@freedomwriter76 sure!! @gwyndalf-the-wise YALL THIS IS SOOOOO LONG BUT MY BOYS RAN AWAY WITH IT AND I LUV WRITING THEM TOGETHER THIS WAS SO KUCH FUN!
Grimm
“November. November…”
The ginger rolled over with a tired groan, eyes blinking blearily. He tilted his head, moaning with sleep.
“Wh-at?” He blinked again, stretching some. Then, with a gasp, he sat up straight, narrowly avoiding knocking his head against Grimm’s-thankfully Grimm had excellent reflexes. “W-What’s wrong?” He whispered, panicked.
“Whoa, easy,” Grimm placed a hand on November’s shoulder, steadying the now wiry looking young man. “Nothing. Well…nothing to go into a state of panic about.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” November rubbed his eyes, wincing slightly as he did, as if remembering he had scars. Grimm frowned, wondering if he did indeed forget.
It was sometimes easy to forget when one couldn’t always see them.
Though…some scars could never be forgotten…
He absently finger the locker hanging from his belt loop, peering around the room as November pulled a knee up to his chest.
“I think we back at The Castle.”
November looked around as well, seeing that where they now slept was far from where they’d laid their heads the night before.
This place was dark, dusty, dripping with an unknown dampness that made your skin crawl.
Though…Grimm wasn’t sure if he preferred the place they had been to this.
Though it had been much more lavish…
It hadn’t felt right.
He shook his head, sighing.
November was frowning, head laid on his knee. “Have you seen anyone else?”
Grimm shook his head. “Only you.”
The ginger nodded. Grimm dusted off his knees, rising to stand. He held out a hand, to his companion, helping November to his feet.
“We both know how hard it is to find people in this castle. At least…people we want to find. We should start looking. And stay together. Last thing we need is to get split up.”
“And if we don’t have a choice?” November rubbed his arm, remembering the last time they were here, and the magic that had separated him from his friends, and also changed the ages of a few others.
“We cross that bridge when we get ther-”
Grimm paused, eyes narrowing as he jerked his head towards a door that was slightly ajar. November followed his gaze, brow raised.
“What is it?” He whispered.
Grimm held a finger to his lips. Listened. Relaxed.
He smiled slightly.
“It’s us…you can come out.” He said gently, bending down a few inches.
After a few seconds of silence, the door opened a bit more, revealing the white-haired figure peeking out from the doorframe.
November grinned. “Paxton!” He approached the door, only to see the figure disappear behind it. The ginger stopped, flinching.
Grimm frowned coming up behind November.
“Pax…?” November sounded hurt, though Grimm knew he didn’t mean to take the kid’s reaction personally.
“It’s not you,” Grimm said. November slowly nodded, but it didn’t seem like he believed it. “He’s just scared.”
Grimm approached the door, getting down on one knee. “Hey Snow. It’s me, Wulf, and Ember. You’re safe.”
The door creaked open again, this time showing a spot of brown, matted fur that both boys knew belonged to Paxton’s most valuable possession.
“Snow?”
Grimm sat in silence, November standing behind him a few feet away, both waiting patiently.
Patience…
That’s what it would take to coax him out. To show him all would be well.
“Th-This isn’t…isn’t a…a dream?” The small voice spoke from behind the door.
Grimm sucked in a breath.
Ah, the nightmares.
He knew the kid was plagued with them, usually every night. Sometimes even when he didn’t sleep.
It was something quite a few in their little ragtag group could personally relate to…
“No Snow, no dream. We’re really here.”
Another few seconds passed. The door opened wider. Now they could see one half of his face, a few strand of his hair falling into it.
The boy’s eyes reached behind Grimm to November. Grimm looked back, nothing November to come forward.
He hesitated.
Finally he did, waving awkwardly. “Heya Pax!” He winced slightly, hand reaching to his neck, rubbing it in apprehension.
Paxton gave a small smile.
“N-No dreams?”
November lowered his hand, eyes looking as serious as Grimm had ever seen them. He shook his head. “Not a dream. I promise.”
The door opened finally, revealing the boy, stuffed bear wrapped tightly in one arm.
Grimm smiled, slowly standing.
Paxton was smiling now, eyes wide, childlike, like they should be. November slowly stretched out his arms and Paxton walked into them, allowing the ginger to gently hug him and ruffle his hair.
Grimm couldn’t help but notice that, when it came to November, or Ember as Paxton preferred to call him, the child never tensed up on contact.
It was as if he could somehow sense that November wouldn’t hurt him.
Not that any of the others would. But…it was just, different.
Perhaps that was why, whenever the boy was afraid, like earlier, it hurt November so much to see.
Paxton looked around, brows furrowing. “I-It’s th-that castle a…again.”
Grimm nodded. “Afraid so.” He looked to his left where another door stood. “Why don’t we try there?”

