Ella glanced over at November, and she nodded and smiled. “They are blue…a very light, beautiful blue…great pick, Paxton. See, you’re already wonderful at this game, Paxton!”
Lily nodded in agreement. “Yeah, Paxie, we’re so happy you’re here! Can I give you a hug…?”

Should we add in a villain/antagonist/anti-hero at this point? Or should we just keep it as it is for now, since there’s enough conflict between Will and Ev? XD
I mean, it’s up to you, but for now, I think we’ve got enough between Will and Ev.

Henry’s cries and frantic effort to get away from his grandmother kept Eddie on edge,

Eddie’s tail twitched and she glared back.

Frida continued to stare at the girl.
Quite the freak, she was…odd.
Just like the red freak she had met a long, long time ago.

Frida merely nodded. “I’m family…much more than a friend. I didn’t ask for your relationship to them, girl…I asked for your name. I am Frida, and this is my husband-”
“Felix.” Felix interrupted, giving the freak a mere nod.

“My name is Eddie.” Eddie said, returning Felix’s nod.
Adolphus held Henry tighter, and he glanced over at Jason, who still held Aiden in his arms.
Henry whimpered and wrapped his arms around Adolphus’ neck even tighter.
No one would hurt his sons…no one would abuse his babies.
But in complete honesty…
…they weren’t the ones in the most danger.
Frida turned to face Adolphus, distaste still on her face over Eddie, and Adolphus swallowed hard. “How are you, Mutti…?”
Frida’s eyes narrowed. “I’m fine…I’d be better if my grandbabies would come see me more…and if they’d come over right now.”
“Nanaw!” Aiden crowed, as energetic and happy as Henry was shy and terrified.
Frida smiled, sashaying to Jason’s side to take Aiden into her arms. She kissed his forehead. “There we go. At least one of my grandbabies want to be with me.”
Felix turned to Eddie again. “And Eddie, where are you from? How did you meet all of them?”

Paxton
Paxton tensed, hands squeezing Hope’s fur tight. He stared at the bright-eyed little girl for a moment before slowly nodding, chin barely touching his neck.
The girl gave the biggest smile, immediately flinging her arms around him. He let out a small gasp, going stiff as a board as Lily squeezed him.
As she continued to hug him, Paxton’s shoulders relaxed, his hands uncurling from Hope’s fur and slowly wrapping around Lily’s torso, embracing her as well.
The two stayed like that for a moment: With Paxton taking in all the warmth he could get.
They didn’t stop until a noise made them.
A shuffle of sorts, one that drew the groups attention and made conversations stop.
“Hello?” Riker called out, slowly standing to his feet.
The shuffling stopped, turning into slow footsteps instead until a few shadows appeared revealing…
Leon?
November smiled, jumping to his feet. Until he saw the pained expression on the man’s face, and the tear-streaked eyes of the children beside him.
And then, the man holding his collar appeared behind him…
November’s heart dropped.
He’d seen that man before…
Last time in the castle…

And…
Paxton let out a loud cry, clutching his bear and shuffling backwards on hands and knees, eyes shaking as he stared at the dark-eyed man.
The same one who’d held Arabella at sword point….
November’s fists clenched, heat rising to his chest. Into his arms. His hands.
He breathed heavy.
No. Not again. Not with all these kids…
He sucked in a breath and then released it.
He had to be strong. Somehow.
He looked over at Paxton who was now up against the wall.
“Leon! What-“ Riker seemed confused, but his eyes looked angry as he watched the man grip Leon’s collar tighter.
“Uncle Leon…?” Lily tearfully asked, crawling back to where her mother was.
“Well….seems I’ve hit quite the jackpot when it comes to hostages Hm?” The man raised a brow, eyes then landing on Paxton and November. “Wait…I…Recognize you two…”
Paxton whimpered, tucking himself into a ball.
November moved toward him until the man shot him a look. “I wouldn’t.” He tightened his grip on Leon.
November stopped.
