards.”

“That’s too much to hope on.”

“Hope is all we have right now.”

Will nodded. He supported Ev’s left side and they pressed themselves against the wall. The dragon came closer, whizzing right by them. Ev bit his lip to keep from crying out as the tip of its tail at just lightly touched his hurt leg. A sharp pain shot through his leg.

The dragon came to the end of the hall where Ev and Will were previously. “I know you’re here.” It called out, looking around with its glowing amber eyes. “I smell you.”

Ev gulped. They were directly behind the dragon now. He and Will exchanged quick glances. They both nodded.

And then onto the dragon they jumped.

                    N’nesha

The figure emerged from the shadow. He was another human, but I still couldn’t identify a race. He definitely wasn’t related to Uvah. He had ragged dark clothing, and was holding a strangely shaped object in his hand… it looked silly.

“H-h-hello…I-I won’t hurt you…I p-promise…” he seemed to wince at the comment.

Neshe: Well that was very reassuring. Another even slower talking human. He doesn’t seem threatening after that, but can we trust him still? What is that thing he’s holding?

Nele: Ok, this guy is hilarious! Poor man doesn’t know how to talk to girls. Despite the statement, he’s probably not a threat.

“I don’t believe you would.” said Uvah, I was kind of getting used to the slow dragging speed of one-speak, though it was still annoying.

Neshe: The man, though now seeming far less threatening, is still creeping me out just standing there. The object is giving me a strange feeling as well?

Nele: Do I need to deal with two slow speaking humans now though?

Uvah finished bandaging my arms, then lay a hand on my shoulder, “I hope that helps.”

                    Neshe: It does.

Nele: If only it was done properly with Shal’le doctors, but thanks anyways I guess.

Uvah looked back at the man. She raised a fist to her head, then opened it. “I’m Uvah” she said, “and this is… Neshe and Nele”.

Neshe: Should I correct her on that? I think I should be able to say it right without two-speak now.

Nele: I’m not sure how I feel about him knowing my name quite yet…

The man seemed reluctant, but he slowly walked closer, seeming a little calmer. “…I… I’m Bucky”.

He is perfect in Justice, yet He is perfect in Mercy, even when we fail Him. For this, He is good.

If he does get redeemed, it would be less of a redemption, and more of a finding freedom from Kirrtes. Kirrtes is the one that killed that little boy through Liren. If he does become free however, the question is whether or not he will actually ever be truly free. After the amount of inhuman amount of trauma he’s gone through, will he be able to move on? So his arch would have more to do with first finding freedom if possible, then somehow healing, if that’s even possible.

He is perfect in Justice, yet He is perfect in Mercy, even when we fail Him. For this, He is good.

I can’t really go next because Layson has no knowledge of poison, I don’t think he can help Serin and might be a little confused rn lol. What do you guys want to happen next? We aren’t sure if Serin is ok, but my charries can’t help a whole lot with that. If somehow they can figure out it isn’t poison, Layson can bandage it for her though. What do you guys think? If somebody wants to do something with the poison plot (further it or end it) It’ll be easier to move forwards 🙂

@thearcaneaxiom I see. So it’s not so much redemption as being freed. In any case, I hope he gets some sort of good ending someday. I see you’ve invested a lot in this character.

Yeah, though I guess redemption would partially correct still. He himself feels guilty of all these atrocities, and he needs to be redeemed from that guilt. And also, who picked up the sword? Even if he didn’t know at the time, it at first was his free will that led him to Kirrtes, and therefore to murdering thousands of people. He is the victim to Kirrtes, but he doesn’t put all the blame on Kirrtes, though that is often because Kirrtes reminds Liren that it is Liren’s hand that moves the blade. Someday maybe. Ultimately I believe he will find physical freedom someday, but mental freedom after that will be entirely up to him.

He is perfect in Justice, yet He is perfect in Mercy, even when we fail Him. For this, He is good.