@freedomwriter76 @godlyfantasy12
Okay then… XD I have characters without a group in the castle but I reeeeally wanna write this one so I’m gonna add her to this group. …I may or may not add Teilo and Evander later (unless y’all think the group’s too big) but for now it’s just her.
Name: Zules
Age: 16
Personality: Sweet, direct, loves to encourage others. Loves jokes. Has been kidnapped and held hostage before so…she’s not going to be very happy about being randomly dropped in a castle alone. She has PTSD, but I haven’t nailed down which type yet. Wary of strangers since the kidnapping, but can be won over eventually. Hates injustice, can struggle to see others’ points of view.
Physical Appearance: So I’m really bad at explaining this so I’m just gonna draw her and then show y’all…😅 Since I don’t really know how I can show her height, she’s around…5’8 with the hair, and 5’4 without it. (estimating, I don’t really think of characters’ heights in terms of measurable numbers…)
But if you need one now, there’s a picture I drew with Derek in it in the Art Sharing Forum, and she looks like Derek (they’re cousins) but female, yellowish + light lime eyes, and wears purple, and her hair is a little bit different.- This reply was modified 1 year, 11 months ago by Gwyndalf the Wise.

They froze.
Not of their own accord.
Crosshair growled. What was this, a world-controller’s bad idea of a joke? [nobody’s going to get that reference, it’s from the fanfic I pulled these characters from]
“Cammie?” Milo shouted through the door.
“Milo?” came the reply.
“We can’t open the door. It’s like the air is just…stopping us.” Milo explained to her.
“Come on,” Crosshair muttered, summoning as much strength as possible to stretch his arm toward the doorknob.
Milo watched. “Actually, I think we’ll be able to. Just wait a moment.”
The doorknob was colder than it should’ve been–it felt like touching ice. Crosshair restrained himself from shuddering as his hand gripped it.
He turned the knob and tugged. The hold that the air had on all three of them broke, and he found himself staggering backward, only just retaining his balance, as the door jerked open.
Feather held onto his shoulder to keep steady as a rush of air greeted them, but it faded quickly. Five characters stumbled into the room.

January 29, 2023 at 4:07 pm #130513I just RPed yesterday for our group (you, me, and Gwyndalf). I had it stop to where Skyler was introducing herself to someone. You or @gwyndalf-the-wise can pick it up from there.
In our group with @godlyfantasy12 you can go ahead and RP if you want. 🙂 I don’t have time right now. But if you don’t, I can tomorrow. 🙂

who’s the fifth person? I can’t remember.
Beth
Simon and Beth stumbled into the next room. Simon still leaned on her for support, his eyes squeezed shut against the pain in his head. There were three people waiting there for them. Beth recognized Milo, but the other two were new. She narrowed her eyes at them and took a step back.
“Who are you?”

“Who are you?” one of them asked.
One was supporting another. What’d happened?
Feather gestured to herself, then to her husband. “My name’s Feather, and that’s Crosshair. I’m assuming you already know Milo. What are your names?”

January 29, 2023 at 4:33 pm #130523Beth
Beth continued to eye them with suspicion, but… Feather seemed friendly. There was no reason yet to distrust these people. Beth slowed her breathing and tried to calm her nerves.
“Beth.” she said. “And this is my brother, Simon.”
Simon managed to open his eyes slightly and smile at them, though it ended up looking more like a grimace.

“Beth.” explained the one who’d been eyeing them. “And this is my brother, Simon.” She still looked wary, but had relaxed a bit.
Simon–the injured one–tried to smile, but it came out as more of a grimace.
“How was he hurt?” Feather asked.

@gwyndalf-the-wise. Ooh, she sounds really interesting!!! 😀 @godlyfantasy12. You’re fine! My characters can run away with it too sometimes, lol. 😂 I hope both of y’all and everyone here had a great Sunday!!
Worship was great…I went to work nursery afterwards and subsequently got sneezed on by a 4-year-old, but whatcha gonna do? 🤷🏻♀️🤣
Riker
Someone was close.
Very close.
He turned to face Iris and his kids. “Stay there.”
He inched forward towards the door.
“Daddy…what is it?” Lily whispered.
Iris held their youngest daughter close and laid a protective hand on her stomach where Riker’s and Her’s fifth child still was. “Shh…baby…shh…”
Riker turned back around to face the door. Too bad he didn’t carry weapons…but even though he didn’t, no one would get close to his wife and kids.
He’d die first.
Riker’s fingers grabbed the door handle and whispering a prayer of protection and strength underneath his breath, he flung the door open. “Whoever’s in there: come out with hands up!” He ordered, ready to fight if necessary.
